Hi, I have a Galaxy S20 5G FE from Verizon (SM-G781V) that I purchased while with Verizon a year or so ago. The phone is bought and paid for, and carrier unlocked. I've since switched carriers multiple times, so there's no question whether the phone is carrier unlocked. My question is can I unlock the bootloader to change the firmware on it? I really wish to get rid of the laggy Verizon startup animations, and remove all of the preloaded apps from the phone, and finally I wish to not have this notification each time I restart my phone that "The SIM is not from Verizon" (I'm well aware its not from Verizon I don't know why it always has to tell me). Thank you for looking.
This is the software info for the device.

I would also like to know. I fear it may not be possible yet, but I remain hopeful.

Ok...I bought a Tilt off of a friend of mine and decided to Flash with a different custom ROM. I downloaded and installed Dutty's WM6.1 WWE ...which is awesome! I have looked into the Connection Setup in the Settings menu and it gives me AT&T, Carolina, and T-Mobile under the Operator menu.
My question...Is my phone unlocked?
Thanks
From the looks of it, probably however you stil want to make sure. Just put in another carrier's sim and if it catches a signal, then you're god to go. If he was using the device on the T-Mobile network, then you can take it for granted that the device is unlockd.
No. There are many threads on how to unlock your phone. Use search.
Redundant Thread.
*THUMP*

Hey, everyone!
I just received my Galaxy Note 8! I pre-ordered it and my carrier (Telcel, from Mexico) gave me a DeX Station as a gift.

The thing is, when I turned it on I noticed the Android version that was installed on it was the one butchered by the carrier with a lot of extra stuff I don't want to have on it.
Is there a way for me to install the International Stock version on my phone?
And, which version should I install to have the best experience without any carrier sh!t installed on it?
Thanks.
P.S. I own a SM-N950F, Exynos, 128GB Note 8, btw.

Nope, to my knowledge the N9500 wasn't locked down, only the other Snapdragons like N950U. Exynos not locked down either of course.
Till this day I thought every Android phone can be rooted very interesting... every day you can learn something new
Not all lg and samung are locked down mostly cause qualcomm wants them that way
Kindly share if anyone has any idea about this new option in android 12 update. I click on it and nothing happens. The option goes away for some time once I click on it. Comes back after some time. What is this about. I've a Verizon Galaxy S20 FE 5G UW (SM-781V) that's most probably network locked.
P.S I've disabled all Verizon apps and many of the useless galxy apps too, maybe that's why nothing happens when I click on this option?

Hello all,
I recently bought a couple of eBay Seller Refurbished Galaxy S20 FEs to use in my switch to Consumer Cellular (MVNO that runs on AT&T towers). I believe they are from T-Mobile originally. However, with the recent decommissioning of AT&T's 3G network I have begun to have trouble making calls. They just end immediately.
Consumer Cellular advises to enable VoLTE or else calls will stop working, but as far as I can see VoLTE is enabled by default with no settings to be set.
I guess I just want to know if this is something caused by my phones or if it's more likely to be something on their end.
For more information, this is my SIM Card status screen

Upgrade the SIM to a 4G SIM and try.
