[QUESTION] Magisk root on p10?

Hello,
Has anyone tried to install root with magisk on p10 with safetynet verified?

Tell me more because i tried to flash v12 also through TWRP, all goes fine MagiskSU and magisk v12 looks checked in the status tab but when I turn magisk hide on safety net fails. Maybe I need to relock my bootloader after installing magisk? How did you manage to make it work?

Google has made some updates in the last week or so that causes SafetyNet to fail. We will have to wait until @topjohnwu gets Magisk V13.0 ready for stable release before most can get SafetyNet to pass again.

I have a P10 lite and a root them. But when magisk say false when a I try to pass SafetyNet. How I can fix it?

9.6.20 Dev Global Beta doesn't pass the SafetyNet: cts fails

Why last 9.6.20 doesn't pass the SafetyNet?
I have cts fail and so problems with playstore and app. Mi9 is all stock, no root, bootloader locked. Installed this 9.6.20 through fastboot rom.
So is it a problem in this last that will be solved in the next update? Or? What i need to do?

I updated via OTA. No problems whatsoever. Maybe try previous beta and do the update via OTA too.

mmmm good to know But you were initially with Global stable and then Global dev from recovery? What was first version of Global dev?
It's a strange problem because i simply flashed the fastboot rom 9.6.20 so all should be working

Are you talking about the dev ROM or the EU ROM? If you're talking about the official dev ROM, that will never pass safety net.

Well, I had the same problem as yours - cannot pass safetynet check. Then I made decision change back global stable version and everything back - pass safetynet check, pass root check when adding credit card by downgrade google service.
The development version seems to keep update the google play service and it would make unexpected result.

The Global Developer Rom. But it's strange, i know that many used the Dev rom like daily stable rom so it's a bit strange what you say.
If i flash Global Stable and then update to Developer?

There is no solution. If you want to pass safety net, use the stable ROM.

the same for me. Safetynet does not pass on this week's beta. my card has been removed from Google pay. I went back to the previous rom and everything works again.

Rom bêta dev global 19.6.13

Development Rom exists a lot of uncertainty factors would impact safetynet check. If you want to use google pay, I recommend you switch back stable Rom.
If you want to root your device after switching back stable Rom and enjoy your favor tweak to enhance your phone function as well as google pay, must keep your eyes on google play service.
New version of google play service would make you cannot reactivate your credit card because system would say root detected even how you hide root in magisk. The working one solution is to downgrade google play service version to 15.x
Search in section of magisk discussion board in xda and you will find the way how to fix it.

I was on global stable but couldn't flash beta without unlocking bootloader so had to do a sideload with the XiaoMiTool. Intial was something like 9.3.x but not 100% sure. Was a release from like 4 weeks ago iirc.

magisk + smali patcher + pokemon go

alright im trying to get spoofing to work on pokemon go.
Firs im running:
- Galaxy s7
- Sm-G930w8
- Android 8.0.0
-samsung exp version 9.0
So i followed a link that explained how to flash TWRP. I got that installed on my custom rom.
Then i moved to this link https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/module-smali-patcher-0-7-t3680053/amp/
And followed all the steps. And then i got a ERROR: mock location class not found
So i found somewhere that my service file was not deodexed properly so i used smali/baksmali to deodexed my service files that worked like a charm came back to smali patched and browsed to my file.location and tried to run it and still got the same damn error.
What am i missing here.?
Need help a bit lost and stuck been reading alot but can seem to find what is causing this error...

Okay i tryed to spoof on pogo and i did it
I have an samsung galaxy s9+ rooted android 10 one ui 2.0
How i did it?
First root ur phone with magisk
Then install smali patcher with mock location and signature spoofing -> turn smali on in magisk
After that download fake gps joystick and set it as mock location in dev option open fake gps joystick and Go to quick options and download custom markers
After that go into fix GPS jump to reap location and check fix 1, 2 and 3 on now go into settings and enable A-GPS reset
And that is it.
This works for me without teleporting back to real locations
And i hope it works for u to

Thank you man, I was struggling two days to make FGL Spoofer system app on my android 10 and 9 without success. Just tried your tutorial and worked like charm on my Xiaomi MI A1 with latest Android 9.

I just recently updated my ROM to the latest Pixel Experience which is still active for Asus ASUS Zenfone Max Pro M2 (X01BD).
Everything is fine and smooth after installing the rom. i didn't find any bugs. Even Pokemon Go is running fine.
After installing magisk then setting up the "Hide the Magisk app" and adding PoGo on the DenyList, it kepts on saying "Unable to authenticate. Please try again." every time i open PoGo.
can anyone help me on how to run PoGo?

Semi Custom Rom features | S20 FE 5G | SM-G781B

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone else out there has had some luck customising there S20 FE 5G variant stock rom whilst waiting for a possible custom rom built?
Here I have a few screenshots of my current setup with modules installed, Oneplus Launcher, Viral icon pack, EdXposed and magisk with Safety net check PASS.
Any suggestions on what else can be done for now or even questions and ide be happy to help out.
One last thing, if someone had a fix for the Warning on Boot message you get that would be great, I have tried searching for a Boot animation fix/workaround without success.

Thats also something else I am looking into, its just images files afaik. So the trick use for the S20 should work on the S20FE - there is a thread on XDA and I just need to get around to trying it out.

Nice set-up! Is the Nova Launcher highly responsive? I've tried a few & the Oneplus I'm using at the moment is great, extremely fast & easy UI with great features..also pairs well with the Viral icon pack from Playstore.

No, the launcher feature was removed in Android 11 I think?
That's why we have to use a module called "Quickswitch (Android Pie+)" to get the feature back.. root's easy with the build feature in Magisk provided you have the BL unlocked that is..

I think I've tried that method if it's the up_param.tar method using adb shell/cmd & I was unsuccessful in my venture lol I think our model has a different file placement/format compared to that threads OP, maybe wrong?
I've tried finding the .img files using root Explorer without luck, would be great to get some help with it then ide be happy using stock with magisk for now, systems fast, efficient & no SW/HW compatibility issues.

Which SafetyNet pass file did you use? I tried the one that said it was fixed for S20 fingerprint data, but it made my FE bootloop.

I didnt, once you root most android devices, they wont pass Safetynet.

The name of the file I used is I t he pic attached...also I figured out that if have any xposed variant installed alongside Magisk, you need to have Xposed Hide enabled & Safety Net check pass too otherwise you'll get a fail!

One last thing, make sure to have aging hide enabled & also clear data for you Playstore app after rebooting.

The SM-G781B is the 5G European version right? Does that one come with OEM unlock available
Ps- is this one worth getting over the other 5G versions?

I read yesterday that you won't pass with EdXposed, using LSposed apparently changes that.

I dont need or want Google pay on any of my devices. If I want to pay for something I use my debit/credit cards.
I havent used Lspeed in a long while as it kept causing unprodictable instabilities on the devices I put it on.

LSposed is an alternative to EdXposed, it's a module that uses riru or however you spell it

Comdirect photoTAN app detecting root

Since version 8.3.0 additional measures to detect root have been added, do not update as MagiskHide won't be able to prevent detection. Until a solution is found I would recommend staying on the previous version for as long as possible.
Finding out what exactly is causing the root detection is beyond my technical abilities but I would provide as much information needed to those willing to help.

also stcpay yesterday is updated to 1.6 and started to detect my magisk canary (22105)

I can confirm what swour says.
on Android 9 and 11, my magisk root is recognized, magiskhide is active and the phototan app is added.

Yes this is a serious problem. I used xposed magisk and x privacy... Latest comdirect tan app detect all...

I have already applied the update. The easiest method is to wait few days for a magisk fix, right? I would can wait few days, no problem. I have an absolutly clean Android 8.1 build on the phone for banking. It's crazy that the bank is make it so difficult for us to use a save own build.

I don't think so, there is at least one other app that shows the same behavior.

i updated stc pay yesterday to 1.6 and it found my magisk canary (22105) the think i notes is the (isolated) is added to the app !!!

I have a ZTE Blade L130 with the old photo tan app, that is my rescue. But you can't activate the old one. But it's keep working.

I had to unhide the app in magisk hide and hide it again, after that it worked.
