Do anyone have any information about when the redmi 9 source coad release?
The source code aside, looks like the Redmi 9 is late to the party even for MIUI 12 global beta. Only China dev is available. Even the Redmi 9c already has a beta. The problem is Xiaomi has saturated the market this year in a reaction to Realme and it doesn't help when it comes to things like releasing source code so early like it used to be. This year the Redmi 9 series alone has at least 3 or 4 different devices! Recently they released the Poco M2 which is basically the same as the Redmi 9/Redmi 9 Prime or whatever they call it

As I knew that all of them has one name board ( Lancelot), Anyway the way of xiaomi recent years is being annoying .
Codenames are different. Redmi 9 (lancelot), 9a (angelica), 9c (dandelion). 9a and 9c use Helio G35 while 9 and M2 use G80. Maybe Xiaomi wanted to first release the Poco M2 (gram) before releasing the source code since their Poco brand is developer friendly with the device identical to the global 9 or 9 prime in India.
Redmi 9 ,redmi 9 prime, poco m2 all are same device but different name.
Why xiaomi do it?
To make sure the Indians think that Poco-labeled devices have nothing to do with China =]]
I remembered reading a while ago that Android 11 was being internally tested on the Mi9T Pro. A few MIUI update lists showed the Mi9T Pro should get Android 11 based MIUI12.
It's a strange one because, whilst the Mi9T Pro has had it's 'two major Android updates' in-line with Xiaomi protocol, it was on 9.0 only very briefly and the device is still very new. Has the device been dropped for 11 support or is it just delayed? Any information on it?
From a telegram thread I read that internal testing of A11 for Mi9 and Mi9t Pro has started.
So, we're quite hopeful to get A11. But, Miui12 with A11 seems very unpolished till now so maybe a delay is good nevertheless.

Download: Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro are getting Android 11 update with MIUI 12
Xiaomi has started rolling out the Android 11 update with MIUI 12 to the Mi 10T and the Mi 10T Pro. Head on over for the download link!
www.xda-developers.com
I installed the rom and has been testing it for 2 days and I don't see any problem, it works fine even on my 10T Pro
I've been running this for about a week on my mi 10t pro.
I factory reset after installing and started afresh.
Mostly, it's good but I'm finding both the app launcher and the Chrome browser not very smooth at 144mhtz

yes, especially the app drawer
On mi 10t launcher runs Luke at 30 frames per second, it looks terrible even in 144 hz :/
i am using old version miui global 12.0.7.... no problem here fast as hell everything
Old version also have buggy app drawer.
My p30 in 60hz is smoother than mi 10t on 144hz (app drawer).
Hi,
I use the latest 12.5.1.
All right, much better like the android 10, the only one "big" problem to me, that I can not use the full gesture navigation in Nova Launcher 7 (beta). As I heard, this is google limititaion so only the stock launcher have right to use the full gesture navigation.... On android 10, worked fine....
Hi guys,
Sorry in advance as this might be an obvious question. I have only put a custom rom on my Poco F3 once before but back then its forum was very active. Is there any indication whether a Lineage OS rom is even coming for the Poco F5 pro?
I love my Lineage OS rom on my Poco F3 and I would love to install it on my F5 Pro!
Could be. It might be a year later though.

When custom ROM and a broad development community are needed the Poco F3 still rocks.
I also have both devices (F3 and F5 Pro) and I'm a bit disappointed in many aspects of hardware, software and community support for the new model. It's basically same user performance experience when compared F3 Vs F5 Pro with much higher price tag.

Current Xiaomi.eu builds can't stable handle the Poco F5 Pro (Global Version)'s modem. Many issues reported.

It isn't!
Already tested in four different devices.
Try to download the latest 3D and Antutu's version from developer site.
Poco F5 Pro Global version lacks a lot features when compared with Redmi K60 China... CPU, Screen, Modem, GPS, Battery and still counting.
ONLY THE PRICE TAG IS HIGHER

in another post, there's someone that said he's trying to get LOS20 to work on mondrian
though custom roms usually takes 4months/a year for them to release

I'm not sure about the Poco F5 Pro, but there is development going on for the Poco F5. Previously, I was thinking of buying this device, but the Poco F5 does have a headphone jack, so I'm changing my plans, plus I work on every device I buy. The kernel source has been released, and the device tree is in progress.

Hey, if you have some time to spare, could you teach me/link me some guides on how to build custom roms ? Would really want to begin supporting my devices myself and share it with people

WTF, who told you? It depends on the developer; they couldn't own every device; plus, the cost of servers, the Internet, and devices is a lot, and in return, they get nothing. if you don't want to wait to work on the device when your own resources are already out there.
Check the PWM thread on this forum (mondrian) and check the second-last message, it says litterally that he'll try when he has some time

Due to the removal of microSD expansion compared to the F5's spiritual predecessor, X3 Pro, and w/ a cost increase for having to obtain an iteration with more internal capacity as a result (since 128GB doesn't cut it w/o microSD card expansion), and w/ Xiaomi following the modern trend of other handset makers by not including a headphone jack could be considered contributors for there being a lack of dev involvement for the F5 Pro, and leaves a lot to be desired. I'm on the fence as to whether I intend to purchase this device since the specs of the F5 Pro makes Xiaomi no different from other competitor brands in the sense that their features lack substance or value, and don't necessarily target the budget-oriented consumer, and at $520 for the 512GB black variation, that is not motivating me to upgrade from my Poco X3 Pro, smh.

The F5 is not a spiritual successor to the X3 Pro hence why the F5 Pro would be the natural trajectory, and I would be regressing by purchasing the F5 since my X3 Pro's CPU is superior to the F5's.

And if you care about gaming performance, the sd8+gen1 and its adreno 730 is better than the f5 standard
If you don't there's also better screen resolution but not much more

The specs of the device was my whole point, why would I regress?
