Question Notification light not working - Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra

Hey,
I configured notification lightning in my Galaxy s21 ultra but it doesn't work.
I followed many instruction online and on You Tube but still.
It doesn't work while screen is on\off.
Can some help?
P.S
I download some app from Google Play to achieve the light but I want to remove it after fixing this issue.

[Q] Quite a few issues (memo, profiles, screen) (Beginner)

Hello Everyone!
I am new to Android, my Galaxy Note is my first Android phone. So maybe my questions will seem stupid :
- Is there a way to quickly change between Silence/vibrate/ringtones ? Like a widget ? It is easy to switch between vibrate to ringtones, but I have to go to settings when I have to get the vibration off.
- Is there a way to be reminded of memos or tasks, like an alarm, but with memos ? An app for that maybe ?
- My screen has sometimes problems with black pixels on dark photos or youtube videos. There are huge packs of black pixel, not showing great hardware problem ? I hope not...
Thank you!

If you slide down the drop down menu you can turn on sounds or no sounds. You can also get widgets on the market that can enable or disable vibrations I believe as well.
Gtasks is an app I use to sync google tasks, there are options to put reminders (alarms). I don't believe memos in theory need reminders or alarms. I believe that to be a task if it's time constricted.
You could upload a picture here, and we can see if we can replicate the issue. I don't have my note yet, it's on its way. But I'm sure someone else wouldn't mind taking a look at it.
Cheers

If it is "sometimes" then usually it is not a dead pixel because they are "everytime"... It could be just contrast issues on the picture.

Change LED notification color

Hi all,
I want to have a LED notification with Gmail. So I tried Light Flow and LED Manager from store. But both are not working.
Did somebody try to change LED color?
I was able to turn on led notification for gmail with Light Manager Pro 12.1.7, but I'm unable to change color (it's already blue for gmail).

Did you try Light Flow? If not, would you mind to try if you can?
Someone replied to my thread on the same matter last week and said it was working fine as long as you use the basic colors given by the app.
I tried to install it on a device in a shop via apk, but the damn retail demo that I couldn't manage to uninstall/deactivate prevented me from locking the screen to allow a test run (it's a feature in the settings of light flow).
Btw I got an answer from the developers of both LightManager and LightFlow and they told me P20 Pro is not fully compatible with these apps, but I don't know what "not fully" means in terms of what we can and can't do.

Light flow didnt seem capable of setting the color correctly. For instance... the led color just kind of cycled a few colors when I set a particular notificationc olor to blue.
LightManager seems to work so far... but blue is very dim.
Both require a persistent notification. Will see how that affects battery.
Edit: Annoyingly enough, after seeing lightmanager works, I decided to pay the dev for the full version... which does not work. Somehow.

Thanks a lot for your feedback!
Damn... I was hoping to get at least a smooth run, working basic colors and no persistent notification.
I’ll give it a go again in another store by installing light manager before giving up and going with the S9+.
I paid for the full Light Flow version and it still isn't working for my P20 Pro. Guess we gotta wait for full compatibility

I gave up using Light Flow a few months ago but tried again today, out of curiosity, and it works! I recently updated the P20 Pro firmware to v8.1.0.156 (C432), don't know if it started working with this version or the one before.

Notification light/aod

Im used to the led light on my previous samsung phones. The s10 doesn't have one but people were asking samsung to implement the camera cut out light, others made apps and one that was interesting that was the AOD would activate only when there was a notification to open.
As im looking to switch to the s10, are there news on the implementation of the notification light or new apps? Do the current apps work well?
Thank you!
If you're only looking for an LED notification, Samsung has updated the Edge Lighting + settings within the Good Lock app to create an notification ring to display around the camera cut out. I have it set on my phone and it performs exactly to my liking.

Thanks!
I have read and seen videos on it when it was released but it only worked for a few seconds when the notification showed up and didn't keep "blinking" like the led/until you seen or open the notification. Its still like that right?
I'm not 100% sure about that. I rarely see my notifications right away and generally check my phone when I get back to my desk when at work.
Holey Light on the play store...
I have read that holey lights uses quite a bit of battery, i wanted something that didn't use as much.
There was this AOD app that would only show when there was a notification but i don't know how well it works

Edge Lighting Notifications - Lost Cause?

Hi all,
I'm starting to give up hope on making the Edge Lighting work as a notification with AOD Always On (and not installing third-party apps).
I just want to go into Samsung's Edge Lighting Menu, select Google's Messages app, or Facebook Messenger, or Instagram, create a color, and have it work when the screen is off and AOD is on. Why is this so difficult?
Am I missing something? Why would Samsung create the Edge Lighting to work ONLY with their Messages app and not a single other app on the Play Store?
Does anyone know of a decent fix? I tried the Glimpse trick, but it only Edge Lights up one color (whatever is chosen for Glimpse), and the little popup at the top of the AOD is a Glimpse Icon, not the real notification (ex. "App Icon: Sender: Message Content"). I think this would work great, and very simply, as it's essentially just forcing a screen wake for selected apps, which is what Edge needs to work, apparently, but it's own popup bubble and Edge color is useless right now.
And I've tried the "Edge Lighting Fix For All Apps" App, but it's still pretty convoluted for setup and actually spells out each app in the notification popup (ex. "Instagram: Sender: Message Content") rather than the IG Icon and then the content. It's the best we've got right now, but it's still sad Samsung can't make this work by now (how many phones with edge screens have there been now?)
Anyone have other workarounds for this? Thanks in advance, it's driving me nuts.:silly:
I know you don't want to use a 3rd party app, but the aodNotify app will do just what you're looking for and it is developed from a user right here on XDA. It's got a low profile so battery life isn't affected much at all. You can get it on the play store. I highly recommend it as it doesn't look like Samsung is gonna do anything.

I've tried that, but it's using a knockoff version of edge light that looks like junk, to be blunt. Sammy's is smoother and I want that to be the Edge Light in use.
Also, no customizing app colors.
I use it with the Edge lighting plus app, it works well for me. Good luck on your quest!
not every app works with edge notif's, matter of fact, it seems that very few do. go to the galaxy store and download "good lock", it allows you to configure the edge notif's and its directly from samsung. Not third party. It also allows you to customize the s**t out of the statusbar, bottom icons etc etc. It gives root access to mods that no other app has access to
Apparently, my Edge Lighting on my S10 works for 2 of the 3 apps I selected: Whatsapp, Samsung Messages work fine, Samsung Email (v6.1.12) does not show Edge Lighting on my S10. I enables all notifications for Samsung Email, but not luck. Pretty annoying. Anyone experiencing this too?

Samsung S10 Fullscreen mode possible?

Hello!
I'm looking for an option or a mod that deletes the grey part of statusbar on Samsung S10
I want to go fully fullscreen!
I Already tried fullscreen immersive with adb and played around with resolution.
I have also tried to put the policy control under apps like Brave. But its not working att all.
Still grey statusbar! I also tried to play around with all the settings in the phone that should enable apps to go fullscreen mode.
Not working!
Neither looking for clone apps to make a setting to go fullscreen.
Is it not possible anyhow to remove the grey part that disable me to go fully fullscreen?
Greetings!
Feels like this phone was not as fine tuned like my Samsung 8 Note 64GB.
I couldn't find any resolution to this problem. So I sold it.
I bought a new Samsung 8 Note instead to run the perfect Hadens ROM!
