How To Guide Unlock bootloader / Root Poco F5 pro - Poco F5 Pro / Redmi K60 (China)

Hey guys, i'm sharing how i rooted my phone, hope it helps someone !
Requirements : - A good usb cable (the one that comes with the phone works)
- A pc
- Android USB Drivers ( https://developer.android.com/studio/run/win-usb )
- SDK platform tools ( https://developer.android.com/tools/releases/platform-tools )
- Xiaomi unlock tool ( https://en.miui.com/unlock/download_en.html )
- The ROM (seek for the same version you have, check region also) ( https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/archive/miui/mondrian/ )
- Magisk ( https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk )
Preparing files : - Extract the platform tools folder and put it somewhere
- Extract the rom folder and put it in platform tools folder, for ease of use
- Create a folder "Tools" (or whatever) and put in Magisk
- Extract xiaomi unlock tool and put the folder in Tools
- Make a copy of your magisk.apk but rename it to magisk.zip. you should be able to open the file like a zipped folder
Unlock the bootloader :- Reboot your phone to bootloader :To do that, you need first to unlock dev settings ; - Go to your settings
- Go to About phone
- Spam click "MIUI Version" until it asks for code/schema/etc
Now you should be able to see dev settings !
Preparing android : - Return to last settings page
- Go to Additional Settings
- Go to Dev Settings
- Turn "OEM Unlocking" on. don't worry, you're not bricking your phone (yet)
- Add your xiaomi account, either with the xiaomi account on the main settings page or just go to MI unlock status just below and they'll ask you to connect to your account
Now you're good to go !
Unlocking your phone (disclaimer : it factory resets your phone so make a backup) - Turn your phone off
- Turn it on again, but while pressing VOL.-. You should see fastboot in orange on your screen
- Connect your phone to your pc using your power cord
- If it isn't done, install the usb drivers to your phone ( https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/897374309952126986/933062038081650769/USB_Drivers.mp4 )
- Launch MiFlashUnlock.exe, which should be located in platform-tools -> Tools -> MiFlash unlock if you followed the guide
- Follow instructions (Make sure to connect to the SAME account as your phone), and click unlock !
- Now either your phone is unlocked, or you get to wait 7 days. if you need to wait, There's currently no way to bypass it. You just need to wait this time (and maybe a little more to avoid accidentaly resetting the countdown) and retry unlocking.
Root your phone : - Reconfigure your phone, and allow file transferring in miui
- Grab Magisk.apk and magisk.zip in platform-tools -> Tools and put them on your phone
- Grab the boot.img located in platform-tools -> (name of the rom) -> images and put it in your phone
- Install magisk.apk
- Launch magisk, click the install button and click patch, give it the boot.img you put earlier
- Grab the magisk-patched-(something) in your Downloads folder (in your phone) and put it in your pc
- Shutdown your phone, and put it in Fasboot mode like for unlocking bootloader
- go to platform-tools, and launch a terminal in it
- execute " .\fastboot.exe boot (name of the patched magisk image " it should boot into your OS like usual
- Launch Magisk app and go to Modules
- Click Install and grab Magisk.zip
Voilà ! after the needed reboot you should be rooted permanently, enjoy !
Feel free to post below if there's problems, errors etc. First time writing a guide but hope if helps !

NOTE: Key files are signed with a Digital Certificate from skipsoft.net but some ‘may’ get picked up as potentially harmful by Antivirus Programs and deleted. They are not harmful, this is a false positive given because of the compiler used. If this happens restore the file and exclude the folder from future scans to use it. This seems to happen mostly on AVG Free and Norton. If you are using the Auto Update feature on pro versions then you will need to disable the AV program or exclude the folder from scans before running the update again.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PUBLIC (FREE) AND PROFESSIONAL (DONATE) VERSIONS?
THE PUBLIC VERSION OF THE TOOLKIT INCLUDES EVERYTHING YOU COULD NEED TO MANIPULATE AND ROOT YOUR DEVICE.
ACTIVATING THE PROFESSIONAL VERSION ADDS THE MOST USEFUL FUNCTION IN THE TOOLKIT, THE ABILITY TO CHECK FOR ‘AUTO UPDATES’ DIRECTLY VIA THE TOOLKIT AND HAVE THEM PUSHED TO YOUR PC RIGHT AWAY AS SOON AS THEY ARE UPLOADED WITHOUT NEEDING TO DOWNLOAD THE WHOLE TOOLKIT EVERY TIME. YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE THE LATEST VERSION AS SOON AS IT IS MADE AVAILABLE. THIS MEANS SMALLER UPDATES CAN BE SENT OUT MORE FREQUENTLY, SUCH AS ADDING A SINGLE FUNCTION, FIXING A BUG OR ADDING COMPATIBILITY FOR A SINGLE CARRIER. THE SMALLER UPDATES WILL BE COMPILED AND RELEASED TO THE XDA COMMUNITY AS A FULL (PUBLIC) DOWNLOAD VERSION SO PROFESSIONAL VERSIONS ARE ALWAYS UPDATED SOONER.
THE PRO VERSION ALSO ADDS THE ABILITY TO CHECK FOR THE LATEST VERSION OF SUPERUSER AND RECOVERY FILES AND DOWNLOAD THEM DIRECTLY TO THE TOOLKIT.
THE ‘QUICK PICKS’ SECTION[/B] ALLOWS YOU TO PROGRAM UPTO 10 SLOTS WITH TASKS THAT YOU MAY PERFORM ON A REGULAR BASIS OR JUST WANT TO KEEP A SET OF TASKS IN 1 PLACE. THEN JUST SELECT THE SLOT AND IT WILL REMEMBER ALL YOUR SETTINGS FOR THAT TASK AND RUN IT.
PRO USERS CAN ALSO SELECT THE “ANY BUILD” OPTION IN THE BUILD SELECTION SCREEN TO ROOT ANY BUILD AS LONG AS THE VERSION IS SUPPORTED (USEFUL IF YOUR BUILD IS NOT LISTED).
MORE IMPORTANTLY DONATING SHOWS YOUR APPRECIATION AND ALLOWS THE TOOLKIT TO CONTINUE TO EVOLVE AND GROW.
YOU CAN ALSO NOW UPGRADE TO THE ULTIMATE MODE. ONCE THIS MODE HAS BEEN ACTIVATED YOU WILL BE ABLE TO UNLOCK ALL DEVICE MODULES (PRESENT AND FUTURE) AND WILL NEVER HAVE TO BUY ANOTHER PRO CODE AGAIN.
AUTO REPLY LINKS FOR PAYPAL TO GET A CODE INSTANTLY CAN BE FOUND AT http://goo.gl/nyGqv
--------------------------------------------------------------
PLEASE READ THE *HELP* PAGE AT http://www.skipsoft.net/?page_id=1269 OR USE THE INFORMATION SECTION WITHIN THE TOOLKIT IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS. I HAVE TAKEN A LOT OF TIME TO WRITE IT AND SOMETHING ON THERE SHOULD ANSWER 99% OF PROBLEMS.
--------------------------------------------------------------
1. INSTALLING ADB/FASTBOOT DRIVERS
The first thing you need to do is to install the adb/fastboot drivers. These are needed so that you can unlock your bootloader, root your device and perform other adb/fastboot functions.
THE DRIVERS CAN BE INSTALLED DIRECTLY VIA THE TOOLKIT. OPTION 1 IN THE MAIN MENU.
If drivers are not installed or there is an exclamation mark next to the device:
Plug the device in to a usb cable directly connected to your motherboard.
In the Device Manager a new item, usually called Android 1.0 should pop up in the list.
Right click on the device item then left click on Update Driver Software. Select 'browse my computer' and then 'Let me pick from a list'.
If no adb interface driver appears in the list then untick 'Show compatible hardware' and find the Android or Samsung adb interface driver.
If you cannot find either of these click Have Disk, browse to the Toolkit install folder, drivers folder, click on android_winusb.inf and click Open.
Click OK and select Google ADB Interface.
Make sure you have USB debugging enabled in settings, developer options. In Android 4.2.2 or later you have to enable the developer options screen by going to settings, About on your device and click on Build number at the bottom 7 times until it says You are now a developer. If you have already enabled usb debugging then unplug/replug the usb cable.
On Android 4.2.2 or later when you replug the usb cable after enabling usb debugging for the first time you will get a popup asking you to authenticate your pc. Tick 'Always allow' then click 'ok'.
--------------------------------------------------------------
2. USING SKIPSOFT UNIFIED ANDROID TOOLKIT
When starting the Toolkit you will first be asked which device you want to work with. Working folders will be created and the device files downloaded. You will then be taken to the Model/Build selection screen where you can do a number of things (other than select your model/build): Type '00' to enter your activation code and enable pro features if you have one, 'dr' will allow you to install drivers, 'i' will take you to the Information and Help Section, 'a' will give you information on how to add support for a new build.
Supported builds are listed in the Model/Build selection screen and typing the associated number (i.e. 11) will download needed boot and recovery files (stock and custom recovery) then check for and download the latest superuser files available and custom recovery (pro versions only), verify all the files and start the Main Menu. You can now use all the functions and tools the Android Toolkit offers. Pro users can select the "any build" option to root any build (useful if your build is not listed).
--------------------------------------------------------------
USEFUL INFORMATION

**FAQ**
Q: How do I enable Developer options?
– Go to Settings from the apps drawer
– Scroll Down and Tap on About Phone or About Device
– Go down to the Build number section
– Tap on the Build number option 7 times
– Go back to the Settings screen
– Scroll Down and Tap on Developer options (just above the About option)
Q: I get an error while trying to unlock the bootloader -> FAILED(remote: oem unlock is not allowed), what now?
Starting with Android 5.0, on certain devices you need to enable Bootloader Unlocking from the developer settings, in order to do that, follow these steps:
– Enable Developer options (go to Settings, About and tap on Build number 7 times)
– Enable USB Debugging (Settings, Developer options)
– Look for the ‘Allow OEM Unlock’ or ‘OEM Unlock’ Option and tick it
Q: When I boot in to TWRP it asks me for a password
Android 5.0 Lollipop brings new security features like encrypted data. TWRP for Nexus 5X, 6, 6X and 9 is able to decrypt all the data using “default_password “. This allows TWRP to decrypt the information without any problems.

Enjoy, Mark.
The Sunshine group have released a bootloader unlocker for Verizon/EE carrier devices that ship with a locked bootloader. This makes it possible to unlock the device and use it how you want to. I will add an automatic process in the Toolkit later to run the bootloader unlocker but I won't add the app itself to the Toolkit as they asked for it not to be redistributed.
Keep tuned.
Mark.
Im in the process of writing an automation routine to use the toolkit to unlock the verizon/ee locked bootloaders. If anyone has a locked bootloader and wants to test it please let me know in here and I will send the file to test it. Also if anyone HAS used depixel8 can you tell me how long it took from running the file to it rebooting to the bootloader. Just trying to set an approximate time for the Toolkit to wait until giving an error message to start again.
Thanks, Mark.

[ HOWTO/GUIDE ] <ROOT> how to root (most) android devices

Hey everybody,
As y'all can see: I'm new here
I found a way to root (almost) any device...
THIS ONE WILL TRIP KNOX (on Samsung devices)
Code:
I'm not responsible for any damage to your lovely device. If you continue in reading this and actually doing what I say, you accept my terms of me being able to laugh in yo face when you say I turned your smartphone into a potato... even if this means you didn't go to work because your timer didn't go off... lel
Needs (resources):
- laptop or pc (DUH)
- odin >>> just google it and you should find it
- a custom-recovery file for your specific device (must be odin flashable) >>> can be found on XDA (here where you are reading this *lol*)
- the universal root-package.zip >>> attached :good:
- Data cable >>> I recommend using the cable that came with your potato :silly:
- some time ( )
What ya gotta do:
0. Make sure your bootloader is unlocked >>> if you forget this or you just don't wanna do this (y?) Your data may be formatted when flashing
1. Place the update-supersu.zip file on your phone's storage (better would be sd card but okay... BTW you can choose... it's not like it HAS to be on the phone's storage)
2. Run odinV3 as administrator
3. Boot you phone into download/odin mode >>> power off > power button + volume down + home key OR power button + volume up + volume down
4. Connect you phone to your pc/laptop
5. In odin's live log it should say: device connected
6a. In the AP slot: put your recovery file
6b. Make sure to disable auto-reboot in options of odin (IMPORTANT)
7. HIT GO!!
8. ONCE DONE FLASHING DON'T REBOOT... reboot into recovery IMMEDIATELY ( VERY important > if you perform a normal reboot you gotta do this all again ( your uprooted system will replace the custom recovery with its own recovery if you didn't successfully root ))
9. In recovery allow modifications
IF YOUR RECOVERY ASKS TO ROOT YOUR PHONE PLEASE, PLEASE DECLINE
10. Hit the install button in your custom recovery and search for the update-supersu.zip file > select it
11. Install it > you should see some stuff happening
12. Once done hit reboot system now and let it reboot >>> first reboot may take some time... let it go and don't speed up or reboot Becuz it may break... once again not my fault -____-
13. Look for supersu... if it's installed > you probably successfully rooted your device * please confirm with a root checker \[°^°\]
Hope this was helpfull... it is my first tutorial
I want to get into making custom kernel and ROMs but I'm limited in resources ( this dooz doesn't even have a pc... -_______- ) but if someone knows how to edit a stock rom or edit boot.img files > TJELL MJEH
-Dylan ( I'm actually 14 years old duuuude )

[guide] Update Nougat Flashing Method P9 Lite

UPDATE TO THE MOST RECENT VERSIONS NUGAT
FLASHING METHOD
HTML:
- An advert! The Flash phone can have bricks. I'm not responsible for that:p:p.
- If you are not sure, do not make any changes and you can leave this forum:confused::confused:.
- This method uses a modified stock recovery that does not verify the files.
- It serves to update firmware, as well as update, but not to do Downgrade MM.
- also serves to perform rebrand changing cust.
- make copies of data and applications.
- I will not explain how to unlock the bootloader and install twrp, there are many tutorials.
- with this method the bootloader will be blocked again.
EXPERIENCE
- my compilation was VNS-L23C605B342 and update to VNS-L23C605B385 (demo video)
- being in VNS-L23C25B I changed from cust REBRAND, to compilation VNS-L23C605B385 (demo video)
REQUIREMENTS:
- activate OEM unlocking from developer options.
- Unlock the bootloader.
- install recovery twrp P9 lite nougat
- download the firmware finder.exe to download the updates
- download the firmware of your compilation and / or rebrand compilation
- Download the HWOTA file and unzip.
- minimum battery of 50%
PROCESS.
FLASH UPDATE
- unzip the file HWOTA.zip
- download the firmware of your compilation (settings / about the phone)
- the firmware is three files in the update.zip, update_data_full_public.zip and update_full_XX-LXX_hw_xx
- the latter "update_full_XX-LXX_hw_xx" there are usually several L21, L01, etc. just download one and it will depend on the cell model.
- If there are not three, it does not work.
- Rename the firmware as follows : update.zip, update_data_public.zip, update_all_hw.zip
- copy and paste the renamed files into the "HWOTA" directory.
- the HWOTA folder, copy and paste in the external memory.
- turn off the cell phone and boot in recovery twrp.
- change to external memory.
- find the HWOTA folder and flash the OTA_catuva21.zip file
- the cell phone will automatically restart
- and start updating let it finish
- if for some reason it remains on the black screen, or sticks to the huawei logo
- perform hard reset (press the volume more and power, and perform both wipes)
- CONGRATULATIONS UPDATE YOUR ANDROID.
REBRAND
- unzip the file HWOTA.zip
- download the "VNS-L...C...oeminfo.zip" (it's a flasheable file)
- download the firmware, this depends on the brand you want to change "VNS-L...C...oeminfo.zip"
- rename updates: follow steps 3 to 8 of FLASH UPDATE
- Create a folder in the external memory and paste the "VNS-L...C...oeminfo.zip" of your selection.
- turn off the cell phone and boot in recovery twrp.
- change to external memory.
- search the folder oeminfo and flash "VNS-L...C...oeminfo.zip"
- DANGER DANGER:crying::crying:

[guide] update nougat and oreo flashing method p8lite 2017

UPDATE TO THE MOST RECENT VERSIONS NUGAT AND OREO
FLASHING METHOD
HTML:
- An advert! The Flash phone can have bricks. I'm not responsible for that:p:p.
- If you are not sure, do not make any changes and you can leave this forum:confused::confused:.
- This method uses a modified stock recovery that does not verify the files.
- It serves to update firmware, as well as update to Oreo, but not to do Downgrade Nougat.
- also serves to perform rebrand changing cust.
- make copies of data and applications.
- I will not explain how to unlock the bootloader and install twrp, there are many tutorials.
- with this method the bootloader will be blocked again.
REQUIREMENTS:
- activate OEM unlocking from developer options.
- Unlock the bootloader.
- install recovery twrp P8 lite nougat
- download the "PRA-L...C...oeminfo.zip" (it's a flasheable file)
- download the firmware, this depends on the brand you want to change "PRA-L... C...oeminfo.zip"
- rename updates: follow steps 3 to 8 of FLASH UPDATE
- Create a folder in the external memory and paste the "PRA-L ...C ..oeminfo.zip" of your selection.
- turn off the cell phone and boot in recovery twrp.
- change to external memory.
- search the folder oeminfo and flash "PRA-L ... C ... oeminfo.zip"
- DANGER DANGER:crying::crying:
- when finished flashing DO NOT REALIZE REBOOT SYSTEM
- return to the main screen.
- select reebot.
- select bootloader and automatically restart in fastboot mode.
- and as you will see the bootloader is blocked.
- unlock the bootloader with your code (if it is in red, just unlock)
- once unlocked it will boot in recovery twrp.
- search the HWOTA folder

You really gonna laugh at me. I was rebranding my huawei PRA-LX1 and I already unlocked the bootloader. Successfully done all firsts 9th steps but when I had to unlock bootloader I figured out that I didn't keep the bootloader code from the last time... Then as the website is under maintenance I had to call huawei support, not open during the week-end in my country... During these days stucked in bootloader mode, it runned out of battery and powered off. I finally get the bootloader code from huawei but when trying to unlock I get "Wrong password" from fastboot. I tried to update via dload method but it didn't work I have no idea what I can do to fix it. Are there any chances to unbrick my device?
Thanks,
Nathoufresh
Sorry for my bad english

QPST_2.7.474.zip
QUD.WIN.1.1 Installer-10037.3 Setup.zip
Just use the standard settings and click on OK, next,
1.2 OPEN DIAGNOSTIC PORT FOR THE SESSION FOR QPST (WINDOWS CMD ADB)
cd C:/adb
adb devices
adb shell
su (you need to add root permisions on android screen)
setprop sys.usb.config diag,serial_cdev,rmnet,adb
1.3 Once The Port is up you can use your Qualcomm Tools.
1.4 For example you can change the VOLTE/VOWIFI settings with PDC Tool
Select your device, right click on "Commercial" and deactivate Sub0 and Sub1
Click on Oversea-Commercial_DS again and click on remove -- DO NOT CLICK REMOVE, JUST DE-ACTIVATE IT - your settings stick after a reboot, so no longer need to remove the profile (at least on my device my profiles stick, also makes it easier to go back to default)
## FORCE ENABLE VOLTE AND VOWIFI BUTTONS IN ANDROID
cd C:/adb
adb devices
adb shell
su (you need to add root permisions on android screen)
setprop persist.dbg.ims_volte_enable 1; setprop persist.dbg.volte_avail_ovr 1; setprop persist.dbg.vt_avail_ovr 1; setprop persist.dbg.wfc_avail_ovr 1

Since last 20.1.9 update lost ecryption in twrp. Installed the latest 3.3.1.1.perseus. since then got loops to twrp. But if i try to launch
fastboot boot C:\mimix\twrp-3.3.1-1-perseus.img it boots to the system.
How to fix it?
dont want to use my PC to start the system every time.
Regards
Most probably you get bootloop, because after the update the partition was encrypted, you need to either flash DisableForceEncryption_Treble.zip or make a backup and install fresh OS with the guide from scratch,
