Hi everyone!
After my Redmi 9 crashed, I performed a reset. To transfer data, I used a Google account linked to my Google Pixel device and imported it to my Redmi 9. On my Google Pixel device, I enabled the night light feature, which changes the screen color to orange during the night. Surprisingly, after importing the data to my Redmi 9, it also activated the night light feature, similar to the one on the Google Pixel. However, I cannot locate the night light settings on my Redmi 9. Can you help me guys how to disable this feature?
I did find a similar feature on the Redmi 9 called reading mode, but turning it off does not affect the night light feature.

I have been using a Note 3 pro with android 6, and works perfect with AA, but now, with a Note 6 Pro, AA show half sized, with black stripes up and down, and touch screen does not work correctly.
I have been reading a lot of forums about it and seems that Xiaomi does not have any solution, only wait for Pie !!
All phones with Android Oreo have the same problem. F1, Note 5 pro, Mi 8, Mi 8 lite, Mi 8 SE...
Any other solution ?
It really sucks, my new phone and I can't use with AA.
Same boat as you... Xiaomi Poco F1: black bar without any icons on the car's display, car display flickering some times, and unresponsive phone lock screen until force rebooted... I'm already running a custom Rom (not MIUI) with Android Pie, so Xiaomi's 'wait for Pie' recommendation I'm afraid won't fix the problem until they decide to really look into this issue...
So I don't know if it's been talked about or not. The night mode on the Note 9, inside the settings, only has the On/Off option.
If you go inside developers options, there is an option for auto on/off depending on time.
I tested it out today and works great. Night Mode turned on about 5:30pm

Yeah it has. Night mode has been a constant source of reported problems during beta builds. Had issues with Android messages turning it off.
in soviet russia, night mode keeps users in the dark while phone reads your mail.
On the official beta build for the Note 8 N950U1, there's a custom schedule for night mode, just like blue filter.
Let me grab my Note 8 and I'll post a screen shot.
Here's the screenshot from my Note 8.
The settings for Display type are different too. Still have the same options (adaptive, cinema, basic, etc) and the RGB sliders, but it just looks more polished on the Note 8.

Funny and weird that the Note 9 and the S9/S9+ is so different
Thanks for the finding! I was hoping we get this, but kind of knew it's pointless to me - ever since I went black, I just can't go back.
I've tried bloody everything under the sun to try and get Google assistant to work from standby (a feature that I loved in my redmi note 9 Pro) does anybody else have this problem?
do you mean without turning the screen on?
that would be quite cool

Yes, i've always been able to do it, from my Redmi 5 plus to my last phone, Redmi Note 9 pro..even my GF can do it on her Mi 9.
I think it's a problem with Android 11, but can't be sure unless i get feedback from other users...I've tried all google setting (including the personalisation by ticking all boxes) tried everything in MIUI to no avail...it's a brilliant feature as i used to be able to just ask the time in bed/set an alarm etc without having to wake the screen...especially useful if you can't find your phone, just say 'ok google' and you can usually hear it!
Whenever i try it on my RN 10 pro, my RN9 Pro chirps up instead acting on behalf of it's much thicker bigger brother.

I always thought it was for security reasons one cannot do so
maybe 'trust' can work. check with headphones after approving as trusted device

Do you mean it's not accessible on your device?
I've used my headphones in the past but that was just part of it being open normally.i.e it shouldn't matter as i don't always have my headphones connected for it to work.
As i stated it can't be for security reasons as i've had this feature on previous Xiaomi phones (and my GFs phones as well) it's just the RN 10 pro...i'm wondering if it's because of Android 11?
So i installed unofficial pixel experience custom rom on my redmi 9 and theres a setting always on display and it works but the brightness is very dim how do i fix that
Hello everyone and thanks for all your time in advance.
My problem is, i think, pretty complexed. I searched each forum, did everything i could to find solution and failed.
Problem:
After MIUI 12 update i have this weird lags which, after diagnosis, seems like come from MIUI Launcher. Lags are everywhere but with every hours after 5th or 6th since restart/changing launcher to nova and back to miui launcher/changing dark mode to light mode and back, they're getting stronger and stronger.
I found few solutions but mostly they were connected to APP VAULT:
1. Unistall updates, clear data and cache
2. Turn on APP VAULT and remove everything from notifications, especially Video
3. Turn off APP VAULT
For many people it helped but sadly i'm not amongst them.
I tried to not to do factory default but 3 days ago i decied i don't have time to these lags. I did factory default and without BACKUP i installed most of my things in memory. It's not much because i have like 30GB of total space used (128GB version).
In the same day i did factory default i noticed lags after some time (~5th hours of usage). It started with laggy animations on closing SMS app (Textra or Google Messages) and spreaded like virus to everything else.
What's most important lags are only in situation when i use FULL SCREEN GESTURES. When i use on screen buttons i don't have any lags. They are also not present in other Launchers. The sad thing is i don't want to use buttons. I like gestures and i got used to them so changing back to buttons is not an option.
The fastest temporary solution to these lags (after factory default because before it didn't work) is change dark mode to light mode and stay that way or just use dark mode again. It helps just for few hours and lags come back, stronger every hour.
I think there are few solutions to my problem but i don't really like neither of them.
1. Downgrade MIUI to version 11 (not single lag was there nor on 10)
2. Change to miui.eu (debatable because it doesn't have to help)
3. Change to Custom ROM (least needed option because there are always something BAD about them)
4. Sell phone and buy anything else but Xiaomi
It's my 3rd Xiaomi device and first so powerful and so problematic. Redmi Note 4 served me well for 4 years, Redmi Note 3 Pro for 2 years. In my company i have many Xiaomi Devices and only Mediateks are pure trash. Snapdragon ones (mi9lite, redmi note 8 pro, redmi note 8t, mi11, redmi note 10 pro, redmi 4x, redmi note 4, redmi 9t) work as their owners want. No problems so far even on MIUI 12 and full screen gestures.
