Is something wrong with my phone? Cause I cant seem to connect in Band 41 although it is supported in spec sheet. My other phone can connect on band 41 just fine with the same sim card. If I lock onto band 41 i'm getting no signal.
The only bands here my area is 1, 28 and 41. 1, and 28, is slow and 41 seems to be the fastest (tested on modems and on other phones such as vivo). Anyone knows what is the problem?
In screenshot, sim 1 has no signal on band41. Sim 2 is just 2G.

Over the past month it appears that Band 26 LTE has been activated in my area, which is causing my previously stable LTE (previously Band 25 only) to drop to cycle between 3G and Band 26 LTE about twice a minute.
I can access the ##DATA# and disable Band 26 which allows it to remain on a stable Band 25 LTE connection.
However, I noticed today that if I access *#*#4636#*#*, go to Phone Information, then press the three dots on the top right and then "Select radio band", I can then press on USA BAND, Cellular (800-Mhz Band), PCS (1900-MHz Band) and then Secondary 800-Mhz Band. Once I do that and exit those options, my phone then keeps a LTE connection...even a better connection than normal and it even stays on Band 26.
If I restart the phone, the symptoms come back unless I go back to that 4636 menu and perform those steps. Any ideas?
The *#*#4636#*#* option you're messing with is for phone access (3g) so you're effectively disabling 3g to get connection also, try disabling band 41 instead, sprint reps were saying it caused most of our problems when spark was breaking phones
Also try calling sprint and make it so you get 3rd level tech support (which will take you out of india and back to the states) they tend to know their job better

I did just discover that disabling Band 41 (in this area I do not have Band 41, just 25 & 26) hashas allowed my phone to cycle between band 26 and 25 without issue. I then, with the recent update to the M8 you can also change the band priority, changed priority to 26 then 25 (was 25 to 26). That seems to have helped it remain at even a band 25 connection longer when the signal is weaker.
Thank you for the reply. Do you know what is up with Band 41?

If that worked and you are able to set priorities then your towers are telling your phone that there IS band 41... my area doesnt have band 41 as it still has wimax enabled and the band priority option is unusable to me, it just says "unable to set priority with only 2 bands enabled", even though I havent disabled any bands it knows there is no 41 here...
This was a huge deal before the 1.10.xxx update are you still on 1.8.xxx? If so that might be the issue, if not call sprint, have them fix it

I updated to the version released this week (3.30.651.2) , which also gave me the option to set band priority.
It seems that perhaps a recent PRL update turned on Band 41, thus the issue started. The recent PRL update again turned Band 41 on, which I disabled to restore LTE stability.
So if I run LTE discovery, it shows LTE band is 4, if I go into *#*#3282#*#* it shows bands 12,25,26,41 nothing else..... Also all 4 of these bands have a priority setting of 0....If I go into *#*#4636#*#* and go into the menu , select radio band...it shows USA Band, Band Mode 6, Band Mode 7 and Band mode 15 which is weird no indication of band 4 anywhere..... I read that Telus's fastest LTE is on Band 7 but I have no clue how to get there.... I am downtown Calgary so there should be coverage... any suggestions?
My LG G6 has lost the ability to reconnect to band 66 LTE beacaue I clicked on a different band in the field test menu and band 66 isn't listed in there cause typical LG never updates anytbing and I have no way of making it reset again to be in automatic mode, luckily Freedom turned on band 4 the other day so I still have LTE access but not as robust as I should be getting since 66 is much faster, I've tried even factory reset and it didn't nothing, I've attached a picture of the menu that shows that it doesn't list band 66 as an option but it is compatible according to specs, I've been told on Reddit that because I clicked on band 4 it will only connect to band 4 now
Hey guys,
xda still going strong. nice to see.
need some help though.
i bought a note 8(yes in 2020) for some reason(side device) and i got stuck with a problem right away.
i noticed that TDD LTE bands(band 34,38,39,40,41) are all missing from my device.
i am having an exynos varient (n950f)
i was monitoring my network from past 2 days and 3ca was working fine. i was connected to 3,5 and band 40 all together.
i wanted better reception so went in network selection mode and selected band 5 preffered. i dialed *#0011# to check my ca status and i was still transmitting on all 3 bands with speeds well over 100mbps.
after some time my speeds died and i no longer see band 40 in *#0011# menu and i have tried restarting device and what not but still cant connect to band 40.
i am pretty sure TDD LTE bands including band 40 was missing from band selection menu earlier too but things were just fine. not i am stuck with a expensive device that fails badly.
please help.
on some inspection i observed that my phones is continously doing 2ca even when using no major data on band 3 and 5.
basic is stuck on band 3 and s1 on band 5. me changing to whatever setting in band selection in hiddennetworksetting dont affect it.
tried selecting bands that my operator dont even support. not in preffered mode but as the only hard selection. makes no diffrence. network signals shuts for a second and i am back on band 3 and 5 combo
So I Tried To Disable Band 40 And Only Enabling Band 3 or 5 But It Didn't work Band 40 Keeps Re-enabling itself,it affects me cause in my area Band 40 is slow Band 3 is Faster Band 5 is the Fastest(Tested with my POCO F1). I also Rooted the Phone and then tried using some apps like network signal guru etc. but they dont work cause they only Support Qualcomm. Is There Anyone who can help me with this?
I am using M2003J15SI Model,Using Jio,MIUI 12
Thank You.

I am also having the same situation with my Redmi Note 9 (Global Version). It keeps rechecking the band 40. However, I think that it just keeps rechecking by display only, when in fact it is really turned off. For example, I am currently in band 40, then I unchecked band 40, leaving only band 3 checked. When I check the band selection again, band 40 was checked. But when I check the band in the "Network Monitor Lite" app, it is connected to band 3. So I think, it only displays (checks) the band 40 when in fact it is really turned off. Thanks
