I have the US version of the 10 pro, but I recently installed the NE2213 rom with the latest security update - c.26. My bootloader is unlocked and I am rooted. What is the best way for me to get back to the NE2215 rom? I can't find a full zip of the NE2215 c.26, and I wasn't able to install the NE2215 c.22 using oxygen updater. I do have twrp and I have the NE2215 c.22 rom saved, so is it an option to flash that rom in twrp? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
You sort of screwed yourself by jumping regions for now, you'll have to wait for a full ROM of NE2215 to be released if you don't want to lose Data. If you're fine wiping, you can use the rollback package to NE2215 A12, then update all the way back to C26 2215, and then root there.
Using the OTA method worked for me, for the record, for updating from C22 to C26 with NE2215. Unroot, take OTA downloaded from Oxygen Updater in LocalUpdate.apk, root to other boot slot, reboot. The only time this gave me issues is a major Android version switch. (The A12 to A13.) Texts were buggy at first but placing a few calls fixed all that.

Thank you! I wasn't worried about wiping, so I did the rollback and it worked perfectly.

So dload method is horrible and only works a handful of times, always failing, and Honor debranding for Oreo beta is a mess, and also has a lot of bugs and problems during installation. Is there any easy way to install Oreo, through TWRP for example, having a normal pralx1 B197 C432 single sim? Also, assuming a method works, how could I downgrade to Nougat in case Oreo fails for some reason?
thanks in advance!

Didn't you get an official update already? I got my Oreo update three weeks ago.

I don't know if I have OTA available, even if I have stock rom, because my updater is broken, since i have TWRP and it goes into that instead of eRecovery to install the update.

Hi,
What is the current working method to update firmware on an unlocked rooted CLT-L09?
I would like to keep root and unlocked.
It's currently on 9.1.0.328. I see there are 9.1.0.388 and 10.0.0.157 available. Are there any negative consequences of updating to 10?
Apologies if this has been answered before but there are too many methods posted over various time for various versions it is hard to decipher which is the latest working version for my situation.
Thank you!
K
Download from FF and extract the original recovery from 9.1.0.328 and flash it. Now you're back on stock/unlocked. check the OTA updates. and after the update apply magisk again and you will be rooted on the last version. The procedure is the same to continue updating. Android 10 isn't ready for P20 pro, neither is root.

I've got the 328 update_full_base.zip but how do I extract the original recovery? The only img file inside is ptable.img
Sorry if this is a dumb question haven't flashed the phone in a while.
there is an app called huawei extractor. i'ts here on XDA. Disable checksum verify if gives an error while trying to extract.
Long ago, I unlocked my bootloader using EDL mode (offline mode) to preserve warranty. Even after unlocking the bootloader, I still received FOTA updates, but the updates just didn't get installed properly and showed an error.
I recently re-locked my bootloader using the same EDL offline method and it was locked successfully, but suddenly I'm not able to receive FOTA updates. It says I'm at the latest version, while I'm on Android 9 1910.64 (latest is A10 2004.60 at this time)
Edit: The ROM variant is WW. I never changed it to CN. Phone was shipped with WW and has remained that way ever since (Indian version btw)
Does this mean ASUS has identified the changed state of my bootloader? Or do I have to make some changes in my phone? I've tried factory resetting, flashing RAW 1910.64 twice, and still no luck. (But I'm not sure if the ROM is flashed on both slots)
I need this warranty because I'm about to send the phone for repair. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Well this only a guess but... Is it a Tencent version that was running CN rom, which then was converted to WW? My guess is that, if it is currently on WW still, you won't get OTA's until its back to its original state ie on a CN rom...
Perhaps!

Oh I totally forgot to include it sorry. This is a proper WW phone, shipped with WW ROM (Indian version). No links with CN version.
Do correct me if I am wrong, but at least in the USA, the carrier has to push out OTA updates to your phone. So if you have a less well known android, such as the ROG 2, you won't get *any* updates as it is inconvenient for the carrier to make them available. Only google's phones get updates direct, and are still subject to carriers delaying release for...reasons.
hi buddy. we are on the same page. after .64, for some reason i also didnt get the android 10 ota. the solution i see is that you download the full firmware from asus website and update manually. once on a10, youll recieve otas.
weird thing thou, i recently tried unlocking via official app, but im getting errors.
Hello,
as the titel mentiones, does the phone get OTA updates, stock Rom on it, if the bootloader is unlocked?
It does yes
Thank you
I will receive my Mi 11 (Cloud White) 8/256 next week, come from a OnePlus 8T (DL Unlocked & Magisk)
On OnePlus when an OTA was installed, for keep Magisk, after OTA installed and BEFORE restart phone, we reinstall Magisk with the Install > install in inactive slot/space (special after OTA) because Oneplus 8T use A/B partitions.
My question is simple, it's the same thing on the Mi 11 ? Useful for update officialy without lose Root or without need to reflash the patch boot/magisk
Can someone suggest me how to update and keep ROOT? There's no Full OTA for NE2211 A17/A18 still. I'm currently on A.15(rooted) which is quite old.
Glad if someone share Full OTA links for NE2211 variant.

I can't take risk of ending up in bootloop. I have already visited service center once for flashing.
I do not think there are full OTAs anymore for many regions besides NE2213. It's fine though, you can update with the OTA incremental as long as you unroot via Magisk image restore first, reboot, then take the update.
You can then download the NE2213 variant of your firmware version, rip the boot.img out of it with FBE, patch it with your own Magisk installation, reboot to bootloader, BOOT that patched boot image you just made, and from there do a Direct install ON the device.
NEVER Flash from ADB with this device. 9 times out of 10 you'll regret it.

The latest OTA A18 for NE2211 has Jio 5G support. Switching region, I might lose me those updates.
You do not switch region, lmao. At no point did I say to flash a different region.
You update your local NE2211, then take the same version of that like A.17 or whatever, the full ROM from NE2213 and you only need to extract the boot image from it.
You never flash these files. Lol.
There's no A17/A18 for NE2213 i guess so no chance.
Looking into it a bit, yeah, it seems the A.18 is India exclusive so you're a bit SoL there, unfortunately. There is a way to extract the boot image from an incremental but I'm not versed in the method.
If you don't mind Android 13 there is the current C.21 for India variant, it also says the Jio 5G support. You could use Oxygen Updater to grab the Full Upgrade Zip for that version, then root again like from stock.
