No Samsung account is associated with the phone, are there any programs or boot-loader that will allow me to unlock the pattern?

It sounds like he just wants TWRP to be able to access his encrypted data, not to actually wipe and decrypt.
jcadduono said:
If your device isn't decrypting in TWRP, chances are you still have the old crypto key format from the 3.5.1 release firmware.
You can solve this by updating to 3.5.3 and changing your boot up password in your device OS's settings.
By changing your password after updating to 3.5.3 or newer, your OS will rewrite your crypto key to be compatible with TWRP.
You are free to disable your password after this if you don't want one, and TWRP will decrypt with the default password.

@zphou Did you do that stuff, like the TWRP thread tells you to?
Sounds like you need to factory reset. Thats how you remove encryption. Ive done it before on my other phone. Perhaps make a quick manual backup of the folders on your phone or use the splendid Huawei Backup app on the play store and throw that on your PC before resetting. You can restore apps to the exact state as before your reset. Encryption should be removed afterwards.

Yes. I followed the instructions and now with latest public beta, which is 7.0. I still can not access to data partition in recovery. Luckly, I could flash 3rd party rom with sideload, the only issue is not able to boot into system. So I have to flash the public 7.0 beta.
TWRP is asking for password. I've never set a password. Please help me.
Try password as " password" , it may work !

Tell. Me exactly what u did..
Try : default_password if this doesn't work.. Then m sorry my friend u have to format full data..
Its asking for the encryption password. The default password is "default_password" (without the quotes) try that. And if doesn't work then enter Bootloader (fastboot mode) and enter the following commands into CMD.
Code:
fastboot format userdata
Code:
fastboot format cache
Code:
fastboot reboot
This will unencrypt your phone and you'll be able to boot/enter TWRP normally.
Please do note that you'll lose ALL of your data from the commands.
Also, I'm not sure about this but you also might need to flash TWRP again.

If you have set a pin as security try putting that in.
If you haven't then you can do above mentioned methods.
Finally Solved the problem! Thanks guys! I flashed my previous rom and everything worked. The problem seems to be in the twrp itself.

How is this possible?
Firstly, if u cannot enter into TWRP, then how did you flash the ROM?
Secondly, even if you somehow flashed the ROM how does it do away the password error ?? Did it replace the recovery? Recovery image is not usually included in custom ROMs.

I was running out of options. i thought why don't i flash the last rom that was running on this device. i can't explain how or why. I flashed the twrp again and than the rom. i can't explain but it installed the rom. It worked.
So you froobs can't read the dm-verity warning on TWRP page and just flash the one damn zip that prevents from this.
And the problem is in Kernel and firmware
I had trust in XDA-members. But the faith is gone.

Wait, were you able to get past the twrp password thing without formatting just by flashing the rom? Why did you have to flash twrp again before the rom? Did you do a clean flash or dirty flash? Your internal drive was not wiped?
My problem is basically that I was unable to get into my phone so I deleted the 5 gatekeeper/lockscreen keys from data/system. Now I can only see the wallpaper and a blank screen that doesn't allow me to do anything. It doesn't let me allow me to set a new pin. TWRP is asking me for a password that I never set. I've been trying to figure out how to access my data without formatting, but I'm running out of options too..

Maybe he used SuperSu to root? I dont' see a dm-verity zip for that. You have to use the bluspark TWRP posted above this reply and set your password in the ROM through another app or through the system settings in that case. I had the same problem. Also, I could have used "default_password" but I didn't know that until after I did all the fastboot flashing...
Or do you know of another zip SuperSu users can flash?
The password which its asking for is the one which is our lockscreen password
OxygenOS encryptes our devices with the password we enter on lockscreen so to decrypt just enter the same password

Hi All, I have a N950F/DS currently running Stock N950FXXU3CRE5 FW and every time I install twrp and do the "Data mount fix" my phone refuses to boot unless I root it with Magisk or SuperSU. I dont want root but I do want twrp, can someone help with this problem thanks in advance.
What are you trying to achieve with Data mount fix?
try RMM-State_Bypass_Mesa_v2 so oem unlock would not turn off after reboot here

For some reason this didn't work for me. I kept losing OEM unlock anyway. I ended up having to not reboot my phone for a week.
I found a solution. I downloaded two boot imgs without the "dm verity" and my phone booted with twrp. Also it doesn't remove twrp after rebooting

I recently formatted my G6, downloaded Pie from the motorola assistant, flashed everything and installed TWRP 3.3.1-0.
TWRP boots up fine, im able to flash anything (like magisk) but it refuses to decrypt the phone. It shows a screen to input a password or a pattern (depending on what i've configured) but no matter what I tried it just fails to decrypt with the "Decrypt took too long, killing process". So far I've tried
* Pattern
* Password
* Swipe
* All the previous combinations with "boot time pattern/password requirement" enabled/disabled.
I'd like to keep the phone encrypted and still use TWRP, so my question is, has someone managed to use TWRP with the G6? If its not possible, I'd like to disable it, although i've found no tutorials about it.
Thanks!
I fixed it by using the 64 bits version of twrp i think. You can try it i guess?

I don't think what you're trying to do is possible.
Don't you need to wipe all the data anyway for the new rom?
Personally, I'd hit cancel, and wipe data entirely, which will obviously erase everything from any apps.

[TWRP] MI 11 (Pro/Ultra) (mars/star)
WARNING : I do not know who made this TWRP and I am NOT taking credit for it. It was posted on eu site and I'm just sharing since there was no thread for twrp here on xda.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Before starting the process, the bootloader must be unlocked.
2. Install Xiaomi USB drivers.
3. Enable Usb debugging from Settings - Additional settings - developer options.
4. Download TWRP for Mi 11 (Pro/Ultra) , and put it in your fastboot folder.
5. Put your phone into fastboot mode.
6. Rename downloaded file to "twrp.img".
7. Do the following command. It will automatically boot into TWRP.
Code:
fastboot boot twrp.img
8. If you get a screen asking for a pin, press 2nd option
and change language to English then enter phone pin.
9. Change language to English (press the 6th option).
10. Go to "Advanced" and select "Onekey inject TWRP".
11. Swipe to inject the TWRP. It might take a few minutes, so don't worry.
Note
1) Don't change the boot slot, currently (Slot A) for most or your device will not boot at all.
2) For user experiencing decrypt issue, you can try one of the methods below to enable decryption:
a. Remove all your security eg. fingerprint, face unlock, pattern and leave ONLY pin. Reboot to twrp and try again.
b. Reflash twrp.
c. LAST RESORT! Format data and factory reset your device then reflash twrp.
3. For user experiencing decrypt issue but just want to flash latest build:
a. Boot to twrp > mount > mount usb storage then transfer your rom.zip to data/media/0
b. Now go to install and look for rom.zip under data/media/0. Profit!
4. The decrypt issue was a bug on the Chinese twrp, no update since may so don't ask for an ETA.
CHANGELOGS
07/18/21
1) Additional instruction from scratch.
2) Additional note for people having decrypt issue.

Hi,
after a long day of learning the hard way (got stuck in Fastboot Loop) I am now on stable EU 12.5.7 (MI11 Ultra, EU phone). So far so good, but I was wondering, how can I make TWRP stuck to the phone, meaning, when I push the power button to have an option like: Boot into TWRP. Is that possible or is there a "click this button with this... trick"?
ATM, I can only get TWRP to work, when I enable it via PC, which is not good.
I am asking, because I have an old Oneplus 6, which has this option. TWRP is installed and I can boot directly to it, if I want to.
Can you please help me out? Is there a trick or am I doing something wrong?
Greetings from Germany
Placebo
I believe you are on custom EU rom right? Just reboot into recovery, custom eu rom injects twrp as standard recovery
Hi, yes I am and I did that also. But still can't boot into TWRP from within the phone. Is there a trick after the injection?
