I recommend not updating to the March patch
since the vinary changes to 4
and in February it is still in binary 3
This will make it possible to return to android 12 and 11.
from 5.1 no longer open more system updates.
Hello colleagues
A new patch with binary 5 was released in April.
making it impossible to return through odin to android 12 and (11) (arabia, taiwan, etc)
It could be something not so relevant for some, but for others yes, who want to stay in android 12.
Android 13 with UI 5.1 was released in February and one more patch in March.
no longer open android 14 UI 6.0 updates
in my case it doesn't matter to go to binary 5.

Is android N update available for sprout4 devices.....?
waiting for the updates....
sprout devices might get it If the N stable ota rolls out before oct 2016. Between could anyone pull the boot image & boot animation of N from the developer preview and fabricate it for sprout devices
Android N Will Relese in August-September 2016.
So Just Wait And You Will Surely Get Test Of Android N. However it Would Be Last But Not Least
Yeah I think we will get it (fingercrossed) but for now it's just the previews.
Preview 1 (initial release, alpha) - March
Preview 2 (incremental update, beta) - April
Preview 3 (incremental update, beta) - May
Preview 4 (final APIs and official SDK, Play publishing) - June
Preview 5 (near-final system images for final testing) - July
Final release to AOSP and ecosystem - August
So the nexus line will be the first among androids to get ota's in month of august. We can expect ota after 1 or 2 months after nexus devices ie in sept or Oct.
But last time android marshmallow came first to android one devices and then to nexus
No the nexus devices got them first. We got the update very soon after that.
Nexus devices are already running Android N, though it's preview. And since preview is for Nexus line so they will be fixing bugs for Nexus line. So there's more possibility of releasing it to Nexus line. Android One will receive updates later from my point of view. Cheers..!!
I am happy

The tech giant had earlier released a time table that shows the schedule for upgrades to the latest UI for its old smartphones. ... Most of the models like the G9 Plus, Huawei Nova, Honor 6X, Honor Note 8 and M3 tablet would start getting their full upgrades between March and latest May 2017.

Fingers crossed!
So will this just be for Chinese versions or will the rest of us get it?

"Normally" nowadays this should mean countries outside China will receive an update sometime in the future, most likely not in May but later.
After thinking I actually did upgrade from EMUI 4 and Android Marshmallow to EMUI 5 and Nougat 7 is my Huawei M3 the same? In the week of Feb 6-10 2017 my Huawei Mediapad M3 ( BTV-W09) had a notification to upgrade via a download it provided from it's stock EMUI 4.1 and Android 6 to EMUI 5 and Android Nougat 7, which I did download and install. After doing so it says it is still EMUI 4.1, Build Number BTV-W09C128B003, Android 6, with Android Dec 2016 security patch? No noticeable difference at all other than security level.
Did it just update the security level? I thought I read that this upgrade was going to be available for this model in around May of this year 2017? Android security patch level is still Dec 2016 (6) as of right now.
Thanks,
Signed,
That was a Dud.
My new note 8 come at home today, l'm using it since a few hours and i do not have any update. Any way to force update or the only way is odin?
there's a software update option in settings from where you can force an update if it is available.
Samsung however has been very neglectful with note 8 security updates, until today(for me at least) they didn't release any updates since August.
they have however started releasing a new update, so you might get an update if you search now.
my internal duos version are still on august as well but my Vodafone branded one got the November patch in beginning of December
Just be patient, I just received the Nov update 2 days ago
I have the sm-t713 variant. Security update of August 2017.
Does Samsung send out regular updates for these Tabs?
I'm coming from a Nexus 7 with an Oreo ROM and was spoiled with monthly updates. TIA.

I came to this site looking to security updates, too. My Galaxy Tab S2 (wi-fi) , Android version 7.0, shows Android security patch level: April 1, 2017. I have tried "Download updates manually" and it says it is up to date. Is there a way to force a newer security update? Do I have to root and install a custom ROM to get this device secure?
Well, the LineageOS builds are up to date in Security Update matters... ^^

I have the 2016 S2 8.0 but my patch level is August 2017. Since the security patches are now at least 6 months behind, I have a feeling we won't be seeing any more. Is yours the 2015 version? Maybe that's why it's even further behind than mine. I will probably flash LineageOS 15.1 at some point although I don't need its features.
BTW, you don't have to root to flash a custom ROM. Just flash TWRP with Odin and then flash a new ROM and Gapps with TWRP. Rooting is optional on LineageOS.

One more question if I may? After installing LineageOS or other custom ROMS, will they get the regular monthly security patches?

LineageOS generally has weekly updates so every 4 weeks or so, the security patch gets updated (as long as the developer maintains the ROM.) Some of the less popular ROMs may not see updates as regularly.
Right now we are @ 05.01.18 as patch level, next one will follow soon
EDIT: Like... now: @ 05.02.18
I just received an update. This is Baseband version N960USQS5ETH5. From what I can tell, it is only a security update., as my Security patch level now says September 1, 2020.
To reiterate:
Still on Android 10
Still on One UI 2.1 (From what I can tell, we'll eventually get One UI 2.5)
