Hi everyone I wanted to ask how do I reinstall the always display and the themes app on my 11t pro with MIUI14? I installed the miui 14 but I restored an old backup of themes and aod, now the aod creates some small problems for me, so I would like to reflash the miui 14 AOD and themes app.
@Giany
APKs from xiaomi.eu-ROM 14.0.1.0

What problem and which rom(full name)?
Always display is in the Ambient Display and Lock Screen settings.
You cannot downgrade apps.
xiaomi. Eu, miui 14. The AOD doesn't work well for me. I would like to reinstall it.

Twrp /wipe/format data type yes reboot Twrp.
Or use the script first install.bat from the extracted zip folder?

Sometimes restoring themes is a problem and/or incompatible.
Try downloading them from the current rom.
Ok but I would like to understand how do I reinstall AOD and the Temi App also via magisk

Still not understood what exactly was the problem with the AOD and for Temi App I don't know what it is.
And if your phone is rooted, you may have problems in some cases.
I had to format my 11t pro and flashed the miui 14, after doing so, I restored an old backup of launcher themes and settings. The problem is that when I unlock my phone sometimes the unlock screen image gets stuck on the home screen. This happens when the AOD is active. Also in the Dell AOD settings it doesn't let me create a custom AOD

Reinstalled the rom using first install.bat (will erase your data) and did not restore anything.
Try re-downloading the themes you had.

You can't reinstall system apps, try a factory reset but that's the same as reinstalling the rom.

I was able to install Chinese ZTE Axon Elite (A2015) Marshmallow rom to my international version of Axon Elite (A2016). Wifi, mobile data network and calling works. All Google apps are working too, Chinese rom has google services installed but those are needed to be activated by allowing them run in a background. Only Chinese and English languages available, but system is working in your local language after installing More Locale 2 from Google Play.
This ROM is not rooted, so you need to install Super User in TWRP right after installing this ROM.
Changes:
Added modem files (modem.b00-modem.b22, modem.mdt) from international B06 NON-HLOS.bin.
Minor build.prop changes (e.g. changed English as default language).
Removed stock recovery.
Added Google Play, Google Contact sync, Google Calendar sync, Google Gmail, Google Exchange sync, Google Phone, More Locale 2.
Removed all possible Chinese ZTE bloatware (over 200MB). I had to leave Mi-Assistant so that it can be used for allowing apps running in a background (example Google Play, Super SU).
[*]Added stock Marshmallow boot animation and removed boot sound.
Features:
Latest Google Security patch
MiFavor UI 4.0 with new themes and fonts
Applications Avatar (I have no idea what it is)
Toolbox - including compass, noise test, ruler, protractor, level meter, paintings
Calendar, shows weather for five next days
New Desktop backup and recovery capabilities
Long screenshots
More system Sleep functions
Smoother UI animations
SMS two-finger zoom
New power limits
Enhanced ZTE lock screen
...and some more which might not be useful in other countries than China (please check more details from: http://www.myzte.cn/thread-270646-1-1.html)
Working:
Wifi, mobile network, mobile data, bluetooth.
Fingerprint scanning.
Google Play services + other Google apps are working too (like Calendar, Contacts sync), but must be activated in Mi-Assistant Auto-start manager and allowing permissions in apps. Please see attached images for example.
Bugs and limitations:
NFC doesn't work.
Only Chinese and English languages, but it is possible to use More Locale 2 app (included in ROM) to change locale settings. Then apps (and part of the system) are working on your defined language. On my opinion it works just like in B06. More Locale requires Root access and executing ADB command (app shows the needed command) to change locale.

Based on the tip from @martas.vavra, I removed stock Chinese recovery so TWRP is not deleted after installing this rom.
Working Super user can be downloaded here https://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/57550023717f4/SuperSU_V2.62-3.zip. Thanks again @martas.vavra.
Quick steps:
(optional) Backup all apps by using ZTE own backup/restore app. It's then possible to restore apps after rom installation.
Install TWRP+root by using the method by @acer73: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zte-axon/development/zte-axon-elite-a2016-twrp-root-t3237760
Copy ZTE_Axon_Elite_A2016_unofficial_B15M_09092016 to SD card.
Boot to TWRP recovery.
Do full backup in TWRP.
Do factory reset in TWRP.
Install ZTE_Axon_Elite_A2016_unofficial_B15M_09092016 from SD card in TWRP. NOTE! Status bar is not progressing at all when installation is ongoing! Don't panic. Just wait, it will complete.
Install Super User .zip again.
Reboot. Please be patient, first boot will take minutes to complete.
After first boot is complete, start Mi-Assistant and enable apps (Google Play, Google Contacts, SuperSU... etc) in Auto-run Manager.
Enable app permissions for Calendar, Contacts, Phone, SMS, Storage in Settings -> Apps, App permissions.
Reboot.
(optional) Restore apps by using ZTE own backup/restore app. ZTE has removed Backup/restore app but here's download link for backup/restore app from B12M: https://mega.nz/#!hZQ2HTbb!IvTJu17kjibXGSJBsRUutz0wwPZL0XlruDVAyExqsC8
Note to users: I'm not responsible if you brick your phone, so please be careful!
Thank you for your efforts! Great to hear that there are only minor bugs. :fingers-crossed:
Leaves me thinking about why ZTE does not provide this update by themselves if there are only few things needed to be adjusted in order to make this work...

Like already mentioned, when trying to add PIN lock, settings will force close. I also compared international B05 and Chinese marshmallow rom files and noticed differences on fingerprint modules and apps, so I believe we are out of luck here.

I think that copying that files, modules and apps would be possible, from one to another, won't you? I have no idea of how to doing it, but maybe it is easy for someone experimented in rom's modding.

Unfortunately I don't know, because I was testing this rom just half day. On that time I didn't notice battery drain. I returned back to B06 because my phone has to be password protected and I just can't live anymore without fingerprint scanner.

Probably it's nothing to do with fingerprint scanner. I checked logcat file and settings will force close before that. Settings will force close right after trying to enable PIN code lock.

With cyanogenmod there has been similar issues with some devices and error has been caused by wrong baseband (https://forum.cyanogenmod.org/topic/118507-cant-enable-screen-lock/?page=3), which means that users have not been updating the baseband before updating the latest version of cyanogenmod. This might be the same issue, I used lollipop baseband to get this work.
I created new version based on latest Chinese B10M (previous was B09M):

Easiest and the best way is to take full twrp backup first before installing this rom. Then it can be restored in twrp and phone is restored to the state it was before.
If backup is not made, then stock B05 update.zip needs to be installed in recovery (in stock or twrp).
@kacsa105 pointed out that adb root method doesn't work anymore with B10M. I didn't notice it because I installed recovery + supe su in right after I installed B10M in twrp.
If you are now in stock Chinese recovery, then follow these steps to restore stock B05 in stock (Chinese) recovery:
1. download B05 from:
http://download.ztedevice.com/UpLoadFiles/product/643/6549/soft/2016042111364202.zip. Unzip it and find update.zip
2. place update.zip to phone internal SD card
3. shut down your phone
4. reboot to recovery: Press and hold Volume up button then Press and hold Power button. When ZTE logo appears, stop pressing Power button but continue pressing Volume up until it goes to recovery.
5. It should be now in stock Chinese recovery. You need to use volume up/down buttons and move it to the selection where is written something on Chinese but with letters SD (which means your internal SD card). Press Power button to select it.
6. Use vol down to navigate until you see update.zip and choose it with power button. If I remember correctly, you need to confirm Yes (it should be in English if I remember it correctly).
7. After it has been updated, recovery asks something again in Chinese. Don't change the selection, just use power button to select what it proposes, and system will boot.
Just wait until your phone boots back to system. If it keeps crashing, just power it down and reboot again to recovery. Recovery should be in English now. Then clear cache and dalvik (or was it factory reset?) and boot to system again.
Google play crashed, when download big data games. Solution pls

I'm not using this rom because PIN lock screen and fingerprint doesn't work (CM has these issues too). Then it has some China specific in the settings. Be careful when installing this B10 rom, you need to install twrp recovery + root again in recovery right after flashing this rom. Otherwise you will loose root and recovery is replaced by stock Chinese.
On my opinion this is not worth of flashing, you don't even notice major differences. In some devices Marshmallow has improved performance and battery life, but I didn't notice any difference. I'm using stock B06 (5.0.2) with xposed (+some modules installed) and I'm happy with it.
Of course this rom is fun to try if you want to test how Marshmallow will look in our device.

Hi guys
I'm quite new to the K20 Pro. Last night, my friend asked me to install some custom AOSP ROMs for him. I chose Cosmic OS first since it just got updated recently. Installed and booted up just fine, BUT here's the problem :
- First boot up and installed GCam : front camera pops up fine
- Installed 81Hz mod and Immensity kernel : still pops up fine
- Some Magisk modules like NFS, Viper4android v2.7, Google dialer framework : still pops up fine
- Substratum app and apply Liv Dark theme : front camera STUCKS after a reboot, can't even use the Motor Control app to get it pop up again
So I thought the problem lies in the Substratum and the theme but uninstalling those didn't help, EVEN clean flashing the ROM again. Changing to MIUI 11 EU rom, front camera works fine again.
If anyone knows whether the problem is in the ROM itself or conflict with the modules/theme/mod/kernel or it's a common issues in custom AOSP ROMs then please let me know asap, I'll be very appreciated.
THANK YOU !!!!!!

Nope ! I thought you came back from MIUI 11. If you're jumping within Pie, it's not a problem. There should be no other reason why the Cam won't Pop-up other than the Camera sensor fail. Did you wipe Vendor?.

At first I used TWRP 3.3.1-15 by Mauro, 5 wipe and flashing Vendor 10.3.17 + Rom + Gapps but failed at the vendor so I switched to LRTeam TWRP. This time only 4 wipe since there's no Vendor option. Flashing was ok and the phone booted up

People are just copy pasting tutorials from old devices which have dedicated System, Recovery, Vendor etc partions and and wiping one of these won't crash the device. K20P is a system as a root device and wiping system wipes of everything except vendor. Moreover, wiping System isn't required at all as most of the roms these days have System wipe scripts already baked in and would wipe the system irrespective of whether you wipe it or not. There's no real added advantage of wiping system before you flash the rom. System wipes should only be done occassionally whenever you have really messed up something or getting FC's.

im about to flash china rom miui 12 but i have a few questions.
1. After you install playstore can you uninstall the default apps store without any errors or bootloops?
2. what are the bloating apps that can we safely remove in china rom?
Im also gonna install china rom at my global device as im not interested at google services
My advice to you is to make sure that your bootloader is unlocked... otherwise you would brick your device..
yes thats correct. reason why android must unlocked before doing anything to your device. if you soft bricked your device you can always recover it via flashboot or recovery.
what i only need is the MIUI 12. if i have the google play store i will uninstall all the apps from china since i dont need it.
i have flashed china miui 12 rom on redmi 9 lancelot and also install playstore, downloaded all my apps from play store and remove around 9 to 10 china apps that can be uninstall from apps easily. only baidu map is there nothing else. rom is too good and working perfect on redmi 9 global variant
thats great!
how about the appstore/market apps for china?
did you uninstall it withoud having bootloops?

hope it helps you
additional uninstalled:
sms extra
newhome
smarthome
all huaqin
logger
all print related.
mi home disappeared without any issues. i felt faster bootup, transition and loading.
i tried to remove getapps again and restarted the phone. at first i didnt encounter any bootloops or problem but after i turned off the phone and fully charged, it caused me forever bootloops and it ended up wiping all the data and debloated again.
now my miui 12 china rom is almost perfect.
the next thing i want to uninstall is the multiple user, special features and the getapps. if anyone knows how to remove these apps please reply.
after all of this i preferred to flash it back to miui v11.0.8
Hi all,
I upgraded my rooted 10 pro to NE2213_11_C22 (OOS13) with OPLocalUpdate.apk (thanks to @dladz' best guide) but I have a big issue.
Several of my apps don't work on the mobile network anymore, only on Wi-fi.
So I would like to know if it is possible to install the update again (with OPLocalUpdate.apk) as if it was a new update without wipe data.
Thanks a lot !

When changing to other os best to wipe. You will have to download play store APK and install it to get play store back if on coloros. I don't know if your Carrier has issues on color os either. Start by deleting your apn. And press reset to default and reboot to see if it fixes before wiping

I haven't change OS.
I'm already in OOS since the beginning. I just install the last update like the other one (with root procedure because i'm already root) but this time is bug.
But i don't know if it's possible to reinstall the same install (C22 to C22) like a another update (C21 to C22) without wipe.

You can install as many times as you want with the side loaded system updater app. It will flash and change to opposite slot each time

Hello,
I installed the new Global Rom from Xiaomi EU today. Unfortunately, no apps can be downloaded and install via Playstore.
installing a normal apk does not work either.
It looks like the system has no permissions or they are missing. Does anyone know this problem?
Best regards
Philip
ticket can close. only twrp 3.7.0 can install this miui 14 version.
Hi. I tried to install on sweetin by changing the updater script file of this rom. but i can't use it. i tried with orange fox & twrp both. everytime i reboot to system, device works like 10 seconds and then back to recovery. any solution ?

I am noticing a large increase in battery consumption with xiaomi.eu 14. Before my battery would drop about 3% while idle about 8 hours sleeping. Now it is 16%.
When I checked battery usage, the bulk was for Android System, but after rebooting the battery usage data seems to have been reset and it's just a flat line.
I also experienced significant issues and even a fresh clean install from TWRP didn't help. I am happy on LineageOS 20 now.
I did another clean install, and after restoring my apps I uninstalled magisk and didn't debloat it, just in case there's an issue there somewhere. After charging it from ~20% to 100%, I used it for awhile. Then for 6 hours of rest, it went from 82% to 80%, so 2% which is about right.
I think the battery may need calibration after the upgrade. I'll probably try to debloat again next. I'm having a lot of issues with magisk lately, though, upgrade or not, so not sure about that.
I installed the update and faced the problem of installing apps from Google Play and apk files
Is there a solution to this problem ?

you need to install PackageInstaller.apk and then proceed to install applications
the app is removed from xiaomi.eu rom
System apps in local ROM are modified with their own translation . If the Package installer is used to update, there are collisions/corruption of the translation and some functions.
Therefore, the package installer was removed from the local ROM.

I faced this problem in the official ROM itself, not only in Eu ROM. Applications could not be installed and an error message appeared that no storage space was available, although there was plenty of space available.
Try it out
Factory reset... on your phone!!!
Wiped cache.. Dalvik cache...

in twrp - wipe --internal storage
I don't seem to be having any issues. I dirty flashed over V13.0.16.0.SKFMIXM with TWRP 3.7.0.
