Alpha Testers for Cinemo 2

I need a few people with phones whose resolution width is 480 and height is either 640, 720, or 800 to test the interface for the latest version of Cinemo.
If you are interested and want to help out, please PM me your email address and I will email you a CAB.
If you aren't familiar with Cinemo, it is an application for movie information and showtimes.
This alpha test only includes the main screen and is limited to my local zip code.
I would really appreciate any help.

Does anyone know what happened to cinemo??? The original version does not work anymore and hasn't for 2 weeks! Is this app still being worked on or do I need to find a different movie viewer? Thanks to anyone if they have some info

yea i believe its no longer working also because i am having the same issue with it not working. I think this is why her is working on Cinemo 2 for us.

I just installed it on my TP2 and it doesn't work. It says no movie times were found in your area 78258. Yeah right. Too bad its a nice looking app.

Yea, the old version stopped working a while ago, probably in anticipation of the new release or because of a change in whatever server it gets it's info from.

UK - Second Batch / Non-Play Store Thread

So, will you be holding out for the second batch from the Play store or purchasing from somewhere else?
I've called Google a couple of times and been given no definite answer very vague in fact. 'Check online'
I've phoned and called into CarPhoneWarehouse local to me, 'N4, don't know, no idea'
Where else have you tried?
Dates for availability?
Prices?

I'm waiting oin mine to be dispacthed but I do believe Google are starting to say 2 weeks a lot more consistently in their emails. Not the greatest of info but I hope it's a start.. :good:

Well I didn't get one so I'm holding for the next Batch.
Went to my local CPW this morning they did have them in stock but they for contact only.
I did get to play around with one. I must say its a big stop up from the plastic galaxy nexus

I just through to a different CPW, one that actually had it in stock and new what it was.
He went away tp check and said they're not currently selling it SIM free and doesn't know if they will be, hasn't been communicated to them.

They will be selling it SIM-free, but they're not sure when. They're waiting for the green light from HQ and they're waiting for more stock to come in. Because they're not sure when they're selling they are also unsure of pricing. I have been told £349.99 directly but there are rumours it's going to be £389.99, as you can see from the graph above.

LMSA problem, stock trying to update moto Z3 play

I'm using the Lenovo Moto Smart Assistant to update my Moto Z3 play Amz, but in the middle of the update 51% just get freez, if you know the processes i will love to get some advice.

The update will be stuck with 51% for quite some time before proceeding. Just do not touch anything and go have a cup of coffee. and come back.

This happened to me on my first attempt. After 30 minutes, I just disconnected and reboot phone. That time, it was fine but no update. I tried again later and ended up having to run Rescue--which did work. On the 28.70-31-12 update (the LSMA itself had updated), it did hang at 51% but continued on after about 15 minutes. All seemed to be good as phone showed the new update (Feb). Then I discovered the baseband was gone or not being recognized. I also showed no IMEI so phone Smart Assistant could not run rescue. Getvar showed the IMEI but no baseband. I wasted time seeking help (trying to get an ota.zip I could adb sideload on my locked bootloader). I reluctantly ( refurbished doesn't appeal to me when I'd just bought the phone new) sent my 9 week old phone to warranty repair. I sent it Monday. They received it Tues and mailed a replacement on Tues. FedEx says I'll get it today. I don't care if 100,000 people used LSMA successfully, there is an issue with it. I won't use it again. Look at this thread.

Blurry in app icons

Hi, I have an ROG Phone II on Android 10 version 17.0240.2108.103, and a lot of my apps have blurry icons when I'm inside the apps for no apparent reason, almost like it's loading the wrong DPI for the icons. Snapchat, YouTube, Google maps, Facebook, Messenger, TikTok, and my Asus router app are all effected in some capacity. I attached screenshots of the apps I've noticed the issue in so far.. any ideas would be helpful. Deleting the apps and reinstalling them doesn't help

Maube try update to A11? I have updated month ago and its running really smooth. If U will face this problem on A11 then we will tey to figure something

That's what my plan was, but I still don't have any OTA notification over a month after release.
I haven't looked much into updating manually, but it seems more complex than I'd like.
I'll be going for any other brand the next time I need a phone. This poor software support really sucks. I sent an inquiry about the headphone jack not functioning on the fan accessory when using the gamepad attachment, and never got anything useful back out of it.
My first Android phone was an Essential PH-1 and getting updates the same time as Pixel devices really spoiled me. Security updates were always current, as well. Much better experience overall, on a much more limited device.

Update: I dropped the . ZIP OTA file into root, and it fixed all the issues I was having.
It also removed a gesture I liked having to get to the app tray. "innovation" they call it.
Thanks for the suggestion though, I appreciate it! At least the icons look better now

I wonder if they changed that you can only get the software in the country you registered the phone to?
Like OPPO phones needing VPN for updates from the right country? And then only some countries got it by now?

I got the update 2 days ago for my 512gb x90 pro plus. I accidentally open the trial update menu and their it was.. I'm from the Netherlands

So we are still only talking about trial because stable version is yet to be released?

Yeah I checked that once and saw the same.

If it would be a stable - then everyone could download it (from fastboot you can always download the latest stable version - but not the trial versions).
Likely something still broken - usually it was 7 days from first appearances of trial to stable. So maybe this time the trial doesn't make it stable.

I have the mobile since last Friday and the battery spends very fast I do not know if my mistake has been to install the trial version, it happens to me both having Chinese applications installed and without them even charging it slowly I have the same problem
