Ouch.
Texas is a better state to live. W TX is a boomtown again. It was in the 60's two days ago.

Staying warm with a space heater, life is good...

I'm going camping this weekend. There will be no net or wifi or tv or anything! Just trees, bugs, and I'm sure tigers and stuff. THIS IS GONNA SUCK SQUARED!
I'm also camping this weekend
But I'm looking forward to it. You have to unplug every so often young man. Does your device have a camera? If so you can get some cool nature shots to upload when you get back. Just don't feed the tigers.
see you next week

if not try to get psychiatric help
Going camping is one of my favorite things to do. The only electronic I make sure to bring is my stereo. It's nature, you have to enjoy it, just hope the weather is good.

Camping is awesome. I live up in northern Minnesota near Boundary Waters. Just bring out the 12 guage, your tent and some pop cans. Dont forget stuff to build a fire and beer if you're of age. Also, if you're smart about it you can have a pretty good barbeque out in the wilderness so long as you hide the left over scraps a good ways away from your camp, or submerge it for the night in a plastic bag
all you need is the great outdorrs some rubber gloves and baby wipes
AH YES CAMPING

This thread is just for wine lovers. I collect wines but unfortunately I can't afford expensive ones (since I burn cash through phones LOL).
But anyways I am a fan of wine and love vineyards.
I am hunting down a bottle of Shafer Hillside Select.
Any fellow wine drinkers here?
Mmm this is what I drink for the holidays:

Orange Jubilee is my favorite, it really takes the pain and loneliness away, and the bottle makes an excellent pillow when sleeping on park benches or under overpasses.

As a friend says "The best wine is the one you choose"
My choice all the time is a French red wine:
Beaujolais
Im not much of a wine drinker but if I do I prefer a white, either chenin or sauvignon blanc.
Was clearing out a house recently and found a bottle of red, vintage 1969
Unfortunately it was worthless......

I swigged out a half bottle of Les jamelles Syrah last night at the Wild Grape Bistro and still was able to go on a date and take wine notes.
Hot damn
Dark Full body Reds like Cabernet Sauvignon, Chianti, and Bordeaux.
Hey galaxys!
Long time no see you.
Happy Christmas
Hi Orb,
It's been a while since being over here...been hanging mostly in the Nexus section. Hope all is well with you...Feliz Navidad!
I feel so tired from drinking a Robert Mondavi Cabarnet Sauvignon last night with some steak, shrimp, and lobster tail out in Wendover. dangggggg...
cabernet sauvignon casillero del diablo from Concha y Toro (Chile). I'm just having some right with christmas leftovers..LoL
I usually like any white wine that isn't in a box... I don't really have a preference though

Japanese Whaling Operations Suspended
17 Feb 2011: "Japanese Fisheries Agency official Tatsuya Nakaoku said the Japanese factory ship, the Nisshin Maru, had suspended operations since February 10 "to ensure the safety (of the crew)" following numerous skirmishes with Sea Shepherd activists in icy Antarctic waters."
http://www.news.com.au/national/japanese-whaling-hunt-may-end-early/story-e6frfkvr-1226007184366
This is good news to wake up to this morning - The more whales saved from this disgraceful practice the better. Let's hope reports of "a changing tide of domestic opinion" in Japan are true..
Very good news indeed!
Hope this continues that way and that more countries stop killing!

The current count is 14 dead, 50 injured. It is all over the news right now.
That's very sad. I am baffled that WB would cancel the Paris premier tonight though, do they know something they aren't telling us?
Also, who the hell brings their 3 month old to see a movie like this!?
.....and another one who wakes up and hates the world he's living in. I hope that the families & friends of the victims will find the strength to fight the pain & the peace they need now.

I agree, if only he had used the first bullet from the gun he was firing on himself, this would have just been a suicide as opposed to the tragedy it is...

craziest thing that happened in 2012,
absolutely horrible

One of the women who was killed, Jessica Ghawi, was almost in the middle of a shooting last month in a mall food court. To paraphrase, she said she got a funny feeling and left minutes before the shooting began.

Very close to where I live there was a shooting in a bar recently in the college town, Tuscaloosa.

These shootings are happening too frequently!

"National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, which is observed annually on December 7, is to remember and honor all those who died in the attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. On August 23, 1994, United States Congress, by Pub.L. 103-308, designated December 7 of each year as National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day. National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day is also referred to as Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day or Pearl Harbor Day. It is a tradition to fly the Flag of the United States at half-staff until sunset in honor of dead patriots."
