Question How to completely disable notification shade in games ? - Google Pixel 7

Hi, while I'm playing games and sometimes when swipe near the top of the screen the notification bar shows up and interferes with the touch control. It is really frustrating.... I tried to pin the games but it only removes the text and the notification shade still shows.
I know that on Samsung phones this doesn't happen and they even have an option in pinned app settings to disable the notification shade.
My phone is rooted Pixel 7 and I couldn't find such an option to remove it in the AOSP mods app as well.

Does it help if you set up stuff in system settings -> Google -> Dashboard for games (I'm not not a gamer in any way tho and got no clue)

For the pixel there are almost no options there .

Apparently the tool/module found in THIS thread had been successfully used on the Pixel 7 Pro....
I personally haven't used it nor really read into it and only lightly perused it so apologies if it isn't exactly what you are seeking...

Anyway to completely hide the top status bar? (but still pull down for notifications)

The top status bar is a waste of space to me and quite annoying when I am browsing the web in landscape mode as it takes up precious real estate.
I would really like to be able to hide the status bar from showing anywhere on the phone (including while I am in apps), yet still be able to swipe down to see notifications if I need to.
Is there any way I could do this? Perhaps once I'm rooted or a certain rom?
Thank you for your help.
The Nova launcher (Play store) has an option to show or hide the notification bar. Touching the top edge makes it visible if it has been hidden.

Launchers (like Nova) only hide the notification bar while you are on the homescreen.
I on the other hand, want to hide the notification bar throughout the entire phone, even while I'm in applications.
Is there any way to do this?
If you can root and get xposed (which doesn't work with ART), you can install the "Immerse Me" module, which will do exactly what you are asking for.
"Precious real estate".....3/16ths of an inch? Lol
K.....I got that out of the way.
Did you Google this? For real? There seems to be some ways where you have to edit this file or that. But no guarantee it works ....and to me seems like it could cause trouble.
So you could fire up Google and try these ways.....must be rooted of course.........or you could just leave well enough alone and live with that 3/16ths of space being taken up.
Sent from my Moto X cellular telephone...
There is an app in the Play Store that accomplishes this without root called Immersive Full-Screen Mode ($1.29). The keyboard doesn't work right now, which might be a showstopper for you (I only use it for things like Play Newsstand or an e-reader app so I don't mind), but the dev is very active so the keyboard issue may be fixed eventually. It's worth a look, at any rate.

How to automatically hide navigation bar for some apps ?

Hello guys,
Here is my problem. I usually let the navigation visible by default on my Note 8. I use them all the time, especially in apps like Whatsapp, where having a swipe up gesture to make them appear is not acceptable for my experience.
But for some apps, this white bar happens to be unsightly, especially for apps like Spotify or 9Gag, which don't require a lot of interaction with the softkeys and have a pretty decent in-app navigation experience without softkeys.
I am trying to find an app to hide my Navigation Bar (the softkeys) for a specific list of app, and make it appear again when I leave these apps.
I am not talking about enabling the "Expanded Desktop mode" for these apps, but only to hide the softkeys.
Thank you, guys !
Hopefully this will help other users to settle with the same issue

No (push) notifications

Hi all,
I have recently got myself an Honor Play and now some problems have manifested.
In particular, the lack of notifications bothers me more than anything.
So what is happening is:
When I get a notification, it might turn up in notification center, but it's not on the lock screen, neither is there a badge on the app.
I've read in some threads, that the battery management might cause this issue, so I turned it off for all the apps I expect notifications from.
Still nothing. Interestingly, I do get notifications from some apps, even on lock screen, but not all of them.
I don't use face unlock, just fingerprint. I also replaced my launcher with Lawnchair and my stock swipe gestures with Fluid NG, if that matters.
I come from an iPhone, where I'm used to having notifications pop up on my lock screen or on top of the screen, if my device is unlocked.
So I would like to have the same functionality here. I did read, that EMUI hides older notifications, but that I can live with.
But having no notifications at all is kind of a problem.
Anyone got around to solving this issue?

Ok, so a small update from my side regarding this.
I'm not saying the problem is completely solved, but I would say most of it.
So coming from iOS, I was used to apps sending me notifications after I gave them permission.
However, it seems that you need to enable notifications in the settings of the app itself.
Especially news apps require that... So that fixes that.
Some apps seem to just have errors or bad implementations.
There is an app which should trigger a reminder at a specific time and I just can't get it to work.
So I would put this down to the app just not doing what it should.
Otherwise I think I have most of the notifications I need.
So the moral of the story, check all of your app's settings first ...

Auto hide navigation bar

Hi all, I have my Z20 for more than 1 year now, the nav bar always was auto hidden, until recently I started to use the Game Space and after that the nav bar is always present (except on some apps/games). I really don't like it, the screen looks horrible with it, and I searched all the settings options and couldn't find any option to do it. I also looked inside the Game Space itself but found nothing...
Anybody knows how to set the auto-hide back? Hopefully not having to root the phone or install 3rd party apps? I did activated the developer option on settings, but I don't see nothing there related to it...
Thanks in advance.

Question Is there a fix for One UI 4.1's horrible notification panel?

I'm not sure if anyone feels the way I do but I can't stand the notification panel with One UI 4.1. It's a complete mess and I often find I'll have upwards of 25-50 notifications all separate in a large list. I vaguely remember it being cleaner with 4.0. Is there a way to have it group all app notifications from the same app together? Also, is it possible to set priority apps so that those notifications go on top? I know I can turn off app notifications for certain apps but I actually do want these notifications.I just don't want them to drown out the important ones like messages. I downloaded goodlock but I only see options for changing the theme.
I've recently recieved OneUI 4.1 update on my phone. Feel the same. It's a mess. I was looking for a fix. Came across your thread.
I haven't found anything. Fortunately, it looks like One UI 5 is going to fix the notification panel.
