Question Note 10s No Deep Sleep? - Redmi Note 10S

Just monitored it now. Wasn't concerned as battery life was ok.
Read conflicting info on this too since it's miui with its own power management that's is normal to read zero deep sleep.
So does your miui unit get deep sleep?
And any suggestions to restore proper doze/deep sleep?

[Q] galaxy note never goes to deep sleep state

My galaxy note drains battery overnight like 50%. I have checked with CPU sky and noticed that note never goes to deep sleep state - it's obvious that this is the reason why the phone is discharging so fast ?
What can cause the phone never goes into sleep state?
I use very few programs like Battery Monitor, cpu sky, betterbattery, handcent and dropbox - and that's all.
BTW, these statistics are gathered using AbyssKernel 2.5, I reflashed stock kernel today and waiting to see the changes.
What should be the idle time before phone goes into deep sleep?
This sounds like an individual issue, for if the Note was faulty as described then everyone would be experiencing it.

are you leaving wifi and bluetooth on? they tend to ping quite frequently to find nearby wifi hubs and bluetooth devices. gps pings your location once in a while. weather apps will reconnect your device to 3g at regular intervals to update the weather data. some widgets also use mobile data which will drain battery.
50% overnight is way too much even for not going into the deep sleep. There has to be some runaway app in the background. I'm on custom ROM and kernel, undervolted and no wifi/bluetooth/data/sync while I'm sleeping and the most drain I would see overnight is 3%.
got that issue with rocket rom v11. now am on v10 with abyssnote 2.5 with no issue.

If you left WiFi turned on, it could happen that it prevents it from going into deep sleep. If you have titanium backup, freeze the app "wi-fi sharing" and all the samsung hub/kies apps.

Battery drain!!!

Has anyone had any issue with the battery draining out rapidly overnight when the phone is in idle without any apps running. My battery remains around 75% before I go to sleep but the next day morning it drops to below 30%........am confused :S

Maybe you were really running apps, or some of them started updating.
You really need to check up on your phone activity.

It's not possible without any logical reason, and this one can only be an app running in idle wich can't even go CPU to sleep.
It's pretty simple to search for the issue, just need an app such as "CPU Spy" who can help you to find WHAT is draining your battery.
Before do it, I advice you to test it without charger (evident ) let us know
Sent from my Galaxy Note with DarkyROM 3.3
Your phone is not getting into deep sleep. There might be some apps giving wakelocks or kernel wakelocks. Install better battery stats and cpu spy from market and identify the culprit!
Hit thanks if it helped :-D
BOOMED from my BOMBASTIC NOTE :-D
Sleep less -- more battery
probably it is because of the samsung push service. froze it with titanium back up or uninstall it.

Deep sleep

Is it just me or is anyone else having this problem. Every time I charge my phone, and then take it off the charger I have know deep sleep. No matter what rom I am on. I have to go to Google framework clear data then reboot. Then I get deep sleep?
It can never deep sleep whilst on charge but as soon as it is off and been inactive a while, it should deep sleep. If yours isn't sleeping, I suggest installing better battery stats or something to see what's keeping it awake.

thats how its supposed to be. it doesnt sleep while on the charger, as @rootSU said. but when off the charger, and the screen is off, it should go into deep sleep. if it doesnt, then you have a problem.

I understand that when on the charger it does not deep sleep I am saying after I take it off the charger it does not. Like when I wake up in the morning I grab my phone take it off the charger. Check my email look at Facebook. Now I have been on it for 5min and already at 97%. So I look at trickster and look at my info deepsleep 0. If I do nothing and continue using it it does not deep sleep. It continues to eat my battery. If I clear data in framework as soon as I wake up. Boom deepsleep? I mean yesterday I tried taking it off the charger and waited for a while and no deepsleep the best I got was 9% deepsleep. When I clear data I get 75% deepsleep for the rest of the day. I never had a problem like this with any other phone. I will try to take some screen shots
I have the same problem. Do you have an Android Wear device by any chance?

most likely its an app keeping your device awake. facebook is a known terrible app. i uninstalled it 3 years ago, and havent been happier. it drained 24% battery one day, when i never used it for a month. try uninstalling facebook, then check your deep sleep. facebook via the browser is just as good as the app.

OP3T Does Not Go Into Deep Sleep Anymore on 7.1.2

Hi - I have been running SultanXDA's excellent 7.x ROM for quite a while now.
Recently, I noticed that my OP3T battery life had degraded significantly. When I opened up Wakelock Detector and Kernel Auidtor, I saw that my OP3T was not going into Deep Sleep anymore. Even when the phone is in Airplane Mode, the Deep Sleep is usually 90% or higher.
So, I restored a full Nandroid backup I made when my OP3T had a very low battery drain - Deep Sleep was around 94% of the time. When I let the phone go through the normal App updates from when the image was created, I checked and found that OP3T was back to no Deep Sleep again, even in Airplane Mode.
Next, I restored the full low power Nandroid again, and immediately put the phone in Airplane Mode before it could start updating apps. When I checked back a few hours later, the OP3T was in Deep Sleep 99% of the time.
So .... Some update (probably Google Play Services) is messing up my OP3T.
Is there any way I can discover what is keeping my OP3T from going into Deep Sleep Mode?
Thanks,
¿GJ?

phone hardly ever goes into deepsleep

As the screenshot, my phone hardly ever goes into deep sleep, I have accubattery installed and I installed better battery stats to check for any unusual wakelocks but everything seems normal.
Settings :
Bluetooth always on connected to mi band
GPS always on but I hardly ever use it as the ss shows
Connected to wifi most of the time.

Is AOD on? I've had AOD on and the device never slept last night. It was only last night that I thought of measuring the drain overnight as I've been noticing an abnormal standby drain. In eight hours of sleep, my phone "slept" for only 14 mins. Tonigt I'll test the standby drain with AOD turned off and report back

Well AOD turns off at midnight automatically, so I'm pretty sure it's not the reason.

Already on latest global stable, and I've already rebooted the phone quite a few times now. Losing 30%+ overnight is something lol

Try to turn on airplane mode while sleeping, that fixed the issue for me.
The phone for some reason is awake searching for networks

Well XiaomiEU ROM works good for the battery despite having some weird small UI bugs. Phone is sleeping now. I still prefer having a locked bootloader and an encrypted device, but battery is on a higher priority than that.
