Is there a way to keep phone unlocked when connected by Bluetooth to a 3rd party non Xiaomi device?
When riding my bike I want phone to be unlocked when paired with my helmet's headset.
Thx
Anyone who can help here?

I have the dpx500bt, and I am trying to get an idea of whether or not the moto x will work well with it. I currently have an iphone, and kenwood seems to have gone out of their way to support that. With an android phone, it is unclear whether I will even be able to make/receive phone calls.
Hi,
I've recently gotten the Mi5 and one issue that i have discovered is that when i connect it to the car hands free (Toyota Yaris with Toyota Touch 1) It doesn't let me speak and i can't hear the person on the other end.
There is a workaround where i would have to on the phone swap the output from Bluetooth - Handsfree - back to bluetooth and then it starts working again. I'm not sure its possible to replace the stock phone app on the device but although there is a work around it defeats the purpose of hands free calling if i have to do that while in the car!
Anyone have any ideas for a fix?
Thanks,

I did forget to mention that it worked fine with the Oneplus One it just appears to have this strange bug on the Mi5
Hi gavrai,
I have the same bluetooth issue. But when I answer the call using my phone I can talk using my car's audio without using the 'Bluetooth - Handsfree - back to bluetooth' method.
I am running the MIUI Global 7.2.4.0.0(MAACNDB) on my Mi5 connecting to a Volvo V40.
When I connect a HTC M7 or M8 to the car everything is working ok.
Hope someone has an idea
Maybe we should check the Xiaomi forums if there are any.....
I've got a mi5 and if I'm listening to music and then use the speaker of the phone, i.e. make a call, receive a call, make a voice recording to send via FB messenger or voice recording to send by text, then, when it switches back to music/podcast/bluetooth, the music/podcast starts skipping, like a record. I cannot figure out how to stop this glitch from happening. I've had one or two updates since I got the phone but this keeps happening and it's really frustrating. The only way I can stop the skipping is to turn off my bluetooth and then turn it back on. Any one have this issue or know how to fix it? Thanks
Hi there,
This is Simon from germany.
I have some questions about the device listened above.
Often I can´t pair the device via bluetooth to my smartphone, to use hand-free-calling for example. What can I do?
And: does this device only is able to receive signals via bluetooth, but not to send them?
For example: I´m running an android app on my smartphone which allows me to control my stereo-amplifier. No problems. But running the same app on the device on the ES6301F, doesn´t let me find the stereo-amplifier.
Is this normal?
Thanks and greetings,
Simon
Hi,
I have the same device than you since today. I have no problem to pair it with my old LG G3. I can use hand free call and a2dp streaming.
Hi guys,
I have this wonderfull galaxy s20fe, huawei watch gt2 pro and kenwood car bt. issue.
Before this phone i had huaweu p30 and had no issue.
Everytime you call or get a call, you need to choose kenwood bt from tiny arrow and then you can talk on kenwood headset which is very dangerous.
I have tried many health app versions, tried to re-pair devices in different order and only time everyhing is working, is, when the watch is not connected.
I would like to retain ability of my watch to get and do calls( I know it can be turned off)
Do you mastermind's have any tryout or solution to this stupid but annoying problem?
Thank you in advance
For whatever reason, XIAOMI has decided to allow Bluetooth Smart Unlock only for XIAOMI devices.
I have a bluetooth headset on my motorbike helmet that, when placing a phone calls, requires the phone to be unlocked: I click on the call button, I say the name, and it goes like "ok but first you have to unlock your phone". You can imagine how annoying this is, since I cannot unlock the phone while driving a motorbike. My car's bluetooth and my Galaxy Buds do not have the same problem. I contacted the headset maker and they say I need to use the smart unlock because they do not have any specific permission to make the device work when phone is locked.
Anyone who can sugest a solution?
thx
Anyone here pls?
