Question Xiaomi turn off again Transparency on Control Center. - POCO M3 Pro / Redmi Note 10 5G

Hi all.
I updated my device two days ago to MUI 14 and the results was that Xiaomi (again) left me without transparency in the control center.
This is happened when install MUI 13 but I was able to fix easily (putting a status bar from other theme).
But this time with MUI 14 nothing seems to work.
Any work around to fix this in MIUI 14?
If I root my device, where I can find a tutorial to fix this with Magisk?
Thanks in advance for any help

Guide-How to enable double tap to wake and wake gestures on P9 Lite

Hi guys,
this is a guide how you can enable double tap to wake and wake gestures (Camera, Music,..., or custom apps) on your P9 Lite.
Somehow Huawei left the options in the system root, but made in invisible in the settings (same with many other Huawei devices). This is the same method others used for the P9.
All you need is:
-rooted device
(for rooting my device I followed this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p9lite/how-to/guide-unlock-bootloader-twrp-root-t3405701
the only thing I did different for getting SU working, was that I installed the root with the SRK-Tool and then I installed the mentioned SU-Update zip file)
-A file explorer with root access
-text editor app (I used the QuickEdit from the Playstore)
Even if this workaround worked 100% and without any problems on my device (rooted VNS-L31 on B100), your doing it on your own risk!
Step 1: Enter the file explorer and go to the root directory. Open the system folder and look for the build.prop file.
Step 2: Open the build.prop with the texteditor and search for the line ro.config.hw_easywakeup=false, now change the "false" into a "true" and save/exit the file. Just open it a again to ensure the entry has been realy changed and saved.
Step 3: Now go to the directory system/emui/base/xml, ther you open the file hw_easywakeupmotion_config.xml with the editor.
Step 4: Search for the line "EasyWakeupMotion name="Double_Touch" support="1" value="0" flag="0" keycode="131"" and change the value=0 into value=1. Again save and exit the file and ensure that it has been really changed.
Step 5: Restart your device and go into settings menu-->smart assistance-->motion controle. Now there are the options double tap and wake gestures available. You could also change the apps which are related to the different wake gestures. After activating it should be working right away. Otherwise do another restart and it should be good.
Hope everthing is working for you...I tested it now for some days and with some cases where I had to tap the display three times to wake up it worked flawlessly. There is also NO additional battery drain caused by the feature.
In addition it would be helpfull to mention which version of the phone you have, also if it's Asia or Europe etc.
Great job man
Strangely, doesn't work for me.
I can see the option and I have activated it but the phone does not wake up when tapping it

Thanks bro! This worked for me! All of your posts are useful! I got the phone yesterday updated to the latest version rooted it, Installed xposed but do you know a way to center the clock? I've tried to use GravityBox and Xblast Tools but none of the options works I rebooted the phone and still they don't do anything ugh.. I hope there will be a CM rom for this device and if you have anything else useful for this device like theming and stuff tell us! And also tell me what Xposed modules you use

Nice to here for the modding of status bar (also centering clock) I'm using the "flat style bar indicator". Which works for me. I tried the xposed version from wanam as well as the regular v86 and I experienced better performance and compatibility with the regular version. Important is to do a cache and dalvik wipe after installing new modules, reboot then might take some minutes but dont be scared
The features I'm using from gravity is on one side the setup for the navigation bar keys (you can set longpress, double press actions) and on the other side the volume to skip songs
I use "doubletaptosleep" for statusbar double tap to sleep^^
The vibration tuner for setting a shorter vibration duration. Because the notification buzz was a bit to much for my taste
and last but not least I have the flat style status bar, this module ensures that the symbols in the statusbar turn black when you have a white or light background. You also can change the navigationbar
So this is pretty much it. I attached two screenshots. I changed my homescreen to a pretty much IOS style...guess some of you might be botherd with that but I always wanted a IOS-Style phone with the android functionality.

Yes, unfortunatley it's not always working on a single double tap, but if you do a double double tap it works everytime. Couldn't figure out why its like that. Strangely the letter function is always working. Another addition is that you can enable the letter "O" as well by just activating it with value=1 and setting the "keycode=137".
The response time is, how I fear, untouchable. I guess it has something to do with cpu reaction time from standby. But I haven't seen a faster reaction by other phones which are officialy supporting this feature. But I will keep looking.

Well, DT2W is always a function that has to be supported by the kernel.
So maybe different phone versions do have different versions of the kernel.
Could you tell me which kernel version you are using? Mine is 3.10.90-g7bbea55 (May 15)
Maybe Huawei will give us an official DT2W support soon. Afaik they also enabled it late on the P8 with a firmware update :fingers-crossed:

My kernel is the 3.10.90-g9c133f1 (april 26th)....so its a different one. I hope so too, otherwise it would also make no sense to leave the coding in there rom because it only bloat it...Theres already a beta for the P9 with Android N. So lets hope for the best.
I have European version with same kernel as @Schlengge .
For me it works. Thank you @To_High !
Maybe you dont need double tap if we have fingerprint
works greate on L21 b120 rom , thanks

What about raise to ear to answer can be enabled?

Nice tutorial, but in my case it doesn't work (VNSL31 Dual Sim European, Kernel 3.10.90-g424020b).
I deactivated fingerprint, but I couldn't deactivate the PIN unlock - tried to clear credentials, but I cannot change from PIN to "none".
Brilliant works perfect thanks for the guide!

You don't have to root to use Android pay with the EU Rom. If you look at the features in the post above yours you will see they include Google certified as part of the package.

I was going to try this out today, but I'm getting the good old "10008 followed by some Chinese text" error when trying to bind my device in Developer Options in order to be able to unlock the bootloader. As far as I know, there is no working fix for that right now...
EDIT: One proposed solution is to connect to a Chinese VPN server and trying to bind it, but it hasn't worked for me (I've tried with four different Chinese servers).
Yes there is. Download plexvpn in the play store and use the Shanghai server. You will get approved right away

Thanks! I think I ended up trying ten or so VPN apps, but I wish I had tried plexvpn earlier.
Although I apparently still need to wait 72 hours (or more like 62 hours) to be able to unlock.
Glad I could help! I still need to wait 24 hours until I can unlock

Why do you have to wait, to unlock the device?
I didnt receive my device yet and it will be my first xiaomi device, thats why im asking
It's hell to unlock this phone. After you jump through hoops to finally get the phone registered to be unlocked, xiaomi puts a mandatory 72 hour wait on the phone before it can actually be unlocked.

+1 same question. ^^
My phone will arrive in round about 10 days, so is it possible to wait out the unlock time before I've received the phone?
You should try and start the process without the phone. Once you get the text you will need the phone to register it. To register it use a VPN app like plexvpn to register the phone in developer options. Use the Shanghai location. Once registered you will need to wait the 72 hours.
72h are over for me. I will unlock and flash EU rom after work.

It doesn't have the google play services pre installed but, there is a really easy way to install it
Launch the Mi App Store
Search for Google
Scroll down to the bottom of the list and select this option:
Install Google Play on Xiaomi phone
Though the results will be in Chinese, you should be able to make out the Google Installer app
Select Install, then when it has downloaded tap Open
Hit the big blue circular button to begin installing the various components
You will be prompted to allow the phone to install apps from unknown sources - select Settings, toggle on the slider, then proceed with the installation
Allow any prompts for permissions that pop up
I'm waiting for an EU / global version of this - doesn't seem to be forthcoming...

I suggest to wait longer for global or Xiaomi.EU version better than ( Chinese ) because at most xiaomi rolling it for testing before the final touch
I suggest you to keep on stock rom firmware only.
Root it with magisk. Flash it with twrp.
And everything is fine.

Question Help me in flashing to .eu room from global

Hello,
First of all, I'm sorry about newbie questions. I'm new here and haven't unlocked and installed custom rom ever.
I have xiamoi global 12.5.2 version but there are lot of bugs like expand screenshot, google dialer, spotify music control and list goes forever. I want to boot to .eu rom but i have tried following this - tutorial - Waiting for 168 hours to unlock bootloader.
I want to ask, what about updates? there wouldn't be any automatic update as we have now (although in last 6 months Mi haven't released any update on global version), and UI is full of bugs.
Also, is there any con of leaving my official rom and changing to .eu rom? any specific tool which wouldn't work after this? like maps, gps or android auto etc?
Also, what's the gaming experience on .eu rom?
One more noob question, what is difference between Recovery and Fastboot? , I'm looking to download rom from here https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/star/

Lol, i will stick with with Global.
EU base on CN rom, so it will be updated faster. But original CN rom is not for global users so u almost cant use it normally
EU fixed that problem. But it has more bugs than official global. And some people reported that Android auto didnt work
Global lastest beta stable was releases in September, so stable update coming soon.
I dont need fast update, that need a stable rom, everything works. So i prefer global rom

I don't need fast updates . I definitely need a stable rom, So do you have any fix for these issues like google dialer (call recording beeps announcement), missing spotify music control on notification bar? and if possible for scroll screenshot.
If these small and minor bugs are addressed . i would be happy on global version too. I've posted these issues multiple times in service and feedback in xiamoi but no one replies and they remains unaddressed everytime.

- call recording beeps announcement: it's the must have function of google dialer, cant do anything unless u change it to miui dialer
- spotify music control: u should try to set Battery saver function of spotify to no restrictions, and if the problem still happen, u can try to lock spotify in recent apps
- scroll screenshot isn't available with all app, and it isn't a problem of miui only

And can i root and install miui dialer? Any tutorial? Without interferencing with rom?
As you have been told, you'd better stick with global ROM, EU ROM is either more buggy and lacks performance as well. The latest global is 12.5.6 and you can push the update manually. If you want to try a different branch you must consider EEA ROM which has recently gotten the enhanced version
For long screenshot I've purchased screen master app, it works excellent. Solves one bug.
Google dialer is only major concern for me right now.

I tried it didn't work.
Anyways, i found alternative app for call recording that serves the complete purpose.
Fixed scrolling screenshot with screen master.
Spotify with lock screen app permission.
And call recording announcement with call recording tool , i tried about 10+ , only one worked out of many. In all we could listen to our own voice but not other party.
Only issue left is unresponsive touch screen sometimes specially button buttons. But i believe that is fixed in 12.6 as many users have reported here so I'll wait for that update without changing rom or anything. I can bear that.
I was warned by many experts for MIUI and that turned out of be true.
