I'm in the US with a NE2215 on Verizon. I have everything in the phone and weather app set to °F but when I open the 15 day forecast from within the weather app it opens weather.com and defaults to °C.
Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas on how to fix?

Welcome to Canada...lol...try uninstalling and reinstall...see if that helps
On weather.com,click on menu button (3 lines hamburger). In Menu look at the top right corner where you will see your country and Celsius sign, click on Celsius, and you can change to Fahrenheit. Hope this helps

One weather.com is open, click on the hamburger menu on the top right side and there you can switch language as well temerature metrics.
Yes I know. But it defaults back to Celsius everytime I click on 15 day forecast.

How often does everyones weather update, mine goes for days without updating unless I click the update button.....
Cheers
It won't update automatically unless you tell it to....supposedly
You need to tap on the city name at the top of the plugin, then when the city list is displayed, tap on Menu | Weather Options and make sure the "Download weather data automatically" is checked.
That's the theory at least - mine is ticked and like you, I have to tap on the weather panel on the home screen to get the damn thing to update
There is another option - "Download when roaming", but I've not ticked that box....might be worth a try?
Cheers,
Mark.

Thanks all for the help.... didnt even notice the options menu in the city select.......
Hi,
Yet another strange thing I am having. For setting the weather location in LG's home clock/weather widget I select "current location". Can it really be tru that it does not update likek the HTC weather? I can't use a weather report based on eg. my home address when I travel 100 km for work!

Seems to be a problem, yes because there is no proper configuration...
It's a great widget but it also updates (refreshes) very slowly and this can not be adjusted.
You travel 100km for work!
I also had a problem with changing my location.
The solution was de-install and install the widget again.
Then you can change the temp, location, time whene to update etc..

You can get the that screen after hitting the weather picture on the icon then menu then settings... but it's doesn't have a "follow me" or "update frequency" option as far as I can tell.

Yeah, 104 KM to be exact. Each way...but its 7 days on/off.
your not exactly de-installing it you remove the widget from your screen. hold it and then drag it to the bin. Then you put the widget back.

I have tried this several times but it does still not give me as much options as You state. No update freq. change! And still it does not update on current location unless I manually click inside the widget.
I also just bought the phone so the method is a bit extencive.
what you can do is push on the widget so that if wil onfold.
Then press on the left button next to the home button.
and press options.
You than can change the temp. as in fahrenheit or celcius.
You can also ad multiple locations.
You can't do anything about the auto update.
Use Fancy Widget, there is a fee version on marked works very nice.
Its pitty. This widget is really beautifull, even with animations. Only think which I am missing is refresh rate setting :-( I hope that this can be solved in near future...
yap, the widget its beautiful, can anyone has a fixed in this one, i'm from New Zealand, Daylight saving just began, but the clock of the widget still the same. the actual clock is different to the clock of the widget, even the update is at the button of the widget +1 hour . see picture. thanks
Hello all. I am constantly getting a toast notification at the bottom of my screen that says something to the effect of "The weather forecast is automatically set to (my city). You can change it in the forecast details page." It comes up about 10 times a day. How do I get rid of it? Where is the forecast details page?

Sounds like this is from an app you have installed
Yup, you installed some app that has a shady business model. Start uninstalling things into it goes away (and report back here what it was, so that others might avoid the problem in the future.)
Last night we switched to DST (East coast US), now the standard Samsung Weather widget shows the wrong time. Phone system time is correctly auto - updated.
Anyone has an idea how to get correct time in weather widget?

I'm having the same problem on both my Note 8 & my S8+. Both are running beta releases of Oreo.
What version of android are you on?
delete widget and then readd it. and or click on the small arrow circle logo to update it. mine is ok now.
My wife's S8 and my Note 8 are doing the same. I assume it's a bug on Samsung's end.....

I tried this before and just tried again and it's still incorrect.
Same here sh***y app design.

Of course I tried all delete-reinstall-update-etc possibilities, no dice..
Guess it will remain this way until Europe switches to DST in two weeks...
I have the same exact problem on my Note 8. It shows the correct updated time though, on the bottom right corner of the widget, but not the big clock. Also when I tried reinserting the widget, it's showing correct clock on the widget preview. But when I apply it, still shows an hour begind.

I tend to agree but on the the other hand, at the core this wouldn't be an issue if the stupid and unnecessary time change would be a thing of the past already. it causes more headaches and issues than it acctualy solves. less than 40% of the countries world wide use DST. it is a testament that it is useless and the world keeps on spinning without it.
its 2018. can we all act like it?
Hahaha I was just having the same issue and this is the first thread I see, gotta love XDA. It's weird because if you clear data/cache the time will be the correct time but if you add your current city it throws it back 1 hour, very odd. Also rebooting the device doesn't help. I said screw it and just started using the 2x3 weather widget instead of the 5x1 weather and clock.

ye ah screw it. Try FU weather
40 hours later and it seems to be fixed. Too many close calls today looking at it and thinking that's the time.
Proper way to fix this is to long press the app widget and go into app info. Force stop. Then Tap storage and clear cache and data. Close everything and do this one more time. Come back and you'll be good to go after you tap the widget to set your city. If you only do this one time it seems to remember something in the cache somewhere.
Hi Everyone. I use Bixby and when I ask about the weather it will tell me the temperature in Fahrenheit but I'm in the UK and we use Celsius. Is there a way to set celcius in Bixby? Thanks
Ask it to tell you the weather in Celsius (tell me the weather in Celsius). It is a workaround as otherwise Bixby defaults to Fahrenheit despite the deafult in Weather Channel app being setup to C°
Thanks
