For me miui 12 is better than the older miui 11. Miui 12 have a cool UI design(i hope smooth too)
Here's list of cool improvement MIUI 12
1. New Animation
MIUI 12 supports Android 10’s quick change app gestures. I think some animations are really annoying punch
2. Sumperman
3. Control panel
If you don’t like this style, don’t worry. There is a setting for you to return to the old style. Unfortunately it doesn’t support functional Android notifications in 2 interfaces.
4. Floating Window
This may be the biggest feature of MIUI 12. You can open applications on the screen small and fix them to the corners. In fact, similar features are available on OneUI and Android 10/11. MIUI developers have developed the floating bubble app that came with Android 10 a bit more.
Pull down the application suspension notification and instantly transform into a quick small window. Drag a small window to the side to transform into a small window. Know everything, chat for a day without delay.
I'm pretty scared of it can be laggier than the previous versions...

Could you give me a link to MIUI 11 Android 10 please?

Hahaha lol
I installed MIUI 12 (Xiaomi.EU) on my Redmi Note 7 and it's very laggy, animations are cool but slow on our device. I hope this problem gets fixed on Stable MIUI 12 but I don't think so.
Hi guys, why Miui 12 beta isn't for our device? Developer is stopping, anyone know why?
Tried xiaomi.eu's version av MIUI12 for lavender and it was the laggiest ROM I have yet to experience. Was utterly unusable... Went straight back to my favourite MIUI11 (20.1.21 beta). WAY BETTER. Will wait and see if MIUI12 will ever be suitable for RMN7...

Because they've used the 20.4.27 build (lagging, a video on Chrome will crash your systemUI, randomly) instead of the 20.4.28 (which has some bugs, random reboot included, but way better than the previous build), i've installed back MIUI 11, actually (13/05/20) the untouched China Beta of MIUI 12 works better than the Xiaomi EU build.

just a stupid doubt, it's possible to update from 20.4.27 (MIUI12 EU) to 20.5.13 (MIUI 12 CHINA) over a dirty flash ? I have no time these days to backup my internal memory...

I don't really know, maybe (both are based on China Dev, maybe you can), you'll surely have some apps/services broken, if you're unlucky your device will not boot at all, a clean installation is better (actually a mandatory) in this case, in my opinion.
If you wanna risk and try please report your results here, maybe other users are interested

I gave it a try yesterday evening with a clean wipe. Full wipe ( dalvik / cache / system / vendor / data ) plus format data ( internal storage ). Nice rom, english language is not a problem. But I got 2 random reboots in 1 hour

I'm honestly disappointed with the frequency of rn7 updates. Very sloppy work by xiaomi. They focus on selling and don't support sold phones so much. Typical Chinese business style.

Yes, i'm a fan of this brand but they're just bad with uodates, i had all of the Mi A series devices (A1, A2 and A3), Android One project from Xiaomi is the worse thing you can actually buy, at least they care about MIUI, but After the Redmi sub brand the situation is terrible, few uodates, slow Major releases, higher prices (device by device, at least in EU), let's see if Xiaomi will be the new Huawei.
Hi all,
i am on Pixel Extended, based on Android 10, i would like to pass to 11, but actually my A2 is my daily driver, so i am a little scared .
In your opinion, which is the most stable rom based on 11 have you tried?
Thank you all in advance.

If you need a stable daily driver, I can only advise you to stay on Android 10 until 11 gets out of alpha phase.
Slowly features will come to 11, of which you for now will probably miss one or another in comparison to your Android 10 ROM also.
Switching to a ROM in such an early stage isn't something I would generally advise against.
If you are willing to accept bugs and can live with a minimum of features, installing and reporting about alpha / beta builds will immensely help development.
But you said you need a stable daily driver, so, yey.

Well, in the first phase of a new android release all ROMs
- Are basically the same (pure aosp with different branding)
- Have no additional features to pure aosp
- Will have many issues to sort out in general and for the respective device (like bugs, fast draining, random reboots, inconsistencies across versions).
- Might conflict or not be fully compatible with third party software (gapps, Magisk, any random app).
Any of these points might be the case still, so I wouldn't advise anyone expecting a stable daily driver to use android 11 for now.
None of these points has to apply though, as time for development passes.
If you want to urgently try out an 11 ROM and you don't heavily depend on your phone's functionality, why not do it? I also did it (and moved back to 10).
The question anyone should ask him- or herself though is: Which advantages do you expect from it?
That is, other than a higher version number...

Thank you for all those informations. I was hoping Android 11 would bring more functionality, stability and smoothness, but it seems to me rather the opposite. There is also no more security patch for Android 10 looks like. Everyone is working on Android 11.

What I'm saying isn't android 11 specific, but counts for every instance in which a new android release comes out.
It has been the same with android 6 and 7, then with 7 and 8 and so on.
Android 11 might bring functionality, stability and smoothness. But it is too early in development to expect all of this just yet, is all I'm saying.

Nushantra Projekt 2.9
Octavis os
Dot os
Pixel experience
Arrow os
Havoc os
Lineage os 18.1
Cheriss os
Hycon os
Derf fest R
Pixys Os
Stag OS
Nezuko Os
if you don't mind OSS vendor based ROM, ArrowOS is good without deep sleep problems, for MIUI vendor go for latest OctaviOS 2.5 or Nusantara project 2.9, also no deep sleep problems (tested on 12.0.14 base with 12.5.1 fw flashed)

One advice : just stay with MIUI if you need battery. Custom ROMs battery draining is unfortunately just (badly) insane.

How is battery life
9-10 hrs. SOT 120hz , negligible idle drain
I think after the update there's no need to do a custom rom right now as their miui is quite stable right now. The battery management has also been optimized after the new update so doing a custom rom wont be very useful now but thats upto yourself, Im'm just giving my opinion.

- always on 10 sec is terrible !!! i losing all notiification
- if remove this with trick dev option don't work gesture for screenshot
- if i use for navigation tom tom amigo not work in background
- is not possible separate volume level for notification ang ringtone
- caffeina is missing
- volume bluetooh in car is very very low
for my opinion is unusable (aos is the worst)

sadly 11.0.8.0 does not support Widevine L1 - I had it installed for about 4 weeks now (Battery life is okay, sometimes Rom is a bit buggy). I will return to 12.5.5 again and decide on which one i will stay.

I just tried it yesterday and it is pretty damn good on battery life. Idle battery drain was about 1% after 13 hours, compared to 1% every 45 mins or 1 hour on HavocOS (A11).
I think A10 ROMs are still better optimized for our phone.

Is that 8 hours from 100% down to 0%?
So about 4.8 minutes per 1% drain then?
No rom for this phone works as well as miui 10.3.5 based on android9. All others(stock miui 11,12,12.5 and xiaomi.eu roms) get progressively slower. Xiaomi.eu roms do better than stock but it still does not work as well as 10.3.5
What is the best custom ROM to play asphalt 9 with good battery optimization and a good camera?
No all rom are the best at all but it is good in their own way (developer at that rom) so do not ask irrelevant Questions. Btw in Telegram have a lot of rom for spes if you will find it in Telegram
