Looks better than i thought it would.

You the man.
Patiently awaiting the install directions! Will installing the doexed files let me install doexed apps? I believe it will, just want to clarify.
Sent from my MB860 using XDA App
someone explain to me what the diff is between doexed apps are?
never mind, did some research and answered my own question... for all the android noobs like myself here is a great article about odexed and deodexed

This question probably doesn't belong here, but a quick search of the forum revealed this thread which seems instructive enough:
Does anyone know, or can help, flash the stock? My phone has been in a boot loop, after freezing apps in TB. I cant recover from it.
Your solution is to enable early usb use super oneclick to obtain shell root and go undo what you did. There is no stock to flash or a way to do it

Also if you want to get us a log before you fix it that be great! !

Flashing as we speak...
Flash was successful. Default language was set to French. Motoblur register was able to be skipped.
Just trying to root right now.
thgi you are on a bell atrix probably, by the name of the flash file it suggests that its for the bell versions and not for the att versions... what is the kernel and android version tho thgi?
I'm downloading now, just curious as to what it is before I flash.. Tghi, look forward to what this sbf does... and of course if it is for Bell I wouldn't but I figure doesn't hurt to download

Interesting, build date is 13 days ago. Looks promising we will have something other then mf1 to fall back on. Also now we will be able to run 4.3 roms via SS. We shoukd get this to Hashcode when it comes out.

Thank you so much. The majority of us are stuck on mf1 so this is much appreciated.
Edit: I'm not a dev and don't have a Twitter account but I am willing to test this out. I do know what I am doing with odin files and i can get my way out of a brick.

This is exciting, but guys please remember that this may break root, ODIN to MF1 and the SS method we have grown to love. Flash with caution!
Thanks you for this info, it really does help the community

same here, I just hope a dev can make a rom out of it :fingers-crossed:
So so so so so so so... a full day and not a peep, and the anxiousness is wearing thin, any potential updates, designgears?
Anything would work at this point to keep me/us sated, I think, even bad news to alleviate the stress.

We just need to be patient... sometimes you are at the mercy of the leaker and have to play by their rules. I'm just glad to see something...
I wonder if anyone here will be willing to take the risk of locking their phones down to take the update and what this update will provide features wise. I know that in a few days I will be sending back my current S4 Active with dead pixels... i may be able to test it out if not one has by then
I look at it like this:
If it's an "official" AT&T leak, no BS official real deal stuff, and it's loaded with all the stock BS bloatware, but it's Android 4.3 for real, I'm happy to do the testing or installation of it as long as designgears is confident that his source is providing him/us with the real deal - I'm not interested in a custom ROM just yet even in spite of running the AOSP for the time being.
I would love to get a custom ROM with a custom kernel and be able to enable/disable cores at will and do some undervolting for battery life - could care less about overclocking because the damned phone is already fast and I don't play games so, I'd be very happy being able to cut it down to 2 cores and then run them at about 1.2 GHz max to be honest and then undervolt it a bit too.
Obviously I'd love to do all this and make this phone last me a good long time like my HD2 did (nearly 4.5 years till it finally died because I'd flashed ROMs on it probably a 1,000x or more, I literally wore out the Flash memory the phone works from), but I know right now there just ain't that much serious interest in this device and it's because of the locked bootloader, sadly.
So, if a proper leaked AT&T 4.3 ROM gets itself seeing the light of day by designgear's anonymous friend or whatever, and he/she is willing to share it with us and it installs, even if it locks me out of potential updates I don't think I'll really have any issues.
Even if Safestrap and root don't work anymore and may never work, and even if I get "stuck" with that leaked ROM, again, I'm still cool with it. 4.3 should provide better performance overall than 4.2.2 and having TRIM support will certainly help far far more than not having it at all.
Like I said, I'm willing to be a guinea pig...
Designgears will come thru for us. Lets try to repay him by not mirroring his file as per his request. He said MF1 would be his last leak because of overboard mirroring. So maybe we can keep him around this time.
GT-i9295(i537) running SafeStrap
I've already said this once, That I'm willing to test this out for us but I have not heard anything back about it.

Could be that either he found a tester and the tester is having issues or his source did not come though for him as quickly as he thought. Designgears has always been reliable since my captivate days - even if it was slower than expected.

Sorry for knocking a 9 month old Thread , but I am trying to make Cifs Manager work for my Gflex.
i'm running Android 4.4.2 , Kernel 3.4.0 Build KOT49I.D95520a .
I've Downloaded the Kernel Source tar.gz from LG : LGD955_Gflex_Kikat_V20a_Kernel.tar.gz
And I just cannot seem to produce a cifs.ko module that is succesfully loaded with insmod on the device.
I keep getting this in dmesg: no symbol version for module_layout
I was trying to use this thread for instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2531407&page=3
and this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2531407&page=3
@TheWizardOfROMs Maybe if you have some time you can give some useful advice
@ forrestgump2000 How did you do it for LG G2 ? It should be almost the same for the Gflex, could you perhaps lend a hand? Please?
I am trying to build it on Mac OSX , installed with macports gcc4.9 , using CROSS_COMPILE=/Downloads/android-ndk-r10c/toolchains/arm-linux-androideabi-4.9/prebuilt/darwin-x86_64/bin/arm-linux-androideabi- , ARCH=arm,SUBARCH=arm
make EXTRA_CFLAGS=-fno-pic M=fs/cifs Tells me about some versioning , then I run make modules before to create that file and then it doesn't complain.
Running out of ideas..... (will try a Ubuntu VM soon if nothing works...)
Thank you!
2nd really need this for off device storage
Work documentation
I've sent an e-mail to LG , let's see what happens....

Dear LG OpenSource Team,
I am currently trying very hard to compile a new module for my current kernel:LGD955_Gflex_Kikat_V20a_Kernel.zip
My work environment is the following:
Vmware Ubuntu 14.01 LTS , gcc 4.8
I have unpacked your kernel source and tried the following:
cp arch/arm/configs/z-open-com-perf_defconfig .
make z-open-com-perf_defconfig prepare headers_install scripts ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=arm-linux-androideabi- O=build KERNELRELEASE=3.4.0-perf-g551cabf
make menuconfig ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=arm-linux-androideabi- O=build KERNELRELEASE=3.4.0-perf-g551cabf
Chosen Network File System Support -> CIFS (M) and saved.
make modules ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=arm-linux-androideabi- O=build KERNELRELEASE=3.4.0-perf-g551cabf
adb push fs/cifs/cifs.ko /data/local/modules/
chmod 644 /data/local/modules/cifs.ko
insmod /data/local/modules/cifs.ko gives this Failure Message : … failed (Exec format error)
dmesg has this message inside: no symbol version for module_layout
A little info after building the module:

Thank you in advance,

Porting OmniROM from CM11 configs

Overview
I'm going to discuss forking CM11-based configs to OmniROM, I will not dicuss adapting device configs to TWRP because it's been done to death and most devices do have TWRP.
I'm not going to discuss how to move device, kernel and vendor configs into their proper folders, work at this level is very basic and I'm writing this under the assumption folks have a general understanding of how to build CM11 outside of just using 'breakfast' on an officially supported device. I will be writing this guide assuming you know where to put what, but just don't know how to structure them.
I'll be writing this guide under the assumption that you are using 'moto_msm8960', which I'll be using as an example; however this should apply to any device generally.
Rename the following file from:
cm.mk -> omni_moto_msm8960.mk
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_motorola_moto_msm8960/blob/cm-11.0/cm.mk
full_moto_msm8960.mk (will be merged into omni_moto_msm8960.mk)
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/andr...oto_msm8960/blob/cm-11.0/full_moto_msm8960.mk
If your device config file does not follow this format it's fine. If you have a "Full_device.mk" you will need to import it into your newly made omni_moto_msm8960.mk
I realize you're told to not do this, It's ok hold my hand and we'll walk into the darkness together.
Both files have "device Identifier" values and when using two makefiles with Omni this will cause compile issues 90% of the time unless the entry:
PRODUCT_NAME := full_moto_msm8960
Is above all the other Product_values. (but PRODUCT_value entries must be at the very END of the makefile)
If your Omni has built but has an under 100MB size, do not use dual-makefiles.
Let's construct the omni_moto_msm8960.mk:
#---------------------------#
# Moto_msm8960 unified #
# - OmniROM 4.4 - #
#---------------------------#
# Main product makefile
#---------------------------#
# First revision, everything is good here.
#---------------------------#
# Define screen resolution #
#---------------------------#
# * Change this for HDPI devices like Razr M
TARGET_SCREEN_WIDTH := 720
TARGET_SCREEN_HEIGHT := 1280
#---------------------------#
# Phone-specific config #
#---------------------------#
$(call inherit-product, $(SRC_TARGET_DIR)/product/full_base_telephony.mk)
#---------------------------#
# Build for a CDMA phone #
#---------------------------#
$(call inherit-product, vendor/omni/config/cdma.mk)
#---------------------------#
# Use generic Omni configs #
#---------------------------#
$(call inherit-product, vendor/omni/config/common.mk)
#---------------------------#
# Phone-specific config #
#---------------------------#
$(call inherit-product, device/motorola/moto_msm8960/device_moto_msm8960.mk)
#---------------------------#
# Product [name] values #
#---------------------------#
PRODUCT_NAME := omni_moto_msm8960
PRODUCT_DEVICE := moto_msm8960
PRODUCT_BRAND := motorola
PRODUCT_MODEL := MOTOROLA MSM8960
PRODUCT_MANUFACTURER := motorola
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Of course some things will vary; If you use a GSM phone you will not use Omnis CDMA config file, but will ALWAYS use common.
The product-values should reflect what is found in your makefile and PRODUCT_NAME should always be at the very top, screen resolution should be the very first thing specified followed by device specific telephony configs, everything inbetween does not matter as much.
Now we must edit Androidproducts.mk to reflect such a dramatic change, as we're now only using a single makefile.
#---------------------------#
# Moto_msm8960 unified #
# - OmniROM 4.4 - #
#---------------------------#
# Product Root makefile
#---------------------------#
PRODUCT_MAKEFILES := \
$(LOCAL_DIR)/omni_moto_msm8960.mk
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Modify this file in the following way, also make sure entries point to build paths and not something on Github.
cm.dependencies -> omni.dependencies
If not present, add a 'vendorsetup.sh' file containing the following entry
# ----------------------------------------
# Moto_msm8960 unified configuration
# - OmniROM 4.4 -
# ----------------------------------------
# Enable support for 'brunch' command
# ----------------------------------------
add_lunch_combo omni_moto_msm8960-userdebug
add_lunch_combo omni_moto_msm8960-eng
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
With your kernel and supporting device configs & vendor files intact, Omni will now be able to build functionally.
IF you recieve config.xml error, simply remove that line in config.xml or delete your Overlay folder.
If OmniROM builds but does not seem to boot; use Logcat, do you have this error?
E/Fence ( 220): sync_fence_info returned NUL
If so find the following commit in your kernel:
msm: mdp: Update sync pt. behaviour
and revert it.
Is this possible for cm13 and omnirom 6.0.1 too?
I tried to follow your guide, but it seems cm has changed a lot... I couldn't find the lines you have in your config files in the cm13 .mk files. And I could not find all the files.
I try to port omnirom 6.0.1 to S4 mini aka GT-I9195 aka serranoltexx.
