Question Phone gets quite hot. - Samsung Galaxy S23

I just got my S23 a couple of days ago. Yesterday when I was in a restaurant, the phone got really warm. To the point of being uncomfortable to hold. I managed to take a screenshot of a sensors app and it showed that it was in the 43°s one of the sensors even got to 73°C (Tho idk what that sensor is)

It's gotten warm a couple of times now, but so far it'd never gotten as hot as that screenshot. All the reviews I've seen said that this phone never gets hot, so I'm not sure what's happening here.

Not something I've experienced with my S23 Ultra. It's possible an app is misbehaving and keeping the CPU active.
Go to settings/Battery and Device Care when if it happens again and see if there are any battery or security issues.
Also you could install Good Guardians from the Samsung app store.
In the app check Battery Tracker for high usage, and also use Thermal Guardian, you can set a thermal threshold and a few options to help cool the phone down if it goes above the threshold.

Does anyone know what's causing this?
So, we cause a triple murder before breakfast, start a race war before dinner - that's uh, that's a pretty good day.
Well...I'm pretty sure that restarting your phone uses a good chunk of it's battery seeing as you are stopping everything and then re-opening it basically.
maybe you must calibrate your battery, or try 2-3 full cycle battery charging..sorry just my simple thought
worth the try,tx for the input!
Sometimes after a kernel install the battery stat is incorrectly reflected...a reboot would pick this up but as has been mentioned, give it a couple of full cycles and see if you still have the issue.
Download battery calibration from playstore and do the calibration.

[WorkAround] Delayed Notifications Nexus 4

Hello guys, finally i have found a good workaround for this issue which affect most of nexus 4 devices.
Let me explain the scenario : Leave the phone in deep sleep for some minutes and try to send a notification, you will get it delayed. Also you can try to ping your device via Computer, you will notice the ping average very high
Below the workaround. Install this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gejos.android.wakemyandroidpro
Set it like the screenshots below

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Leave the app active, you will have a wakelock every 29 seconds which wake your phone from death sleep (no notifications), without screen goes on (its an invisible wakelock)
You will notice an improvement in notifications no more delayed more of 60 seconds.
Important This app could drain your battery a bit, but still better to turn off wifi optimization which makes your battery life ****ty and android os in battery stats. Im on hellscore and im getting an awesome battery life with this app (1 day of medium usage) .Try to believe.
Cheers, Xda_Emanuel
Thank You Emanuel. Will try and report back.

History Details Battery S3 Mini

Google Traduction:
Hi, sorry if annoying truth but this seems strange truth to be honest do not know about my s3 mini, I've installed room and that but I noticed that the battery is down something fast depending on what I was doing, right now I have the stock 4.1.2 but when half load or when this something good too full battery I use the example device is typically 50% and normal use I get to see videos and play around it or the normal low battery when I'm using, when this active, but when I turn off the screen on the right button and wait 1 to 2 min, depending on what it is I've done 10% or 13% down, my I find it strange because I find it strange that when you turn off the screen passes that instead of consuming much more when I do an activity and I want to know if you happened to them or if it's normal for this device, here I place a photo seems a kind of stairs:

I've used battery calibration and nothing
Nothing?
Probably your network signal. See mine signal it's straight, no gaps like yours. It means your device keep all that time trying to connect, connected, disconected, doing all that over & over so your bat goes up very fast. Try other basebands, search on s3 mini forum, you'll find them

[Q] Is this normal battery life?

Ive seen good time remaining screen shots in those review. But i think mine is not that good enough. I have my bluetooth, mobile data, nfc, location, 4g. I sometimes on wifi for checking sites.
Ive seen 5days and 18 hrs of estimated batt time in android beat's review (and he dont turn on the stamina mode!) but mine is only 2 days with stamima mode and 1 day for non stamina mode.
Btw, this is only my first charge. any tips guys? Thanks!
Edit:
This is the screenshot of android beat. With 40% remaining, his phone manage to estimate of 5days and 18hours battery life.

First image doesn't work, please fix the tag. You shouldn't look at the estimated time, because it really doesn't mean much.

here it is. yeah I guess so I shouldnt look. But why is it like that?
Suggest the OP would use one of the many threads already in this forum to keep it clean and tidy.
No use to start a new one for each and every phone...

Can't get hole punch notification light to work?

The stock EdgeLighting and I downloaded EdgeLighting+ and I still cannot get the camera hole punch notification light to work on either the outer or inner screens. I assume the correct option would be "Eclipse" but when I press it nothing happens?

I'm using Always On Edge from the Play Store.
I've used it on past few galaxy models and it works really well, minimal impact to battery life.
Settings can be a bit tricky but it's easy enough to work out. I've raised a few issues with the dev and he always responds and sorts it really quickly. At the minute I can only get it working on either the front or inside screen, not both at the same time due to the camera placement. I've contacted dev to see if that would be something he could implement.
Use the app called Aod Notify. Perfect app.
