I am from India and i have AT&T Note 3 unlocked variant.
I took a new connection- Reliance JIO. I am sure most of you guys must not be aware about it but it only works on VOLTE.
Inserted the sim today and found that data (Internet) is working fine but unable to make incoming and outgoing calls.
Reliance JIO uses a app called JioJoin which actually makes calls through VoLTE.
I tried going to *#*#4636#*#* and i have selected LTE/GSM but still unable to make outgoing calls.
Is there any rom which i can install where VoLTE is working fine?
I am using [ROM]AryaMod V8.3 TW Lollipop For ATT [Port] and developer has clearly mentioned that VOLTE is not working.
Please help.
Does VoLTE work on a stock rom? The 900a supports the carrier lte frequencies?

I don't think custom ROMs on N900A support VoLTE. You can use Jio 4G voice though...
I have Sm-N900S with arya mode Note 7 v2.1 custom rom how to get volte in this rom for jio sim I am using jio voice for call but this is irritating app

I dont have solution for your query. But i am in need to root & load custom rom on to my SM_N900A. Do you have instructions and files needed for this? I had some issues in the past as listed below:
I earlier installed lollipop and i experienced signaling related issues as most of the time the phone says "emergency calls only"....so i flashed it back to 4.4.2 based on the instructions listed in XDA. still i am experiencing same calling issues.
so, i thought may be i should flash a custom rom which might fix these issues and tried this tutorial and got following error:

after this, my phone stuck at boot logo, so used ODIN again to restore back to 4.4.2, but this time i see a "custom rom" logo in addition.
Now, what i need help is, can i fix this issue of "emergency calls only" at most of the times? if the signal is too good, then the phone works!!! appreciate any help.

sekhar, you can't flash a custom ROM to a 900A, only a modified Samsung 900A ROM.
Second, you flash a ROM first, then you root it. Rooting first, then flashing a ROM, flashes an unrooted ROM (unless it's rooted, in which case you didn't have to root it first). It's the ROM that's rooted, not the hardware.
The "custom ROM" issue is because there are still signs in the phone that there had been a custom ROM in it. You could install Xposed, then install the Wanam Xposed app, and set the ROM to "normal".
Install oxygen os or open beta latest. Then insert the jim sim only in slot 1. Slot 2 must be empty. Den after the network is shown, dial *#*#4636#*#*. In the menu that comes up, select network as LTE only. See whether volte icon is der at this stage. Now after this install the custom rom.. Dont insert the second sim now. After installing the custom rom and getting to home screen , see whether volte is working. It will work. Now insert the other sim in slot 2. Keeping the jio sim in slot 1. Volte will work. If you plan on using any other new sim.. make sure u first put it along with jio first. Jio should be in slot 1. After this only u can shuffle the sims wid the slots.
This method worked for me in every custom rom and volte will stick after reboots also.
Works on oneplus 3. Should work on 3t also.
You dont need to do this each time you flash a new rom. Do this if volte is not working or when you change from oos to custom roms.
Guys I need help with my phone Le Eco Le S3 x626 . Bought from Geekbuying and using it in India. But I am using Jio sim here. Volte not working normally.Works only after removing and reinserting the sim. Could somebody else help me with this problem....
Is the phone on Eui 5.8 rom ? You could try updating to official stock EUI 5.9.23 or 5.9.26 rom. Search the forums for the upgrading guide and links for download.
Facing the same issue with le 2 X526. I'm on custom Oreo ROM...volte is not working. Jio net is working only after reinserting the sim. I tried with different custom ROMs. Still same problem.. can anyone help me on this?
Hello this is what I have done in my mtk phone.
But I think yours is snapdragon chipset.
First of all enable volte in sim settings .
Enter engineering mode
In IMS
Common
MNMCC CHeck
Keep it as off
Then back
Operator code
Choose VOLTE_Operator_NSN
Then Set.
Worked for me ...

Why is the VoLTE provisioning option not active when you access the sim card menu. Any assistance will be much appreciated. My carrier supports VoLTE. Current O.S Oreo 8.1.0 April Security update.
Yes same problem. Not sure if there is compatibility test whith the operator to have have this option in the menu.
Someone told me that webhave to wait for the next android update to activate tgis option. Not certain though.
I think to activate volte your carrier must first verify it and it will update. Then only you could use. My previous phone had the same issue until a new update pops up and mentioned volte for my carrier is now supported

As it is a 4g phone.
I tried many things, editing setting database , editing build.prop, flashing mtk volte patch.
I also tried custom ROMs, but no luck
Is there any way to enable volte on this phone?
