Hello community
I know there are hunderets of threads about the acore proces out there. but none of them seems to be related with my problem.
My acore proces uses a lot of my cpu and therefore my battery drains very fast.
(you can see what happens in the screenshot attached. every time the graph begins from zero i rebooted my phone)
My config:
I9070 - Stock 2.3.6, rooted, supercharged
Go Launcher & Go Locker
so what I hve done until now:
- cleared all my contacts (someone stated that contact sync could cause this)
- unsupercharged
- used another launcher & locker
- even reflashed stock rom
the acore proces is used from different apps like digi clock, go locker and go launcher.
maybe someone has another idea how I could get the cause of my problem...
until now I used battery mix and ASI to get the info.
Thank you in advance!
This is android main proces from framework. It doesnt make difference to battery and working in background. You can see it as android os in battery info.
Sent from my GT-I9070 using xda app-developers app
but its behaviour is not normal, is it?
you can see the android os proces as well in battery mix. and when I open ASI I can see which proces is "hiding" in the acore one. the battery consumption was not that high as I bought the phone. at first my battery lasted for at least two days, now its not even 10 hours. also the battery consumption in sleep mode is beyond normal - if I unplug my phone in the morning and dont wake it up the battery is drained by 25% after 3 hours...
i am searching a way how I can get more info about that drainage...

I just installed Battery mix app, and I will let you know of cpu usage on my phone for that.
P.S. For now I do not even have acore there...

Thank you for your support! Make sure you have "Hide system processes" unticked in Battery Mix.
I found something else that may could help me: "adb logcat"
There are strange things going on when my phone is in "sleep" mode...
This is what happens while my battery drains 1%: Pastebin
Somehow my softkeys are turned on and off the whole time the phone is in my pocket. I have a slight clue that NoLED is causing the drainage.
I now disabled the background light of my softkeys and uninstalled NoLED. (although I already had NoLED Disabled for a whole day and the problem persisted)
Will post results!

Lucky you. I tried JetMod, but had the same problem.
Until now it does not seem to solve the problem when i uninstall NoLED and deactivate Softkey-light. Just the Log entries disappear...

Some strange things happen... I used to have some 2-4 MB download on every reboot. Untill I change gmail account on phone. Now this...
I was successful.
Uninstalled Go Launcher, Go Locker and all themes that are related with them.
Installed SmartLauncher (Free without Widgets) and MagicLocker.
The acore proces is gone i just dont know exactly what the cause was.
Now I'm just waiting for JB...
Hello to all,
I have two problems that are almost making me go back to stock 4.3 ROM
The first is related to the battery, the android system appears first with 25% + battery drain, and in most cases equal to or greater than the battery consumption of the screen! This makes my battery does not pass a day, and the stock I went much further (without STAMINA MODE).
The second issue is regarding the performance measured by AnTuTu. I know that does not mean much, but in the STOCK I get 25.5k and I read out there that people also manages the same in CM11 LBL (the MrSteve555 and also bagyusz), I do not understand why I can here the maximum 22.5K .
Independent of ROM I have put the same results. Tested in all versions of MrSteve555 and in the last two of bagyusz. Also tested in the PAC-man RC-1 neXus PRIME, same result and battery consumption.
In all ROMs I wipe system, data, cache, dalvik cache.
Does anyone have any idea how to solve this? I am discouraged because I love the CM11.
Ps: I use .207 kernel and I've tried with .205 also, same result. (I have LBL)
Damn what is that screenshot supposed to show?? 30 minutes off charge and it is at 99%!!! It's obvious that the screen consumption will be minimum, it was on for a minute or so probably... I know that usually android system drain is higher in cm than stock but you should compare your battery stats at the end of the day...
Please reset the counter by tapping on the trash icon on the activity bar. Then please post a screenshot after hours of usage. This will enable other people to properly interpret your battery stats.
Some tips though, you will most likely encounter a slight battery drain while using custom ROMs. This is due to the fact that stock ROM and custom ROM works differently. You might actually having a normal drain than a supposedly "bad" one.
By the end of the day will be the same... Anyway I will post later.
I attached new images for better understanding.
Does anyone have any idea?
Firstly, Antutu scores mean sh*t...
In the past I've had allot of ROMs with very bad Antutu scores which performed much better in terms of speed and general user experience than a standard ROM with higher Antutu score.
Furthermore, install better battery stats or any other wakelock detector app to see what is draining your battery. The pictures you are showing us now don't help at all.
I've exactly the same problem, android consumes always more than 25% battery too...

As I mentioned above, you need to identify what is causing the wakelocks first. Untill then there's absolutely no solution that can be presented to both of you.
By pointed by Gamm86, it might be due to wakelocks. Once the wakelocks are found, you may use Greenify to hibernate that rogue app. When the app is selected within Greenify, you will find it easier to see the wakeup path and cut it off through Greenify.

It's not always apps themselves that cause wakelocks.
Background services related to phone or app settings are usually the culprits, meaning greenify won't resolve all wakelocks.

yes I understand. Hmm i believe you are more experienced in this matter. Would you tell me how to stop those wakelocks that caused from other services? I would really appreciate that, cause I find many people solve this problem but they never did expose where they learn from or the methods they use. and yea, I've googled but I got nothing

Use Disable service app. Check which wakelock is occurring and disable that service.
Or get the donate version of unbounce and delay the wakelocks like every hour or so.
I already use Greenify and hibernate all apps that are not chat, not solved.
I also noticed that while I sleep and the phone remains idle the android system does not consume a lot of battery, something around 6%, but when you turn on the screen and the phone is active it starts to drain. So the problem is not in the wakelock, but elsewhere.
I'm using the applications suggested to post new screenshots later.
I used the apps for a day and I'm posting the screenshots of the result ... the system keeps draining and I don't see any information that would help me on the images.
Anyone have any ideas?

I'm on MrSteve555's CM for LBL and was also wondering why I was getting a much lower AnTuTu score than stock. Then I discovered that I get 22.5K scores WHEN CHARGING and 25.5K scores running off the battery!

I have noticed the same issues on all 4.4.x based roms (slimkat, pac, PA etc.). The only fix i found was to disable the automatic screen brightness. After disabling it the system_server service became normal and Android System dropped to 9-8% of overall battery consumption.
Good luck

My phone never enters deep sleep when i lock it with WiFi on, this happens on cm11 by steve it drains a lot overnight
4.00 - 4.30 hours on screen = 2 days with playing fifa 15 and facebook + viber. 1-2 photos, 60 mins browsing and about 30 mins talk good for me without using battery safe apps - lock my bl and using .207's kernel on mr.steve555's Weeklies CM11 lbl
try CM11 Mahdi Rom 4.4.4 with gapps minimal 23mb ,my battery work as well after play music, game and facebook
I installed LN 14.1 on a Nook HD+ recently, and ever since then, the battery drain has been absolutely ridiculous. It goes from fully charged to dead in 20-30 hours at idle, with 95% of the battery usage coming from LineageOS System or Android System. In troubleshooting, I've removed a bunch of apps I had installed, particularly those known to drain batteries, used Greenify on a bunch more apps, and tried some other tricks like clearing the Google Services cache and disabling location services, but it's barely helped. I eventually tried a wakelock detector, and discovered that the CPU is in high power mode 65% of the time while idle.
The battery was perfectly fine on the Nook OS. What can I do to fix this?
Turning off WiFi while the Nook is not in use helps reducing battery drain.
Thanks for the tip. I actually finally traced the problem to the wifi yesterday. It seems the wifi driver prevents the CPU from going into deep sleep mode, resulting in 10x normal battery drain. I don't suppose there's any other way to fix it?

The only way I've found to fix it is as noted above. Open the Settings app, go to the Wi-Fi options, tap on the gear icon at the top and change "Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep" to "never". Battery drain gone!

Your Battery drain must be a lot less than mine. If it is on, I lose about 1% battery every minute until it dies or I turn it off. New Battery, recalibrated, tried different Lineage OS versions, same thing.

It sounds like an app hogging the CPU maybe? Any information from task managers or a battery monitor?

Nope, all wake locks, battery drain programs sit in the 1-2% area, fully acceptable. I replaced the battery, nothing changed. Not sure what to try next. Thank you very much for your suggestions though.
Hi. Can someone help me with my problem?
Im facing massive battery drain even after wipe, im only getting around 3/4h SOT. In BBS, 2 alarms are weird Job.delay. And job.deadline. I have wiped my phone, installed last version of rom, after that i have restored my apps. Problem still exist. Next i have installed kirasakura kernel and then frozen every of my apps, and its still there. After night im losing around 10/20% of battery. Im attaching some screens from bbs. Thanks in advance for every help.
i'll try to help as much as i can. install servicely and look at running services. if you see something weird, stop that service.
also, i see you're using bluetooth. that thing drained my battery as bluetooth would stay turned on even when it says it's off. what you can do is turn it on and off and it should stop bluetooth service from running.
in servicely you can disable apps from running in the background. maybe some app is running full throttle even tho you thought you closed it.
another thing you can check is if xmode is running. once i had system turning on xmode on even tho i closed the app that used it.
as you're rooted, check with some kernel manager what cpu governor is turned on. maybe the system is stuck in performance mode.
lastly, you can check your battery capacity. maybe it needs calibration. that could also result in battery drain as it's not charged to the max.
also, android 10 is generaly badly optimised for our phone. it has some good features, but powerwise it's not that efficient.
if nothing works out, i'd suggest returning to latest android 9 and do battery calibration.
Thanks for answer. I have installed servicely but im not see anything suspicious. Xmode is off, governor ist in performance mode. About battery calibration, i dont need extra juice from my battery, i want to lose 1% over night, not 20%.. Probably around July/august everything was fine, my battery last for almost 3 days, now something eating it alive and i dont know what is it. Can i somehow check which app generate this "job" alarms? In BBS its "Android" only..
battery calibration isn't about extra juice, it's about system showing the right percentage. you could lose a lot of battery because it doesn't get charged to its max capacity.
there could also be a problem with the lastest update. when i was seeing a lot of battery drain, i had it because system constantly used location services. check in services if there are any location processes running. also it could be because of network. maybe your phone is constantly switching between 3g and 4g.
you can also check in the kernel manager what is your current battery draw in mAh. if its always over 300mAh, then you have a problem.
look for a wakelocks running in the background and disable and enable some to get them resetted.
Probably u have solved my problem. Even after turning off location, i still have some running services with location in name. I have blocked all of them in servicely and after night i lost 1% of battery. I will check now in later days. Thanks a lot

A reload generally solves nothing and wastes time. It's always best to find the root cause(s) and address them directly otherwise they tend to reoccur.
Viruses (never had to), boot loops (prey it works) and old loads are the only times I reload.

yeah i thought it could be that. it's also worth checking if you have "find my phone" turned on. it's somewhere in the settings. search for device admin apps. if you see any apps turned on as device administrators, turn that off. those could also drain battery
Yep, i have turned off "find my phone" now. Thanks once again. Now i have nearly 8h SoT again. I hope it will be all good now
i'd still do battery calibration if i were you. 8 hours of sot is not that much. i mean, it is if you're playing games all the time
After couple of days, problem is back. No new apps, 3 days was good, 0/1% drain in night, now its again about 15/20%. I will just sell this phone becouse i dont have any more patience...6000mah and my OP3 with half of that value can ez get about 5h sot. Aktually im getting about 3/4h sot and 3h calls. When i have bought this phone i have had about 10 h SOT and 5 h of calls in 3 days of usage. Never again gonna buy phone from asus. Thanks guys for every help
i wouldn't condemn the whole brand because of one phone model.
also try going back to android 9 and check how's the battery drain without any apps installed. then start installing your apps and monitoring if the drain will increase.
i'm currently on android 10 and there is some major problem with battery regulation. raw capacity goes below zero when the percentage is below 10 percent. no wonder the whole system starts stuttering when battery level is below 3%.
Good evening
it's been a few days since I noticed on my redmi note 10 pro that my battery is discharging a little quickly
when i look in the battery statitic it says system android 20%
then I have screen at 9% and device in standby 6%
seems like a lot to me for android system
especially this unloading occurred all at once because I did not change anything in my abtitude
in general I hold 3 4 days and I hold 1 day a day and a half
my system is up to date i am on miui 13.0.16
and all my apps are up to date
thank you in advance mathieu89

I Know this command, i tryed moretimes, doesnt help bro, i think its a miui issue. I installed gsm monitor, its says wakelocks of: NetworkStats, accSyncLoop, telephony-radio etc ... This phone has bad optimization because xiaomi install one Software on all phones...im never buy a xiaomi again, after 1 year of use i have so many bugs ( sometimes itself restarts, bad wlan signal, 120hz drops to 60hz, bad battery for 5k mha, i can tell you a lot of more but time is important
I have exactly the same problem on both my phones, RN9Pro and RN10 Pro - both on MIUI 14 EEA.
It has occurred since a recent update - but I do not closely monitor so cannot point the finger at exactly which one.
Also, the battery usage graph shows the guilty "android system" seems to have a couple of busy periods each day (ie not a constant steady drain) one of which is in the early morning hours when the phone should be asleep (just like me!) and not busy for a couple of hours.
What the heck is it doing?

FWWI, I once had a similar problem on a RN8...
After a while, by running the 'top' utility in a root terminal, I found out a borked startup script was invoking a non-existent utility -- not only was this causing so much log spam it was impossible to figure anything from it, it made the systemUI consume unbelievable amounts of battery and heat up the device.
After disabling the rogue script, the problem immediately went away.

It's simple, really.
Have a terminal running with root privileges so you can see all system processes -- either by running it elevated in the first place or by issuing 'su -';
Then (install and) run the top console utility -- as I use Termux, it's available from the main repos -- and look at the top processes by resource usage, they will be the suspects that you need to be checking to see if everything is in order with;
BTW, better have the device in landscape mode so you can easily see all columns...
