Bootloop after update and re-installing Magisk on LineageOS 20 - Magisk

Hello,
S10 Plus. I always install the weekly updates for LineageOs and re-install Magisk-v26.1.
Today, I updated to lineage-20.0-20230621-nightly phone booted fine then I flashed magisk again, it booted fine. Then I did direct install in Magisk app and it's on bootloop now.
I can enter lineageos recovery mode.
Any tips?
What I've tried:
1: flash boot.img that I downloaded from https://download.lineageos.org/devices/beyond2lte/builds
2: flash magisk again.
3: uninstall magisk via adb
4: flash lineage-20.0-20230621-nightly-beyond2lte-signed.zip and gapps again.

18.1 update won't install (Galaxy S8)

I updated the Manager with no issue, and also downloaded the Magisk 18.1 zip to flash via TWRP.
TWRP didn't show any errors, but when I reboot Manager is telling me that Magisk isn't installed. I've also got a notification that keeps reappearing, prompting me to update Magisk.
Is there a step I'm missing?
I'm getting the same problem.

magisk doesn't apply when flashing

Hello guys,
I made an update in TWRP and installed Havoc 2.4 to try it. After 1 hour I restored my backup and changed back to MIUI. I couldn't log in, so I cleaned the keyfiles to set a new pin.
I reflashed new Beta (25.4 MIUI - Xiaomi.eu) ROM and Magisk but root does not apply on my device... What is wrong? Seems that it's not possible to root anymore... Its does not give me any fails when installing the magisk 18.1 zip in TWRP...
thanks in advance
Have you tried a simple reboot? Usually it takes a reboot more to apply.
no it's not that. now its always booting into twrp when I try to flash magisk

Extract the boot.image from the rom and place it in your downloads folder.
Now with Magisk Manager , download and install Magisk to that boot image
Magisk will write root to the boot.image file and then will automatically flash the the updated boot image, and restart to system >>> Issue resolved.
I fixed it by wiping data... now its working

Nope, no issues on my Mi 8. Here is the trick. When updating do not flash Magisk until you out have booted into the system and ran updates and deleted cache and trash, then reboot to recovery and flash Magisk.
If the method that I described before in the previous post doesn't work, then unpack the boot image from the update and flash it to boot in recovery then flash Magisk Canary debug.
I have been doing this for every weekly update using the beta ROM.
I had an issue just once that was resolved by flashing SuperSu, booting to system confirming root, then reboot to recovery and removing Su, flashing the boot and Magisk Canary

Man has found the guilty in Xiaomi.eu/community.
It is not Magisk, but Viper 4.2. I have flashed Magisk, after reboot again in recovery and wanted to flash version 4.1. It was uninstalled, have no Viper, but Magisk is installed ?

I no longer use Viper because my phone has 1 speaker and for me Ainur Sauren works pretty well for all sounds.
For listening to music I have the Pro version of Power amp which has every wanted option such as dynamic compression, dynamic EQ, convolution reverb, limiting , tag editing, visualizations etc, I bought it 5 years ago for $3. Best 3 bucks that I ever spent!
Seriously, I can't recommend Poweramp highly enough, its worth its weight in gold.

Can i update with magisk?

Hi, i'm trying to update my Mi A2 on stock rom but it gives always an installation error. There's any other way to update ? Maybe anually?
Hope someone help
U can install stock rom via fastboot or remove root and update.
For fastboot update u need to download whole stock rom (10.0.9 may update) and install manually but after that you need to flash patched boot images of may update for root access
I had problems too but since the last Magisk update (couple weeks ago), the latest OTA went just fine.
Thus :
1. Try again after updating the Magisk app and module : update Magisk (direct install), reboot, uninstall magisk (restore image), update Android, DO NOT REBOOT, install magisk on the other slot and reboot.
2. Or, uninstall Magisk, reboot and install the update (you will have to reinstall Magisk like you did the first time)

Help with Magisk root Pixel 2 factory Android 9.0.0 installed

Hello,
I have been struggling to root my device. I have not wiped and rooted it in some time and now coming back to it again magisk keeps breaking my device.
I have clean flashed the latest android 9.0.0 build. I have flashed TWRP custom recovery 3.3.0 successfully. I have tried to flash magisk 3 times now and afterwards my phone wont boot. I originally used magisk manager to get the latest zip and patch my boot image. I then rebooted to to bootloader and ran fast boot flash boot patched_Magisk.img. This wiped out my twrp recovery and my phone wouldn't boot, i couldn't get back into twrp recovery. I reflashed latest 9.0 build and wiped everything. I flashed twrp again and tried to flash Magisk 20.0 from recovery. It was successful but again i couldn't boot into my phone and it eventually restarted back into recovery which i still had twrp this time. I then tried it again with 19.3 and the same thing happened. can anyone tell me what is going on here? What am I missing? I have been having reflash factory 9.0 build each time just to get it to remove the patched boot image and boot up again.
Was either the TWRP version or the two check boxes it has now to install twrp app as system. Installed 3.2.3-1 and didnt install the twrp app through the recovery check boxes and it worked.

Lineage 16.0, Magisk gone after Rom-Update and decryption fails in Recovery...

Hi,
I am running the official Lineage 16.0 build from Microg with the latest Orangefox Recovery.
This week I installed an Lineage Update, the phone booted into Recovery, I entered my pattern, phone said unable to decrypt but did flash my update and rebooted. But now I lost magisk and have no root anymore. So tried to boot into recovery, enter my pattern, but decryption fails....
So I put the magisk .zip on a microsd card, but cant find it in my recovery to flash...
Formatting data will wipe all my apps, images, settings and so on am I right?
Is there a way to fix this?
How do you guys update your Roms with magisk root? That's the first time I used magisk, used the addon from lineage before to root my phones.
