Hello, i use firefox sometimes but Firefox haves squared Window Controls like windows XP, it's not like chrome that haves normal window controls on windows 10, how do i enable old window controls on firefox?
I have firefox 113.0.2, NO ESR
window controls are minimize, maximize and close
Gecko is the layout engine developed by the Mozilla Project and used in many apps/devices, including Firefox and Firefox OS, not Chromium what is a free, open-source software project created by Google and used by most today's browsers such as Chrome.
It has it own system of windows, its indepent from WDDM. (it still requites it

When tapping start in wm 6.5, normally opera browser is there.
Yesterday, its icon was replaced with the adobe reader icon but still had the name opera browser. I opened it and it opened adobe reader.
Today, it has the remote desktop icon but the opera name. Tapping it opens the remote desktop application.
What can I do to fix this?
What's the browser like? Does it load pages quick enough and does it reformat the text when you zoom in to a forum post.
I've had the DesireHD for two days but miss the integration with a desktop media manager, e.g. iPhone and iTunes.
The browser is very quick though, almost a quick as a desktop browser.
Personally I've found the browser to be pretty quick and nippy but it doesn't re-format the text upon zooming. Having said this, it tends to make the text of the main body of each page bigger so it's easier to read with less zooming.
And as for the other aspect of integration - it's definitely well integrated with the OS. I'm generally pleased with it anyway, just waiting for Flash and Silverlight now...
Is it possible to use MOBILE VIEW in the browser, so pages are shown as in OPERA or any other browser?
Any rumours about other browsers for WP7
Origami Experience and Splashtop work well together
running windows 7
its like having a virtual/fake windows tablet
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyID=AC349E84-C109-4AE7-A973-411C1DE2457F
you can add your own backgrounds too
I know I'm a bit slow sometimes, but what does this have to do with the G-Tablet or Android? (other than the backgrounds?)
Splashtop Remote desktop is for Android
you can fully access and control your PC
origami provides a more usable touch screen friendly Environment
than using the windows native desktop appearance
so it looks more like a tablet desktop on my gtablet
the images above are how it looks on my android gtablet when connected to my windows Pc with splashtop
and i find it easier to use for my windows media library etc than trying to use the native windows desktop
WoW!
Thanks, Bubble2!
This is GREAT! I have been waiting for some time to play a game called Carcassonne on my gTablet. I have a PC version of the game, and now, thanks to your post, I am able to play it using Splashtop.
One question though. I have windows 7, but when I tried to install Origami, it said the install was not successful. So, I am using Splashtop without the benefit of Origami. Any suggestions? I will try to install Origami again.
Thanks for the info.
Nice. I'm using LogMeIn Ignition to access my pc now but I like the looks of this. Thanks for pointing this out.
Okay, so I checked it out. The Origami Experience piece is what you install on your Windows PC to give it a tablet UI interface. The Spashtop is the actual Android remote access app. Combined you get an interesting experience, but it's not mandatory that you use both. You only need the Origami piece on your pc if you want to see a tablet UI after you've remoted into your Windows box.
All in all it's visually interesting and does let me stream media better than LogMeIn Ignition but that's not what I really use remoting for so for me this app is just okay.

I had the same issue, but I was able to install Origami v2.0
I am unable to post URLs, but search for Origami 2.0 download and you should be able to find it on Microsoft's site.
my first install did not work too(just remembered)
Origami did not appear in programs( taught i did something wrong)
so i installed again and then it appeared in programs
not sure why it needed two installs but it worked second time
when "Origami Now" is running in background but your on your normal desktop
i noticed a slide down tab(widget) at the top of desktop that lets you open Origami
so its nice shortcut too

Made a simple script that changes vnc desktop server resolution to the resolution of the Tab S8 Ultra, since you cant specify the resolution from Android.
Now you can do work on your PC from your Tab S8 Ultra in full screen not zoomed in or cropped.
How to use:
1.Create a custom resolution of 2960x1848 on your PC.
2.Place the exe on your taskbar.
3.Login to your PC from your Tab S8 Ultra and run the exe.
When you disconnect from the vnc the resolution should return to default on your PC.
Troubleshooting:
1. If you get a blackscreen make sure to set Use default color settings In Graphics control panel.
2.Also try setting Gsync to Full screen mode.
Tested on Windows 11 running TinyVNC Server with VNC Viewer - Remote Desktop app by RealVNC Limited.
If you run Windows you can use Windows built in remote desktop function and then use Microsoft remote app to connect to the pc/server. It will give full resolution

Windows remote desktop has high latency and not as clear as running a vnc. Also it's slower, doesnt enable D3D drivers. doesn't scale properly.
That's why i prefer vnc.

Disagree used it and i got hardly any latency on mine.
It's always good to have options. I wish Google would finally allow setting up Chrome Remote Desktop as a host on Android, but oh well.

Microsoft RDP is factually faster with lower latency because it doesn't need to send across an entire video image. It is able to update only the parts of the screen that are being changed.
Also VNC compression algorithms are outdated and slow compared to newer tech like Parsec and nVidia gamestream through Moonlight. 30ms latency over internet on Moonlight beats the pants off VNC and RDP and it also has full game support as well as full S-Pen support. Parsec is a somewhat close second.

Tested all of the solutions you mentioned none of them work properly with the Tab S8 Ultra Keyboard Book Cover.
While gamestream and parsec are fast they are not meant for remote desktop and work in general.
With Moonlight you can't even control the mouse.
I just went back to Microsoft RDP since it has the least issues but not perfect.

Hmm maybe keyboard cover is limited as I have used both a bluetooth mouse and keyboard and a third party keyboard cover. Go into moonlight settings and select the cursor mode you wish to use. Parsec is definitely meant for remote desktop and working.
But either way I am glad you left VNC, because out of all the solutions I meantioned it is the worst. Moonlight being the best, but I guess the keyboard cover is buggy with it

The reason why the touch pad on the keyboard book cover doesn't work properly is due to Samsung using weird binding keys which remains unrecognized by Moonlight and Parsec.
Also It would be nice if there was a way to disable alt tab natively so that when you press it, it registers only in the remote desktop app so you get the full experience.
But yeah right now RDP is the only working option If using the Keyboard Book Cover although it's slower than Moonlight.
