So, I rooted my hand-me-down Samsung A71, and enjoyed learning about the process and experiencing it. Now, here's the problem. I soon found out that it is just not worth it to root this obscure (*Ahem*) phone, and uninstalled Magisk through the Magisk manager. I checked that the phone had indeed unrooted, and then tried to lock the bootloader. I forgot to flash the stock firmware. And now I have a phone boot looping into recovery mode, and just not allowing me to access the OS. When I try to flash stock firmware through Odin, it freezes. ****.
I screwed up. Help. This thing is very dear to me.
I checked for ways to force-flash, and found EDL and QPST. But this method requires the damn firehose/.mbn firmware file for my A175F A71, which I just can't seem to find.
Should I contact Samsung to generously provide me the firmware, or what? Any suggestions highly appreciated.
P.S: Will soon attach a video of it.

I can't, and that is precisely the problem. When starting the device, it straight away takes it to recovery mode, and tries to lock the bootloader continously, but just can't because of the firmware. It doesn't let me do anything.

I managed to unbrick my A71! The above attachment is of it. I was such an idiot. Even in such a circumstance, you can go into download mode, and unlock the bootloader. I did so, set up my A71, and enabled Usb Debug and straight away flashed stock firmware, and THEN locked the bootloader. Damn was I scared. Thanks for your help, Ahmed.

I'm about to save you a lot of time Rogers (Canada) Captivate users.
I spent the last 6 hours using http://serendipityrom.weebly.com/download.html these directions to flash a rom.
Here is what they don't tell you.
This is for the AMERICAN version (AT&T) Captivate only. Yes. You will be able to install the rom on your phone... but the SIM card supplied to you by rogers will not work with this rom.
Also, after following the "excellent" tutorials online and via youtube, you will end up with a phone flashed back to "stock" (At&T) stock... with all their bloatware. AND your startup graphic will now be "AT&T world phone"
Who would have known how good we had it as Rogers customers?
Bottom line. Stay away from Serendipity, and possibly all roms. Launcher pro is better than 90% of them anyway it seems. And you can turn that off in .6 seconds.

I'm currently using Serendipty 5.2 on my Rogers Captivate with no issues what so ever. You're most certainly doing something wrong.
Nice to know. The latest version is 5.7, which I installed. I will not add a clever image showing your folly by responding to my post out of common courtesy.

How about explaining what I did wrong instead of a face palm? I know that's asking alot.
Are you saying the tut online doesn't flash to an ATnT stock? Are you saying I'm stupid? Are you saying your rom works no matter what? Tell me. Educate. Communicate.
At the very least refute my claims.
Do your self a favor and delete your comments. It is still early, not too many have read it yet. You need to read much more and gain a better understanding before you post something like this
It would appear that the statement made by the OP is false, in that the ROM works on various versions of the device.
If you need assistance, make a new thread in Captivate Q&A, without a title directing the issue at one particular ROM (how about something like the new title of this thread?)
Explain what you have tried, what isn't working (exactly), and someone might be so good as to tell you what you did wrong.

Have read much about it last year and that this app acts like a malware mining your data (e.g., IMEI) and sending those data to free servers in China during the root process. Not up to date on this info as I don't use such app. Kingo Android Root Method thread just re-opened this year, so maybe program was cleared by XDA?
Will report this thread. My guide already does a great and simple job guiding both new and old users on how to root. Although I may have posted a 'final' update, I am still lurking around.

trying to get an unlock bootloader code for my mate S .... keep gettiing "The Huawei ID used to apply for the unlock code has not been used on the device for more than 14 days."
do i really have to wait 2 weeks before i can root my phone?
hey,
i did not have to wait at all.
i followed a guide posted in a german forum where they point out going here first:
http://emui.huawei.com/en/plugin.php?id=hwdownload&mod=list
on the top right you can see "download", click that.
you should see an "unlock bootloader" link. check the pic below to see what i mean:

}
on the following page check the "remember ID" box and click the facebook button leaving everything else empty (you need a facebook account to log on at the following site of course). see the pic!
you should then see an "unlocking agreement". accept it and then enter the data as required in this pic.
upon entering my data there i instantly had the bootloader unlock code on my screen.
try it out, hope it works for you!
greetz,
vercetti.
thanks for the reply, but i still get the same message....."The Huawei ID used to apply for the unlock code has not been used on the device for more than 14 days.".....guess ill have to wait a couple of weeks....
unlocking bootloader
I am as well unable to get the unlocked code, kept saying the same message. Do you really have to wait 14 days? Did you get any luck, I see the other post about DC-Unlocker, don't know how to go about it. I had my phone for quite awhile just haven't happen to unlock it yet, however it is already SIM unlocked, just not the bootloader.
***update
So i went ahead and used DC-unlocker; paid the $4.59 for it and was able to get the code and unlocked the bootloader and was able to install a custom recovery, I couldn't wait/stand for Huawei website, it was frustrating me, so buggy and unresponsive.
After all that just search google, "root mate s TWRP recovery", a lot of helpful content out there, that'll explain how.
By the way, I have the model CRR-L00, it was already network unlocked when i bought it and came with google play already installed.
TWRP recovery i used - twrp-2.8.7.0-carrera.img (searched it on google)
root i used- BETA-SuperSU-v2.68-20160228150503
A complete guide would be here, very straightforward: http://www.android.gs/root-install-twrp-recovery-huawei-mate-s/ It states that it was done on a crr-l09, I've tested on mines it works as well.

This post said the Their method is applicable to all of the Samsung machine locks BL.
They are already do this,and will not share the way..
It is said that ,the G935A,G935T,G935P,G935V cross bootloader flash Chinese Version ,and support ALL band(gam,cdma,wcdma ,tdscdma,lte) ,all carrier,all
country..
And I get a S7 EDGE G935V, It unlock and flashed, following the picture
I think there are three possible ways to achieve this effect.
1.、use odin flash the eng kernel,and root. then use Z3X or other box to change the Bootloader Recognized identifier
2、Making a special data line, to achieve strong brush the other version of the firmware. (The other phone use this way..)
3、Modify other editions Samsung firmware identifier,To achieve the bypass bootloader to flash the other version.
【I think this is the highest probability】
There are many experts in the forum, I'm sure you'll find interesting
I hope someone can share the way when he successful

I am very pleased to see so many reply.
I see the reply ,and generally do some answer.
1、The phone is T-mobile,It seems that it flash the Version Version frist
2、After flash Chinese version, the bootloader is still locked
This is really strange, the S7 and S7 EDGE ,US version in the US no one cracks, but it cracked in China and they started to do Paid services..
In ShenZhen ,they flash a phone ,charge $ 20

Hi, I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S8+ in Jingdong (in Mainland China) and I'd like to install another ROM so I can use Google Services normally. I've seen the guides and I'm ready to follow them, but I'm not really sure of what ROM should I install to achieve my goal. Thank you so much for your kind help.
Hi and welcome to XDA, @Archimboldi. Normally, if you click the red "Development" quick filter at the top of the list of threads in this section, you would find what ROMs are available, however, there are none:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",

}
But if you instead click the yellow "How To Guide" quick filter, the only thread there that I think can possibly help you is the third one down - [How To Guide]Your Average GSI Guide:
GSIs are very basic officially supplied ROMs. I am unfamiliar with where you get one compatible with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8/+/Ultra, though. You should probably ask in that GSI thread if a general internet search doesn't help.
Good luck!

Thank you so much. Yes, I have thoroughly searched the internet (Chinese and Western) with no luck. I'll give a try. And thanks for the advice on the forum rules, I'll follow them from now on.
