Hi all, I've been tinkering about with the P40 Pro and while its a lovelly device, the lack of access to the pay store was a show stopper. There is a really easy solution though, its the Aurora cloned Google Play Store (https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/galaxy-playstore-alternative-t3739733) which works just fine on the P40 and doesnt have all the privacy issues of Google Play....
How do you get notifications? Only a few apps provide fast & consistent notifications without hacks
Aurora store handles app updates just fine. Was that the issue you were referring to?
Hey. I want to watch TV in the car using Android Auto. For this purpose, I rooted my old phone and installed AA Stream. Unfortunately, both applications for watching TV have protection against casting video. It is also not possible to play video on these applications on Screen Mirroring and Chromecast.
Having a rooted phone, can I block information for other applications that screen sharing is on?
You have to get rid of flag secure.
I've done it through EdXposed with Disableflagsecure.
Alternative is Smali patcher, a Magisk Module https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-smali-patcher-0-7-t3680053
Thanks for the quick reply. I will try with the secure flag. Unfortunately, my old phone that I want to use for this purpose has Android 7.1 and according to EdXposed's wiki page (I can't paste link, because I'm new here) I will probably have to use Xposed instead of EdXposed. I don't know what it is yet, but I will have to read about it

Oh snap that's true.
If that phone is your primary one you might have trouble with passing SafetyNet with original Xposed though. So apps with anti root, bank apps, Google Pay, (dunno if you are planning to use it) Netflix won't work.
My main phone is S10. On this phone (S6 edge) I would only like to be able to play live TV using Horizon GO app and watch this on car's display through AA Stream. I don't care about using Google Pay and other bank services. Is the use of Xposed safe then?

By itself Xposed should not harm your device. It depends on the module you install. The one to disable flag secure is fine.
Hi
I have successfully added Google Play Store to my Fire HD 8 (2022) and downloaded Youtube Kids. Of course part of this included installing Google Account Manager, Google Services Framework and Google Play Services. However when I attempt to launch Youtube Kids I get the following error:
"YouTube Kids won't run without Google Play services, which are missing from your device"
It goes without saying Google Play services is installed on my device. I tried clearing the data and cache and also updating it still no joy. Normal Youtube app works fine and so does Google Chrome, its just Youtube Kids that is not working.
It's worth noting this Fire HD 8 (2022) is running Fire OS 8.3.1.3. I have another Fire HD 8 (2020) which is running Fire OS 7 and Youtube Kids works fine. Could it be that the new OS is not compatible?
Please Help my kids are driving me mad!
Much appreciated!

Better do fa factory reset first.

Thanks for your reply but I have done this already in that I have successfully installed google play store and even downloaded Youtube Kids, its just that when I try to launch Youtube Kids it doesn't work. Instead I get the error "YouTube Kids won't run without Google Play services, which are missing from your device" although I have installed google play services as can be seen in the screenshot which shows my installed apps.
Try installing

Having same issues. have google play installed and youtube, but get same error. "YouTube Kids won't run without Google Play services, which are missing from your device"

Those downloads no longer exist. New links?
Same problem, all other apps work, except for Youtube and Youtube kids.
When I go to install the Youtube kids apk, it says "Not available in your region".
Fixed, worked when I sideloaded the APK.. was downloading directly on Fire Tablet.
While the APK does indeed work every morning I get the same error again so i have to uninstall it and re install the apk every morning, so another fix would be amazing too while this one kinda works
I just spent 3 hours trying to get Youtube Kids working.
I really didn't want to install a dodgy modified APK, which could essentially have anything included.
Here's the solution:
- Uninstall any existing version of Youtube Kids
- Download and install YT Kids 6.37.5 from apkmirror (trusted source for original APK files)
- Open Play Store, search for YT Kids, disable automatic updates for this app, by clicking the 3 dots at the top right
This is the latest version I could find, which works on the HD 8, 12th Gen, without giving a play services error.
Because this is the legit original APK from Google, it will actually log you in, giving you access to history and other features.
Don't forget the final step, otherwise it will automatically update to a newer version which doesn't work!
(Testing as working - versions 6.16 and 6.24.3 and 6.37.5)

This still didn't work for me. Also, I didn't have a disable updates button. Instead, mine showed a check box for enable auto updates which was already unchecked by default. Any chance you could link each APK you downloaded for all of the Google stuff? I'm wondering if I clicked a wrong version somewhere.

I used the links provided above by engage4
Because I was also worried that maybe the Google files I used from another tutorial wouldn't be compatible.
The only other thing I did is to install regular YouTube from the play store, open that and select my Google account.
I did that before opening YouTube Kids.
I don't know if it makes a difference.

Thank you very much. Had the same problem and with this method it is working.
Hopefully it will work in the future also with the newer versions.
Thread cleaned of links and quotes to an APK from a shady site and in Violation of Rule 9 - Don't get us in Trouble.

I just want to confirm that this method works on the HD 8 12th Gen.
I used disabled wifi, Fire Toolbox to debloat, add custom launcher, install google services. I made sure that google play auto-updates was OFF. I then SIDELOADED via Toolbox the 6.37.5 version. I then enabled wifi, opened Google play and pressed three dots to disable auto updates. Signed in. Searched YT kids, again made sure it wouldn't auto-update by pressing 3 dots top right (DO NOT PRESS UPDATE). I then installed regular youtube, loaded it up and signed in. From within regular Youtube I clicked on my profile icon top right, scrolled down and pressed YouTube Kids (I don't think this is necessary, but since that's what I did and it worked I'll note it here).
Finally it works! Basically you can't have 'child profiles' and all that jazz, but you can declutter and restrict a fair amount and hide the browsers etc.

I'm using huawei mate 30 pro 5g emui 11
I have use google apps on it for a year, but these days it began to pop up play protect certified error and prevent me from using google apps (like google map)
I follow this instruction and https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...o-rolling-back-to-emui-test-feb-2023.4331937/ to re-install or fix google services, but it only works for 1 day. The next day "the device isn't play protect certified" error shows again (I had fixed it for 3 days).
Currently, after following these instructions, google play and apps runs normally. but checking play store - my avatar - setting - about and scrolling to the end, it displays "play protect certification device is not certified", and google apps will not run tomorrow.
do you have any ideas for it?

I think it's happened due to play service update, you can't update the play service after the install.
yesterday i followed this video
and turned off network during processes. it works for me now and play store does not show play protect certification row in setting
