Wirless while connected to Activesync?

Having a problem with my Tilt. I've checked the box on the PC side of activesync to allow the device to use its wireless connection while connected, but, the Tilt still refuses to use it. Can't connect to the internet, when connected to USB.
Any help is appreciated.
I had this problem as well. There is a setting on the PC side of ActiveSync to enable/disable this.
Go to File-->Connection Settings. Enable the check box for "Allow wireless connection on device when connected to the desktop"
I have the same problem, both when connected to my home PC, and my work PC. And like the OP, I have checked the box in AS to allow wireless connectiosn on the device.
I thought that that was to allow MMS etc to continue working whilst sync'd as you have passthrough working anyway (ie you can connect to the web via activesync)?
And its not referring to wifi, but cellular wireless.
I have the same problem on a Vodafone branded V1615 - I have "allow wireless connections.." checked in the Activesync settings on the PC, but the phone is unable to connect to the internet either via the USB or by opening a GPRS/3G connection - in fact it flatly refuses to do the latter, and just tells me to check my settings.
I don't honestly know whether I should be able to connect to the internet via the USB or not - I don't know if my work network has blocked that in some way - but I don't see why, in the absence of a working internet connection via Activesync, it doesn't just open up a GPRS/3G connection. Anyone?
Any answers on this? It's driving me nutz!

Tethering without USB driver nor admin priveleges

So far I'm under the assumption that this simply cannot be done. But... /is it possible/ to establish a data tethering connection with a computer to which the user does not have any administrative access at all? (Limited user status)
So you have no usb drivers at all? Can you use wifi tether for root users or are you trying to do it thru usb?

Reverse USB tethering not working - AndroidTool?

S4 mini, Cyanogenmod 12.1-20******, Android 5.1.1, KV 3.4.0.
I have USB mobile dongle on PC(good signal) and trying to get phone to use it's internet via USB cable and Android tool
Downloaded the Androidtool zip with all the relevant files.
Phone is rooted(CM) and is set to accept root access in dev options.
USB debugging is enabled.
I have also installed Xposed 22 and the hack connectivity module is installed. All looks good.
As far as I know I must have right USB drivers for PC as all connects with USB cable and looks good.
I have tried DNS both 8.8.4.4 and 8.8.8.8 (changed them manually in ini in AT folder)
USB tunnel service is running and connected.
So AndroidTool connects fine, first time Android asks for root access etc.
I get a # symbol in status bar on phone and all looks good. However no app will connect to internet. Tried chrome, Android browser, ClashofClans and a couple of others.
Any ideas why not.?

Launch Android Auto on USB connect without unlocking phone

I would like Android Auto to be available directly after USB connection has been established. Right now I need to unlock my phone before I can select Android Auto on my cars head unit. Optimal would be that the phone does not unlock, but simply just lets the car communicate as what is needed for Android Auto to work.
Also it would be nice if phone "unmutes" automatically if muted before USB connection made. Or if possible to unmute on cars headunit.
This is because my phone is placed in a location in the car where it is difficult to operate when connected to USB.
Not sure if I am clear in my question, but please feel free to ask for further info if needed.
Regards, Lars.
If this isn't happening by default (it does on my devices), check Android Auto (Phone) > Settings > Connected Cars, your car should be "accepted".
If this still doesn't do it, you'll likely have to use Tasker, or change the USB settings on the phone itself

Android Auto USB Mode errors with Galaxy S10 on 2018 Honda Civic Si,

I've managed to get Android Auto operational with my S10 and 2018 Civic. Initially I had trouble with it but some info on Google that suggested it was related to the USB connection mode and it was suggested to switch to developer mode, enable USB Debugging, and then USB Tethering as the default connection style. This worked initially but for whatever reason is does not remember the setting. Even if I select it as default. Every time I remove the phone from the USB or turn the car off and reconnect I am required to pull down the notification screen, select, USB options, and reselect USB tethering.
For whatever reason my selection of making the USB tethering the default connection type is not sticking. It's a pain in the butt to have to reset it every time I hook the phone up in my car.
Any ideas how to fix this?
