I have a 9t global version that updated recently to miui 11.0.3 but the Android version is still 9 pkq 1.19...
But in some threads they say that miui 11 it's Android 10, how can I update it?
First of all, you are in K20 Pro/Mi 9T Pro subforum. You should go to K20/Mi 9T subforum and ask your question there: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-9t
Second, miui version 11 does not automatically mean that it comes with android version 10. They are updated separately. For example, Redmi Note 5A has miui 11 + android 7.1 and there are other devices with miui 11 + android 8/9. For now, very few are with miui 11 + android 10.

thanks again
it's not exactly as you explained . first of all the unlocked bootloader is compulsory (otherwise it'll brick the device)
then after that i can flash any fastboot global international rom ( obviously a version that is newer than the one i currently have on the device )
Hey! I tried flashing Havoc OS, Pixel Extended and Crdroid through TWRP. Only Crdroid works, the other two Bootloops. Can someone explain what's happening? I've flashed custom roms on Samsung phones but I am new to Redmi. I would love some help. Thanks!

Do these roms have the same firmware?
Check?
Like the base firmware? Havoc and PE are based on AOSP. Crdroid is based on lineageos. But isn't Lineageos itself based on AOSP?

This works for Crdroid. The problem is the other two doesn't work with the same steps. That's what confuses me.

Thanks for your help man! I did not know that there was a firmware version requirement, most of them just list 'The latest stable firmware' as a requirement. Will try this out soon!

Also why is this an requirement. Does each new update add something? I am at 12.5.7 Indian version. How is it different from CN or EU version?

Development is only done with CN or GLOBAL roms
I don't quite follow. Wouldn't 12.5.7 IN rom have all the features present in the 12.5.1 CN rom?

This is the basis for an AOSP.
An AOSP rom on a Xiaomi is a portage, there are no MIUI functionalities, moreover often your phone after flashing an AOSP is recognized as a Pixel.
The firmware serves as a bridge between the Xiaomi and the rom, for porting, that's all.
Firmware is not a rom it is included in the Miui roms

Hi, I want to port oxygen OS 12 from Oneplus 8T for my Redmi note 10 pro. I've been using the already ported oxygen os 11 in my Redmi note 10 pro. I've been looking for oxygen os 12 port since Mi released MIUI 13. After I searched, I realized that only Oxygen os 11 is available currently. So, I was looking at how to port rom guides. But that doesn't help me as the oxygen os rom I downloaded doesn't have an updater-script file. I extracted the payload.bin file which contains boot.img file. I've even patched that file. But due to the updater-script file missing, I can't port the Rom. Can you kindly help me to port the oxygen os 12?
I am also a noob in porting. So, kindly help me.
I've searched for many guides but all are a bit outdated(maybe).
The oos 12 rom which I used was downloaded from here:
Oneplus 8T OOS12
That Oxygen OS 11 is official or not, have you faced any issues. Is it okay to use on redmi note 10 pro?
