Hi ,I have a Chinese rom Redmi note 12 pro plus, I managed as far as unlocking boot loader and tried flashing global rom but it has bricked it and stuck in boot loop and can't reset either, any help would be appreciated
Looks like you have locked the bootloader again. Try unlocking it again.
When flashing a new rom make sure to select "clean all" and NOT "clean all and lock" which is the default selection.

Does it not boot to fastboot mode? Volume down + power?

Yes it does it start to boot up then goes straight to fastboot
Fastboot is exactly what you need. Connect it to a PC in fastboot mode and unlock the bootloader using the Mi Unlock tool.
For further help visit the redmi note 12 forum which I have linked in the post above.

What do you think I could do to unlock?
As I said, try unlocking the bootloader using Mi Unlock tool. Give it a try even if you can't boot the phone to system.
And post your question in the redmi note 12 forum.
Hello , success thank you for your advice
Phone did not like the first global rom so I tried India global rom and it worked

Hello,
I bricked Mi 8 SE with locked bootloader and no recovery... After Mi logo, a message "The system has been destroyed" appears.
How can I flash the stock rom without waiting for unlock permission? Is there any way to enter EDL mode without opening the device?
What you did?
Tried to change from stable to dev with xiaomitool. Now only fastboot is available but it's useless with a locked bootloader. Perphaps I can restore the device with mi pc suite? It's does not seem to recognize the device though

If you can access to Fastboot then you should be able to install stock miui fastboot rom. You can find the rom here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-8/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-2-0703-t3812600
Instructions for fastboot installation: http://en.miui.com/a-234.html
Sorry I overlooked you are using Mi8 SE. In this case you should wait official stock fastboot rom. The rom will be available on official en.miui.com
Hi
I have the same problem
you did not find a solution?
I have already opened the device and tried to download via EDL MIFlash
But it did not work out
the error always appears ERROR: Only nop and sig tag can be recevied before authentication.
and after the "You are not authorized to Download !!!"
In my case, I was able to boot the device by typing "fastboot continue" in fastboot mode (if you see the offline battery charging screen do it twice).

Hi,
1 week ago, i tried to relock my phone with the famous and dangerous command "fastboot oem lock", but my phone is rooted and after enter this command, my phone restart and show me "The system has been destroyed".
After that i tried to flash a room with miflash but my bootloader is locked, i tried also to use edl mode for flash but when i try to enter into edl mode with fastboot, this is reboot me and show me the error "The system has been destroyed" again.
Every day 1 week ago i try news ways to fix my phone, i try to go into a repairer (non official), but he said he can't do anything for me.
I thinking about resend my phone to xiaomi because i buy it some month ago, but i think because i buy it with amazon and not xiaomi official site, he can't do anything also.
So i'm here for asking your help
Thanks you very much
Not to sound rude but you're in the wrong forum, this is for the Redmi Note 9, not Redmi Note 9 Pro
Here's the right one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-9-pro/
Also for your problem you're never meant to use 'fastboot oem lock', and instead use Mi Flash Tool to flash the stock MIUI rom AND lock your phone back in one go.

PLEASE HELP!!
I just hard bricked my wife's new Redmi Note 10 Pro!
I bought the Chinese version and got the bootloader unlocked, and then tried to replace it with the global Rom from the official website.
In the process I kept receiving an error: "Mismatching Image and device error ".
I followed a couple of tutorials and this particular seem popular, where I had to delete some lines in the .bat file.
After that the flashing process started but halfway an error appeared again. After several attempts I decided to restart from Fastboot mode, and this was when I realized it had bricked.
Now I can't go to Fastboot mode and I keep getting Vibrations but a dead screen.
PLEASE HELP

When you flash things (usually boot.img) it will lock it again
just check and confirm if its still unlocked
plug in your device and do adb reboot bootloader

unfortunately for me my screen wont come on
Usually Its just stuck in engineer/ edl mode
So not to worry but try flashing using sp tools
Put your phone on charger for now
Then
If your phone not getting recognised by pc, unplug and wait for a 6-10 seconds and plugin again or plug in and hold Power+ Volume down or up button till pc recognises it, this will be handy later
here's a guide to flash via SP tools, or you can follow a youtube video to guide you along step by step

No way to know what parts are missing. You can reflash your current ROM or the original ROM via fastboot.

If your bootloader was unlocked you can recover the device via fastboot.
If not you have the same situation as described here:
Redmi Note 10 pro stuck on Mi logo loop after update
I tried wiping my data, but no success. I tried mi flash tool but no scucces. My bootloader is lock. I can boot into fastboot and recovery mode only. Safe mode also loop into logo only. can anyone tell how i can flash stable rom.
forum.xda-developers.com
Interesting to see that several people are reporting bootloop after upgrading to MIUI 14.
My advice to anyone is to unlock the bootloader before upgrading to MIUI 14 to avoid having a brick, which you can't recover by your own by just flashing.

Thank you.
But could you please explain what you mean with "waiting"?
I assume that you mean the seven days until Xiaomi grants you the possibility to unlock the bootloader, right?

I agree with regards to this device.
But usually it is not a problem.
With regards to this device I see from two other people that they are facing a bootloop when updating to MIUI 14.
I also did the update and my device ended up in a bootloop.
But I had unlocked the bootloader in advance and could recover the device by flashing.

That is actually very easy. There is a tool. Mi_Unlock-en-5.5.224.24. you will need to- (a) go into fastboot mode(Switch on by pressing power+volume down) (b) Connect phone via USB Cable. Have the proper drivers installed. (c) Launch Mi Unlock tool and login into Mi Account. (d) refresh to search phone, select and press unlock. Takes a couple of seconds to unlock the bootloader.

Unlock the bootloader by following the solution described above .
Download and install MiFlashtool 2017.4.25.0.
Download a stable fastboot ROM suitable for your device and place the unzipped folder in the same folder as MiFlashtool C:\xiaomi\XiaoMiFlash
Boot device into fastboot mode and connect.
Flash the ROM. Just it.
