Hai guys, My pixel 7 portrait mode doesn't blur background. It was working fine when i got it around 3-4 months ago but now it's not working. My camera app is updated to latest version 8.8.224.520435764.11.
Seems like camera is taking photos in normal mode even when portrait is selected as we can see hair separation is perfect. I have attached the images with red one not edit and taken as portrait one, green one is edited manually with background blur.
This is only happening on main rear camera. Selfie portrait works fine
Any idea on how to solve this?

I solved the problem myself by clearing cache and data of camera app.

Hi everyone!
I recently got my P10 and one thing I observed is that the wide aperture mode in the camera doesn't work for me. It doesn't blur the background. It's basically the same at f0.95 and at f16. After I've taken the picture with wide aperture enabled, I don't get the aperture icon in the gallery to edit the photo afterwards...
I attached 3 photos demostrating the problem:

What I tried:

2. Clear camera app cache
3. Wipe particion cache
Hi,
I was just playing around with the camera app today and noticed that the front camera was set to 5.2 megapixels, so I was like let's just change it back to 8..
Unfortunately, when I tapped on the front camera options there was no option above 5.2..
Any suggestions that'll fix this?
Do know my device is exynos and I'm running the latest security patch I.e: june one ui

There is 8 mpx.
When you run camera, switch to "wide" angle, and than enter In settings.

Thanks bro..
I mentioned this problem in another thread before. Since we have the wide mode me lost true 8 MP Front Camera. No other mode or camera app except the fake "wide mode" can take pics with 8 MP. Samsung screwed us there big time
Hello Friends,
I have been using the ROG Phone 2 from the past three days. From yesterday i noticed that the potrait mode and wide angle options are missing from the camera app when i am on the main camera 12MP
I had installed gcam, but i have now unistalled it.
I cleared the data and cache of the camera app.
The issue still exists. Anyone facing this problem? Please help. I have attached the screenshot of the camera interface.

Install a different version of gcam that has the functionality.
Hi everyone
I also have a mi9, recently updated to miui 12, no root. Everything works well, except...
I took some pictures with stock camera app, and i was Wow!, such a short time to process a 48 megapixel photo...
My phone takes picture a t 0,7 megapixel and I don't know why...
photo quality is set to high, and this also happens with 12 megapixel camera and wide camera
Front camera works fine, it always takes 20 megapixel photos
this issue never appens in miui 11
i reset the app, but nothing change; i tried to find some like this on web, but nothing. tried to reinstall the app but I only found it in Chinese
does anyone else have the same problem?
currently i use Gcam, and everything works fine

Pixel 4XL, bought refurbished from Amazon
Android 12 updated to 5 May 2022
Camera Version 8.4.600.440402475.27
Camera (main/rear, not selfie) works fine for pictures and video at 1X.
If I zoom it goes out of focus/blurry.
Common issue (software?) or defective phone?

Update.
I uninstalled the update and went down to version 8.3.252.391156422.17.
Nothing has changed, I still have the same "out of focus" problem... :-(
Download the bsg gcam mod go into your gcam settings on "photo modes session config" and set interface to pixel 3
