Hello, when I use my phone, Magisk randomly uninstalls itself at random times. The Magisk gets reinstalled after i reboot, but its kind of annoying. Is there a fix?
my bad i just disable auto update and it fixed lol

Just wanted to see if this has happened to anyone else. It was either after root, or after installing Xposed, or after installing SuperSU and disabling KNOX, but occasionally my device just resets. It at completely at random times too, but usually it does a quick freeze before it happens. For example in the most recent occasion I closed a tab in google chrome, then it lagged for a second, then just reset. The time before that I just swiped my homescreen to the left and it did the same thing.
Actually mine was doing this before I rooted. Had to be an app we have on our phone or something.

Strange.. I wonder what I installed.
It happened again today, but this time I was driving in my car and it was sitting next to me with the screen off, then suddenly I notice it's at teh AT&T Logo rebooting.
This also started happening to me after rooting and installing a few mods e.g. Xposed, Viper4Android, etc...it hasn't happened since I tried switching to ART (it didn't want to switch, but all sorts of small things were fixed)
My BT turning off after start. It happens at the very end of booting - BT disappear after all widgets are done (after calendar widget appears which is my last visible boot app).
I think it's has started since I enabled Shallow Hibernation and Aggressive Doze.
I tried everything - disable greenify, uninstall supersu, xposed and about 20 apps (which I might install lately).
It doesn't happen on my other TWRP backups - so it is software not hardware.
I cleared data of Bluetooth Share, too.
Bludroid_timer makes my bluesleep won't let device to go to deep sleep (37% in BetterBatteryStats)...
Is there any way to reset bt? in build.prop or delete some BT files? maybe flashing some BT reset zip in TWRP?
Is it possible to save a boot log and see what app/process disable BT after start?
Hello friends!
I installed Magisk and obtained root using Canary and the magisk_patched.tar method.
Now the phone restarts randomly. I have a slight feeling that a reboot is more likely to happen when I tap the power button especially when the screen is asleep -- but it is highly variable.
Is this a known issue?
Any thoughts about what could be causing this and how I may address this?
Thank you *SO* much!
be well.
Accidentally installed canary build instead of stable and device went unstable and rebooted randomly.
How often does it reboot? I have the same problem, usually once - or twice - a week. Maybe it's the same thing. I'm pretty sure I use canary, too.
It seems to happen most often when Google Play Store is updating apps.
So i try to make a magisk module with a google apps, but the things became weird. The permission not activated and the GMS Core keep crashing. The GMS Core gonna crash in a few minutes and keep crashing after multiple time. After a few minutes since it last crash, its working perfectly like things never happen, but if the phone rebooted it will start crashing again. Anyway to fix the problem?
Background - switched from xposed to Edxposed to get Google Pay to work. It does now work but caused buggy side effects.
1. System soft reboots directly after a manual boot completed but is then okay usually if left to settle.
2. Screen says always on, will not respond to display settings options set to 'off' after 1 min. It will off by power key, just not auto off.
3. One xposed module does't work at all (Niwatori One Handed Mode). Xposed Edge and Gravity work fine so far.
I have 2 devices, an LG V20, LG G5 both on Oreo and both exhibiting exact same problems. 1 device uses Edexposed Manager, the other Edxposed Installer. Is installer now obsolete?
So the One handed Mode is the biggest problem. Is there a way to look under the hood to fix a non working module? If I could fix the other problems maybe I could find an alternative app for one handed mode.
Okay well "HiddenCore module" (xposed module) was causing the screen to stay on. As I said I just installed it cause I saw it thinking maybe it was necessary for Gpay. Turns out I uninstalled it, the screen will now auto off, and Gpay still works.
Only issue now is the soft reboot after boot completed. Not a huge deal, maybe it will be resolved in an edxposed update, although I am now using the latest Canary alpha, alas no change.

That thread is saying something about using a modified build of magisk. Did you try that and do you know where to get it?
edit: I'm using latest magisk 20 version.
The Edxposed Manager Canary release fixes this for me
