I would like to enable the Smart Cover Mode on my mi 9 but I can't seem to find it anywhere.
I found a thread in mi 9T that indicated it was in Lock & password -> Advanced settings -> Smart Cover Mode but I don't have these "Advance settings" anymore.
So my question is : does it exist ?
If yes, where do I find it ?

2. There is no Lock and password setting, there is a setting called Password and security if this is what you mean.
I can only guess that you mean an equivalent to the Samsung thing with the same name that is triggered by a magnet in the cover. Since Xiaomi doesn't make covers I highly doubt that there has ever been a cover-setting here.
Not that I know of. I once used an Asus Zenfone 2 and it does have that function where when you use a flip case that supports smart cover, the screen will turn on when you open the cover and sleep when you close it. The Xiaomi MiPad 4 has that function.
Mi 9 hasn't Hall sensor
I don't have the option to switch on ambient display under display/lock screen settings. I just got the phone and it was updated to Android 11 in a flash so i didn't check if the option was there under 10 (maybe a different location) It should exist because now i also have the see-through style cover designed for this feature. Xperia support doesn't have anything to say about this nor google one, the latter isn't even familiar with the phone because apparently it's not sold in the states. So do you know if its just my phone or is it the stock Android 11? Model XQ-AU52
I've recently flashed dotOS 5.2 on my g9 plus and it has most of Moto actions built in but quick access to apps via double-tapping fingerprint scanner is not included. Does anybody know how to add this gesture? Maybe some kind of APK port? Or is it built in stock ROM?
If there's no way to get this exact app maybe there are some alternatives?
The camera cutout drives me crazy and I want the ability to hide it. Is it possible to downgrade an unlocked/rooted G781B/DS back to OneUI 2.5 or whichever the last version was that allowed hiding the camera?

Android 12 introduced a feature called "Dim Screen" which allows you to further reduce your brightness than lowest possible on brightness slider, but it is missing from MIUI 13.0.4.0 Global Update for RN10 plus. Is there a way to access this feature. I'm asking because apps like Night Screen or Night Owl, which I used to rely on before dont work on Android 12. You cannot interact with UI if any app is "displaying over other apps". I really need much lower brightness at night and its became a hassle.
Anyone knows the solution?
If you're rooted, you can use cf.Lumen on the A12 MIUI ROM. It doesn't seem to have any issues with displaying over other apps, and it's a great app, one of the best of this kind, because it doesn't just put an overlay on the screen, it directly affects color channels.
Without root, I think I remember Twilight causing no issues like that on A12.
I doubt the dimming feature is accessible in MIUI, given that MIUI handles brightness quite differently.

Same here. On the Xiaomi 12X the extra dim feature is not avaiable. Latest global 13.02
Download the apps called MIUI downloader from Playstore, there was a tab called hid. Features and you will find the extra dim feature there.
Just activate it and it will be shown in control center toggle also
