i have enabled usb debugging and oem unlock, but still can't detect it.
help please (sorry for my bad english)
Try the basics. Different USB port on the PC, different cable, update USB drivers on the PC. Apologies for the accent in the video, but you can find others similarly on Youtube that show you about looking at your USB driver components.

Hy guys,
I was trying the other day to flash a friends Galaxy S stock 2.2 but i couldnt connect the phone to the pc. In the pull down menu, it didnt appeared the dialog to click to go for usb mass storage or anything.
I've selected USb Debugging, clicked in the options for USB Mass Storage, and when i connect the phone to PC and cable, both play the connected sound, but still nothing more. What could be the pb? and how can i solve it?
Pleaaaaase help

Reboot your phone and computer then try to connect it again. If the same issue, then look at this post and see if it will help. I have also uninstalled the drivers, rebooted the computer and then install the drivers again but not HTC Sync Mgr.

nothing works like i said before already try in other computers win 7, winxp etc, always "unknow device" already try whith the las versions of HTC Drivers, in win7 and other computer whith xp, always apears like unknow device in device manager, like i said before in fasboot mode says only "fastboot ac".
Before stop working in one chance, connects and disconnects constantly without me touch the cable and and suddenly stop working

If you have not done it already, try wiggling the mini-usb cable to see if it improves anything. Is the phone charging? It might be a hardware problem, I have read in some other post that it is the motherboard. Sorry, I can not think of anything else.

Yes i try to move the cable in the side of the micro usb, and 5 Or 6 diferents cables, and yes, the phone only charge.
Its very strange because I bought the phone used and only works one day and the second day lost the connection to pc when in try to unlock the bootloader, the first time no connected and suddenly work, I can only unlock the bootloader and stop working.

Try to clean the phone's contacts with a little rubbing alcohol and/or compressed air. There maybe lint or dirt on the contacts preventing a good connection.

Unfortunately that link does not work anymore. What was on it?
Asking because I got an m7 here where USB works just fine and reliably in both fastboot and recovery. But when the system (any ROM, tried more than 10 now), there's only charging. No MTP, no nothing.
Laptop's `dmesg` says:
Code:
[150266.816544] usb 2-1.5: new high-speed USB device number 16 using ehci-pci
[150266.935189] usb 2-1.5: New USB device found, idVendor=0bb4, idProduct=0c02
[150266.935193] usb 2-1.5: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3
[150266.935195] usb 2-1.5: Product: Android
[150266.935196] usb 2-1.5: Manufacturer: HTC
[150266.935197] usb 2-1.5: SerialNumber: XXXXXXXXXXXX
(1-2 seconds...)
Code:

Lovely community,
I'm trying to instal a custom recovery (TWRP) for my mi 9t pro.
However, although it does charge and fastcharge, it doesn't get recognized by my computer (or any other computer I've tried).
It only shows "unrecognized usb device".
I figured this would be a driver problem, so I reinstalled drivers, even forced a driver instal through device manager for this device but somehow it still doesn't show. Unfortunately, without a pc connection, rooting my phone gets really hard.
Ofcourse USB debugging, etc. are enabled.
I'm out of hope or ideas, maybe you guys could help me out here? I've been struggling for over 7 hours so far ahha so I figured I should ask for help.
Thanks in advance!!

Obvious things to try at first are changing the USB cable, trying different USB ports on the computer and, if possible, trying a different computer.
A poor quality or damaged USB cable is often the problem with these types of issues. Followed by a dodgy USB port, that's had a lot of use, on an older computer.

Hi Robbo,
Thank you for the reply! I've tried multiple computers, ports, cables and the usb port has been replaced so that shouldn't be the problem either... any other clues?

I assume you are using Windows 10?
Normally, connecting the phone to the PC, with the standard USB cable, Windows will automatically recognise the phone and install the required drivers without you needing to do anything? After this adb and fastboot should recognise the device without any further input.
Try removing the phone from Windows device manager and then plugging it in to the PC and see if it can automaticallyinstall it's drivers successfully.
Hi, I have a question. I upgraded to A12 and from then, when I connect my phone to the PC through USB it did not recognize it. I try different USB cables but still the same. Maybe samsung have new drivers?
I tried various USB cables, uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, in the development options I have USB debugging enabled and the default USB connection option for file transfer and tried on several computers and still nothing. I have no ideas what to do to make the phone discoverable again.
hmmm mine works.. have you checked the USB settings? make sure Use USB for "Transferring files / Android Auto" is selected.
