Do you have any reason to think any USB-C reader wouldn't work?
They are a dime a dozen on Amazon.

The seller refund me the money.
This is the one I use in my car to read my dash cam microSD on my Pixel 5:

Honestly any one of them should work, I wonder why the one you got didn't.
And anyone with usbc to jack for earphones ? I have one adaptator but it says it doesn't support it so the sound doesn't pass through the earphones..

Hello,
what kind of HDMI does the LGOS have now?
I keep reading both of the versions. Sometimes I hear micro, sometimes mini. What's the deal? I need to buy a cable, and I don't really want to buy the wrong one.
Micro HDMI type D
Thanks a lot. I've never found a video or image that shows the socket itself, I would've been able to compare it to the Wikipedia picture

Checking the user comments on Amazon, only one port works at a time also the USB port cannot be used for charging. There are also issues if you have your tablet in a case. I could not find any comment about the upper limit for a memory card if there is one.
Upper limit would depend on device I'm guessing... I I'm using a 32gb class 10

The upper limit depends on the reader. There are plenty of "upto 16GB" SD card readers being sold. I would not buy any reader that I could not identify its upper limit.
It's also a mechanical nightmare. Any microUSB adapter like this is going to have to be built to grip the edge of the device, before I'll be interested. Otherwise, one accidental bump and bam, there goes your microUSB port!
It actually sits perfectly flush with the device... very sturdy... It does cover up the headphone jack though

That's a turn OFF for me... Imagine if you want to watch a movie from your SD card using the headphones while sitting on an air plane or anywhere. Now.. if only there were female microusb to female microusb extension cables. :fingers-crossed:

I wonder if the description and picture are correct. The picture looks more like a micro female connector to me, but the description does say mini....
You're right - zooming in on the female end, it does look like micro.
I guess it's a crapshoot whether the picture is correct, or the description is correct. Can't be both though!

Here is an ebay source to consider: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Micro-USB-B-Male-Female-M-F-Extension-Charging-Cable-/270928425953
Found a great angled OTG cable for my Nexus 10 that doesn't block the audio port. http://www.amazon.com/Electronics-Micro-Cable-Nexus-doesnt/dp/B00CHSRKGK/
Exact same as this cable, but angled the other way.
Great company, lifetime warranty, and their original OTG cable has TONS of great ratings on Amazon (I have several and they've never failed, I just lose them. lol). The nexus 10 flavor is the exact same, just goes the other way.
This is the only angled OTG cable I've found that doesn't block the audio port.
Hope this helps!

Can you confirm that this does not block the audio port?
I'm sure that's why you posted it but just want to be sure.
Thanks.
Is it possible to connect an external SD-card reader using this cable? Well, I know it is possible, the question is : will it work? Will the nexus 10 mount the SD card?
Which other uses has this adaptor? A keyboard?

Based on the description and pictures, you get two adapters. One blocks the audio port (save it for another device) and the other doesn't. Looks like an excellent deal for $2.80.
As for me, I prefer the kind with a cable as it would seem to put less stress on the port.

Yes, SD will work, but if you are not rooted, you will need Nexus Media Importer (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.homeysoft.nexususb.importer). If root, you'll want StickMount (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.stickmount) instead, as this gives you an actual mounted SD volume.
Depending on ROM, you can connect keyboard, mice, etc. With PA, I can even use a Logitech Universal Receiver and pair up with my various Logitech wireless devices. That said, I prefer to use my Bluetooth keyboard as I avoid abusing the ports when possible.

Does this work with the poetic slimline case? How much clearance is there between the body of the adapter and the tablet itself?

Sorry for the late response. I don't own this product, i just know someone who bought it. Btw, for it's price, I'd say it's worth a try.
Hello,
i don't get usb sticks to work on my VIE-AL10. I also have seen members with working OTG, but only on VIE-L09. Can somebody confirm a working OTG on VIE-AL10 devices? And if yes, what Adapters are you using? Did it work instantly without customizing anything?
Thanks
Nobody tried this yet?
can't get otg for use a dac. tried 3 usbc-micro adaptaters and no one works. i don't want to buy a new usbc dac :/
I could not get any Type C - Micro USB connectors to work using my old TOG cable. I had to buy a new Type C OTG adaptor cable. It was the only way I found to get it working.
Can you show us what cable did you buy? Thank you

I'm not quite sure what you mean, but OTG cables are really simple devices. A cheap one should work fine.
You could also get a flash drive that has a USB-C and USB-A port. They seem to transfer a little faster.
https://www.sandisk.com/home/mobile-device-storage/ultra-usb-type-c
Remember all one plus devices are limited to USB2.0 speeds. I think it's due to a dash charge compatibility issue.

I also have been using the 128GB Sandisk. Got it from Amazon and use it for TWRP backups. It does take some time for the transfer but it works fine. Recommended.
I bought the official OnePlus OTG adapter and it works perfectly with everything I've used.
