I have AA Mirror installed from AAAD and up until the recent update to Android Auto I was able to screen mirror with my S21. I haven't tried until yesterday on my S23 Ultra. It doesn't show anyting but a Black screen.
Car is a 2017 Cadillac ATS V with Android Auto. Phone is Samsung S23 Ultra. I am using a Motorola MA1 adapter as well. I did tried hardwired into USB and same result.
Should I try another screen mirroring app or is this somehow blocked by Android Auto now?
Just wondering, were you able to find a workaround for this?
Google Blocks these apps though Google Play Services updates.
Try an older Google Play Services version.

hi, my Samsung s20 ultra was working until a few days ago but through mirror link, im trying to connect through android auto but I keep getting a message on my car computer screen saying to connect a compatible USB device, I know AA is built into my fone, It mostly for navigation I need it thanks
Your car needs to be able to handle Android Auto. You say you used Mirrorlink. This is a different system. Check if your car is compatible with Android Auto. My guess is, it is not.
Hello.
I'm trying to configure my android auto so it works wirelessly. The wireless android auto is supported on Toyota Aygo 2018+, so I should be good here, and it's obviously supported on S20 FE 5G. The phone is connecting to my X-Touch without a problem, Android Auto is working flawlessly on USB, however when I simply launch the car it does not connect wirelessly. I updated android auto from apk mirror (it's not available in my country) and I tried enabling wireless projection, however when I turn the setting on in the developer options it does not appear on the list when I go back. I tried to reboot my phone just after I did that but it still didn't work.
Do you have any suggestions?

No, it isn't. Just plain old AA, not wireless. Wireless only very recently started appearing OEM in cars. In 2018 it would have required an aftermarket head unit, which began offering AA wireless support in summer 2018, not long after Google initially announced AA Wireless.

Long story short: with my previous phone (Sony Xperia Xcompact, Android Oreo) I was able to share the screen to my Smart TV; now with Redmi Note 10 Pro (Android 11, MIUI 12.5.4.0) the screen cast doens't work at all, and seems a know bug:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/iqss2m
https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/mf2d84
https://www.reddit.com/r/Xiaomi/comments/p160c9
I also tried to manually update the MIUI casting package (com.miui.mishare.connectivity) from apk mirror ("Casting" from 0.4.25 to 0.4.32), without dice.
What happen: doesn't matter if I choose Wireless Display Or Cast (which needs Bluetooth and GPS): the phone find and list the TV, it attempts to connect (nothing is transmitted on the TV's screen) and after some seconds the TV disappear from the list of available devices.
Does anybody else facing the same? I also tried to download casting apps from PlayStore, but the I face the same issue.
What can I do? I was thinking to buy a screencast stick, but not the ChromeCast (I don't want to install Google Home), maybe the Mi TV Stick, but I fear that maybe would be useless since I am facing the mentioned issue.

I too had the same issue. Had tried most steps mentioned above. From that I might give some suggestions for the time being...
1.Try downloading an app called "TV Connector" and use the connect button in that which takes you to the default wireless cast page.
2. Try restarting the device
3. Try renaming the TV to some other names and then try with wireless display option. (The cast option from the notification drop menu never works!)
4. Enable MIUI optimization, if disabled and try.
5. Try another app called "1001 TVs Screen Mirroring" from playstore and install it's client on TV.
All these which i had tried and now it's working somehow
Note:
I have another Xiaomi Mi A3 with me and it just connects flawlessly with the default cast option from the notification drop menu.!
None of these options worked..

This is excluded, since sometime I have to connect to TV of other people.
Anyway: I am on MIUI 12.5.4.0, also you or you are on 12.5.8.0?

I have the same problem with Miui 12.5.7 EU stable
My mobile is Mi10T
any solution?
Not sure about MIUI roms, but any A11 custom ROM and casting to TV and Chromecast works fine. But all the A12 ROMs do not work. I'm sticking to Android 11 for now
Yesterday (29 Jan 2022) I received the update to MIUI 12.5.7.0 and now, for me, screen cast works like a charme.
any fixes?
I am in Greece. Android Auto is not available on the play store. I used a VPN (connecting through the United States), created a new google account and I was able to install AA on my Samsung Note 8. I have been using it for 9 months with a USB cable without problems. Starting last week every time I connect my Note 8 to Android Auto, the head unit switches to AA but after a few seconds it disconnects. Here is a video.
I used my friend's phone, who has a Pixel 6 with a US account and it works fine. We tried it multiple times and it never gave any problems as shown in this video
I used the same cable so I don't think the problem is the cable. It must be an issue related to the Samsung Note 8 settings. Does anyone have an idea what is the issue and what the solution might be?
Did you try to reinstall Android Auto and Google Play Services?
Found a lot of info on this for rooted devices. but not to much for non rooted devices
i want to install AA on a LTE tablet that will stay in my car. the tablet will run other car related apps.
but im tired of having my phone tied up playing music draining my battery. specially on long trip.
also i cant record videos or talk on the phone and still have music lol i know things i shouldnt be doing anyway..
is there anyway to make it work. i tried to sideload it. but got an error 22 that android auto needed to be installed on my os.
any help would be appreciated
maybe try AA emulator on this tablet?
Android Auto app is not targeted to tablets, only phones. And since Android 10, Android Auto is a system app, not a user app. So, if your current Android version is 10 or higher and you sideloaded the Android Auto apk, it will not work. To make it work you'll need to root the tablet and install Android Auto as a system app.
[GSI] Fix 'Communication error 22' on Android Auto
If you've installed a custom ROM that doesn't come with Android Auto pre-installed, you'll get the following error when connecting your phone to your car (the Android Auto app opens correctly, the error is only shown when you connect to the car)...

The easiest alternative is to use your tablet as an Android Auto receiver using Hedunit Reloaded Emulator. It's available on the Play Store and is very cheap. It has even a free trial app with a 5 minute limit if you want to test it.
When installed, this apps acts as an Android Auto receiver. This way if you connect your phone to your tablet using an OTG cable (or a USB-C to USB-C cable if both devices have this port) your phone will detect the tablet as an Android Auto compatible headunit and show stuff on it.
You can use this app in Android headunits if they don't have Android auto compatibility, as long as they support USB OTG mode.
