Hello, this is my first post on xda so sorry for any mistakes.
I've had CherishOS 3.9.5 on sweet for a good while now and this problem started a month ago.
Device does not go into deep sleep at all, idle drain is so high that it doesn't even make sense.
For example today, when i went to sleep, i closed all apps and turned off the mobile network. There was a drain from 57% to 19% over 6 hours.

I rooted my phone and installed betterbatterystats for further investigation and found this
I found this today. Previously i scoured through forums for a similar issue and found that disabling double tap to wake should fix the issue. I did that and it did fix the battery, but only for 2 days and then it went back to the god awful drain. It's a real pain to have my phone charging all the time.
Any help is appreciated and I can post anything further if I missed anything here. Thank you
What Kernel u use? Had this issues too with different Kernel and Versions, but with AGHISNA-OSS-12-03-2023-signed seems all fine and working decent.
Give it a try, i wont touch my Kernel for a while, because never touch a running system.
Attached is the Aghisna OOS for LQ8000. If u have that other Chargingboard, u have to search on Sourceforge for it.

It seems you're having GMS battery drain.
Try this: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ry-drain-due-to-google-play-services.4406617/
Compass.

And kill the battery in the process. Another reason to avoid google.
calibrat your batterie try to using your phone until it turns off completely and wait 3 hours while it is turned off after that plug in without turn it on until you see 100% icon battery in the dark page and try to give it another 3 hours after that plug out and power on your phone and use it until 15% ..and voilà your batterie is fresh and calibrate and happy
Update to Cherish build 4.61 not newer nor older
this precise build specially the vanilla one with nikgapps core is very satisfieng combination with superb bb and barely noticable drain
try it and report back
ps: clean install is a must to have the best results
Good luck

Dear All,
here is my Note 2.3.6 stock rom with Franco #6 kernel Battery usage (in pic 1&2)
It shows that my note was awake mostly all the time although as you can see from the pic that the phone screen is off most of the time (almost did not use it that day)

1-is this because I was leaving the wifi on most the time?
Edit: I turned the wifi before sleep and after 6 hours I found the phone was awake all the 6 hours and sygic was off
this an old pic (couple of days before) and you can see my wifi was on all the time while the phone was not awake most of the time
2- Why my signal bar in pic is yellow and not green as usual?
and in pic 2 here is my apps, so which one caused this awake?
Final results after long day of asking, getting help from replies here, reading and trying, everything is fixed after doing restart

Don't keep your WiFi and GPS (Sygic) on all the time. Looks like that's what's stopping your Note from going to sleep.
Don't know if this is an actual fix, but what I discovered is that turning the screen off by pressing the 'Power' button on the side helps tremendously in preserving my battery life. If I just let the screen time out, my battery gets drained big time.
This may/may not work for you, but it's worth a shot...
(EDIT: This still holds true even when I keep my wi-fi on)
thank you to all who replied here, the main thread is updated , please read it

Well both old and recent screenshots show the same battery drain and quite similar usage, they lasted for a day and a couple hours.. I think it's a glitch in the system info.
Had a problem a week ago with heavy battery drain in a quite similar manner and I can guarantee that if the phone didn't entered sleep mode it wouldn't even last those 24hrs.

do you mean that the phone entered deep sleep but the results are not correct or not true?
I have also CPU Spy and it shows that my phone did not enter deep sleep during the last 30 hours (or more)
try uninstalling Sygic.

Hi
got big problem with battery life. But just when is on data usage. Not in plane mode and not on WiFi mode.
So last night set plane mode and go to sleep. Battery was on 42%. Woke up, turn off plane mod and turn on data usage. Battery was on 41% :good:
And did not touch phone screen in next 50 minutes. After 50 minutes turn on screen and battery was on 30%...then clean it with CleanMaster and HistoryEraser, reboot and battery was 20%?!?
So...in 1 hour with 2 minutes using 21% less
Once again...when is on WiFi there's no any kind of problem.
Did not said...just flash and ROOT stock BTU (british) unbranded ROM (from 24.10.2013. latest one) 5 days ago...and flash kernel for this ROM and flash recovery.
Found ROM and kernel on samsung-updates.com
I uninstalled many Samsung SW from phone and other SW i don't want to use.
Before BTU I had stock VIP (Croatia) and stock Taiwan ROM. And did not have problems with battery life.
Anybody can help?
Thank you
Check with Better Battery Stats app, and let me quess its RILJ that keeps your phone wake. No cure for that. Sometimes RILJ drains battery and sometimes dont, no matter what you do with your phone (somebody say its a Google location services blame for that, but I say its not, because I stopped it and still getting high RILJ wakelocks).

I'm sorry but when tried to install BBS it was so many malware there...so, when I will finished PC problems then will try BBS.
Thank you and I will post here when will instal BBS again.
EDIT:
Do I have to install BBS on computer? There is just .exe file...there's no .apk file i just can find .exe...and can't find .apk anywhere
I found BBS xda
And there's no any RILJ...when it's on Partial Wakelocks there's just BBS_WAKELOCK_WHILE_SAVING_REF and some other statistics but no RILJ
EDIT:
So..I found RILJ now but it's just started and it's 0,2%...will wait a while and then will post result

Hello guys
First for all, hello, firsts post here, but I'm reading this forum for a while ago...
Second, please don't turn this thread a 'SP Battery rlz VS SP Battery sucks' xD. Actually, I'm satisfied with battery life in SP
Now... To the thread. One of u have seen something like this?

First high battery drain is normal usage, actually, I was testing some apps, however, second high battery drain is standby mode!, yes! standby!... It was the time I was sleeping xD
When I go to Battery Usage I found this
that f**king Google Services and Google+ are draining my battery.... Since I brought this new phone (last one was Xperia T, it was stolen :crying I saw a lot of times that damn Google Services consuming a lot of battery, and at Xperia T always Screen was the number one at this.
Anyone knows why this happens? there's a solution other wise turn off all google stuff?
Regards
PS: as u can see my native language is spanish, so sry if my english is not good xD
oh yeah... I'm at .254 Stock ROM
Hey,
before you sleep, maybe turn on flight mode just to go sure. If your phone is rooted you could also use greenify, if not, don't use it
You need to use the app 'Wakelock Detector' to find what is keeping your phone awake.
The amount of time your phone is awake definitely isn't normal
Also try disabling stamina mode
Thanks for your answers guys

Actually, turning off Wifi solves the problem, but I'm curious about why Google Services drain so much battery, also, this is not happening all the time

About that, stamina have some issues with Outlook, sometimes Outlook drain a lot of battery in standby, but only happen when I'm on mobile data, and also not always, with Google Services happen both on mobile data and Wifi...
I'll use that app, so let me install and see what happen, also I'll try siabling stamina...
Regards
I'm not sure if I has to use the edit button, but well...
Running WLD all night found this
searching a little, I found that the 'GTALK_ASYNC etc etc' is known that may cause battery drain.... and apparently is related with VPN.... The first image of this post I was testing that app 'Firewall sin root' that creates a false VPN to conrtrol all data... but now, last night I was not using that app and still happened...
I'm waiting for 4.3. update now, so I'll see what happen after that xD
Thanks for the answers guys
Hello folks,
Yesterday i finally became tired of the ridiculous battery life my phone was geting in official 4.3 rooted. I tried another kernels, uninstalling facebook, facebook messenger (those are said to drain battery) and finally i saw something that was the cause: ~30% of battery usage was by Android System, aka samgung included apps. I installed some ROM without those samsung bloats and seems like the battery is normal again (like it was with 4.1.2). I'm still testing and would be awsome if someone else can get a lot more battery life without those samsung apps and be happy again, like me.
By the way, i installed THIS ONE, but i'm almost sure any 4.3 stock rom without those excluded apps will be fine.
BEFORE: Overnight i had ~4% of battery drain with EVERYTHING turned off, wifi, gps, everything!
NOW: Last night i had ~3% of battery drain with wifi and data ON!
Weird isn't? I think our phone had a very bad OTA this time. Share your experiences! Hope you all get a better battery with this
world wide web says 4.3 OTA across all models has a negative battery defect.
did you root directly from android 4.3?

Yes, before and after the ROM i mentioned (EVR, link in OP)
Reporting:
Right now, my battery level is 40%. Phone is on 1day and 5hours, moderate use. Here is my usage:
WIFI always on yesterday since 3:00pm, switched it off about 12:30 am.
About 12:40 am i switched mobile data on. Mobile data was on til 9:00 am, then i switched all toogles off.
Turned on WIFI AND mobile data about 4:00 pm and until now its all switched on except GPS.
When battery reached something like 5% i will update the post.
Reporting 2:
Now my battery level is 5%, here is my usage since last report. Something i didnt said earlier is that im usimg agni kernel 3.3, cause boeffla caused me random reboots. Using zzmoove as governor and everything else with default values:
WIFI on til midnight, hear some music before this on phone speaker
Switched all off on sleep, at this time (12:40 am) battery level was about 26%
Today turned WIFI on about 9:00 am listening music and browsing
Bellow are screenshots of battery stats today

Hello,
Something that I've been noticing...
Every time when Sony launches a new update my phone's battery is draining faster.
I'm not a hardcore user, I only use wi-fi or 3g, barely use 4g because my city doesn't have the greatest coverage, I don't need to use GPS and all other functionalities... Sometimes I use Whatsapp, Instagram and Snapchat and that is all.
Today for example I only used Whatsapp through their website, didn't use my phone that much and look at these stats:

}
In a couple of hours I lost almost 40% of battery
I'm used to my phone lasting 2-3 days before needing to charge and now every day I have to do it.
Can someone explain to me, or help fix this issue?
Thank you all
PS.: I didn't root my phone or did anything with it yet....
Not sure since I use cyanogenmod but those stats just tell that you have the screen on a lot. For advanced battery usage diagnostics you would need root but you could try Wakelock Detector: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.uzumapps.wakelockdetector&hl=de

But that is what I'm talking about, each update my screen and android seems to use more battery.
I did nothing different with him from when I first got the phone and updated it to Lollipop.
The first update was great, then the others started to make my phone use more battery...
Are all your apps up to date? The second to last Snapchat update caused wakelocks and the latest should fix that.
Asife from the wakelock detector (which is a great app) you could also try Gsam Batterymonitor.

Yes, I just updated Snapchat.
I'm gonna try using Gsam since Wakelock only works with rooted devices.

There is also an app called Deep Sleep Info and that tells you, over time, how much sleep your phone is getting. This app does not require root and does not consume any cpu or battery power.
Before 5.1.1 I was getting around 90% when the screen was off but since 5.1.1 the phone is only sleeping around 60% of the time. I think there is more to the problem than just one rouge app because Gsam is reporting sensors.qcom and mediaserver as using more resources in the latest lollipop.
Did you do a factory reset after the update?
Before doing that, my phone also has poor battery life, but after did a factory reset, my battery life turns a lot better!
You might consider give it a try!
