Has anyone bought the international dual sim version of Note 9 and is able to use samsung pay in US?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-Ga...rentrq:f30678381650a992290dc1f3ffff2956|iid:1
I noticed that the dual sim version they are selling also has Snapdragon 845. I did some research. It seems to me that the Snapdragon 845 is key to use samsung pay in US. Even it does not have it built in, the US firmware can also be flashed in as long as it is Snapdragon 845.
Any thoughts?

Same situation I have here, I would appreciate if anyone helps us.
Is the Galaxy Note 9 Dual SIM version the international version? Confused as on the Samsung UK website it sells the Dual SIM version.
Also as I want to use only the BTU CSC firmware on my Note 9.

Ah ok thanks, do you know if the dual version uses the same firmware as the single version?
Yes the single sim N960F and dual sim N960FD versions use the same firmware.
Not all the international versions of the note 9 are dual sim, you have to look for the N960FD version whitch is the dual sim.
By the way international version uses exynos chipset while the north american version uses snapdragon chipset. All snapdragon versions are single sim.
Other asian versions are exynos and also dual sim but you will lickely have problems with radio bands and software bloatware.

There is a Snapdragon Dual-SIM variant (SM-N9600) that can be rooted.
However,if you're in a market to where the Exynos-powered version is the status quo, you're probably better off getting the Exynos version, especially when it comes to using your region/carrier specific CSC/firmware.

I need the Dual SIM version to be the UK one specifically. Also UK models are only Exynos variants.
"Dual SIM options
Samsung manufactures the Galaxy Note 9 in both Single & Hybrid Dual SIM versions. In the UK, Hybrid Dual SIM is only officially available through Samsung directly."

All Dual SIM Exynos phones are identical. The only difference is the CSC installed.
The one being sold in the UK is the exact same as the one being sold in Europe, Middle East and Asia.

Different plugs and network bands; any non-UK version will not work with Samsung Pay in the UK.

Different plugs is what comes in the box.
Network bands are exactly the same, and Samsung Pay is enabled once you insert a UK SIM.
Sent from my SM-N960F

I wanted a UK one because of BTU CSC. I managed to get a Dual SIM UK version.
Be aware that if you use two SIMs that you cannot also use an SD card.
Is there anyway of getting the sd 855 varient in ireland? Iv got the s10e exynos but im sending it back to get the s10 or s10+.
You would need to order it online from a country that sells the snapdragon variant
Loads of EU sellers that have S10 855 in stock, check ebay
Yeh, I got my S10 SD855 from Amazon International.
Hey folks, I live in Canada, but I wanted a Dual-Sim variant of this model so bad. (5G Snapdragon variant). Samsung Canada and BH-Photo are giving a lot of discrepancy information regarding the SM-G780U overall specs.
I don't know if anyone can confirm to me whether SM-G780U or SM-G780F has dual sim? Or if your phone has Dual Sim and is a 5G Snapdragon variant, what model is it?
The Tech Chap from Youtube mentioned in a hands-on video that his 5G SD variant is a dual sim (at 3:10 of the clip), but he never says the model variant . No other reviewer mention dual-sim so far.

I'm in Canada too, and waiting on the dual-SIM variant myself. Dual-SIM models will indicate dual-SIM, and no North American models (e.g., SM-G780U) will be dual-SIM, if past practice is any indication. There is usually a dual-SIM variant of the Global (F) model - but if it's not indicated as dual-SIM, it isn't. I'm actually hopeful that the HK model will be dual-SIM and 256 GB storage, like the HK Note20 Ultra - but time will tell.
Today I discovered that at Amazon Germany and Amazon France, the variant SM-G780F being offered by Amazon seems to have Dual Sim. Samsung UK also offer SM-G780F which is a dual-sim variant.

Looks like it might not have 256 GB of storage, but it might have 8 GB of RAM (other listings of the S20 FE have been wrong about this as we know, so this will have to be verified). Still, at least it is Snapdragon, 5G and dual-SIM: https://www.wondamobile.com/samsung...0-lte-mobile-phone-sim-free-and-unlocked.html

If 5G is not that important to you, and you don't mind getting the Exynos version, they are available on EBay: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Samsung-Gal...48958b212ec9c7a63aa2|ampid:PL_CLK|clp:2334524
Unfortunately, the whole point of me getting a Samsung S20 FE was to get Snapdragon with Dual Sim. For the entire S20 and Note 20 Samsung line, only HK edition has SD and Dual Sim. I'm still waiting for confirmation but it seems SM-G781B is also a dual Sim variant.

Why unfortunately? It sounds like the HK version is the way to go - in fact, I had ordered a HK Note20 Ultra but cancelled it as I couldn't justify the price (and that price continues to drop).
I have UK device, SM-G781B/DS and it's dual sim, 5G, Snapdragon.

Good to know! You mean two physical nano SIMs? And have you tested the 5G on both SIMs?
My USA s20 fe claims its a dual sim version in settings but its not so keep that in mind when buying your phone. The model lists itself as a SM-G781U1/DS

Ah, I see what you mean - it shows that model number, but there is no SIM Card Manager, or dual-SIM capability - correct?

Yes, it has a hybrid SIM tray that takes two nano SIMs or one nano SIM and a micro SD card. 5G works on either card.
Will there be a forum like S21, S21+, S21 Ultra with sub forums like Cross device development?

Best explanation I can give is due to the new forum design. At least for the foreseeable future, forums will be based on the "prefix" system without all the sub-forums that we have all been accustomed to. Of course, things can change, so we'll just have to wait and see my friend.
Hello, can an expert helping me. I have a sm-G998U1 s21 ultra I paid via Rakuten site.
My concern is that I am not able to get 5G signal, only LTE, knowing that my operator is FREE with 5G in France. My SIM card has no problem because when I install it on an other mobile phone I receive the 5G.
Questions to the expert:
- Is this s21 ultra model compatible with 5G European bands and if yes, how can I customize my phone to receive 5G?
- Taking into account that this model is an US phone, do you think it's possible that I change the firmware via ODIN by replacing the current version SMG998U1 (US) by a SMG998B (European) and will this solve my 5G problem?
Or this is impossible even with different firmware because it is due to the mobile hardware, the antenna is different on US models.
Thank you for your help.
Buying a phone destined for another region comes with a price. Back and forth there are compatibility issues. G988B (Exynos) will not operate 5G in USA and G998U/G998U1 (Snapdragon) will not in Europe. This has to do with different bands and modem settings.
Whatever you do, do not try to flash firmware of a different type of phone! It will brick your phone.
Thank you very much. The fault is due to the vendor Rakuten, it was mentioned that this model was compatible with french mobile providers. In fact it is true and not, it is working but only with 4G+ and not 5G!
I ordered this phone on Rakuten in order to get a better price but in the end this was really not a good idea!!!

4G and 5G spectrums are different in certain regions too. So a phone can support 4G but not 5G as the 4G spec may match the provider but the 5G may not be compatible.
