LTE Atlanta coverage - HTC Vivid, Raider, Velocity

Can anyone that is using the LTE in Atlanta tell me roughly how far the signal stretches out of the city? Just wondering if it actually reaches out to any of the metro area.
Thanks

Just wanted to follow up on my question in case anyone else was wondering the same thing. A co-worker of mine got the Samsung Skyrocket today and can get a LTE signal in Norcross, Ga just fine. It is roughly 20-25 miles north of the city. He was getting 25+ Mbps down and 10-15 up.

It's on the AT&T website, but draw a line from Kennesaw to Cumming to Rest Haven for the north.
Union City to Panthersville down south...
East and West is not much further out than the loop.

T-Mobile and 3G

Howdy,
I am in the Chicagoland area. I'm wondering if there is anyone out there who knows where T-Mobile plans to market their 3G service? All I know is that they have started it in New York and Washington (state).....wondering how much longer I have to wait! Thanks

Ok so about 6 years ago I worked as a Call Center Agent for T-Mobile. And back then they were boasting how their are going to be rolling out 3G to replace GPRS "soon."
So given it took a few years to get to New York It may be a while for you.
Heheh, I know!....I guess I have been waiting/holding on to them just hoping that, if they were smart, they would roll-out 3.5+ (no such luck)
Lets see if the Texas gets it soon. I would be mad if they just jump the whole country to the west coast

Hey! There are more of us Coasties than you Cowboys out there.
The only thing that I have heard is that they are going to start off (after NY & Washington) in "major market" cities-whatever that means. I'm guessing that means major business markets, so Chicago 'should' be included. If this is correct, Texas and (Portland) areas would/should be included.

All i know is that Houston is a big business city so i would believe that it would have priority, in getting the network tested here
out here in sacramento/roseville california my sister's unlocked tilt pops the 3g icon sometimes, then goes no service (it doesn't have the 1700 band, just 2100). I don't know if this means it's starting to show up here... I can't find a worthwhile device with 1700 band to try it with!

LTE for Virginia residents(HAMPTON ROADS & RICHMOND AREAS)

LTE will go live Oct. 20 for all residents of Hampton Roads, VA.

Curious if anyone knows how to find the "boundaries" of the newly 4G enabled areas--aside from "just wait and see and find out"?
The local verizon store reps in my area (Charlottesville, VA) say that our 4G LTE fate is tied to Richmond. Now that Richmond is announced, I'm curious to see how correct they are that this will include C'ville (which is over 50-60 miles from Richmond).
I guess I'll know in less than a month either way.

One of the reps at the Pantops Verizon store told me back in March that Richmond would be getting 4G within the next ~3 months, Charlottesville within the next year. He was obviously wrong about Richmond, so who knows about Cville.
Then again, the only 4G cities they have listed for Oklahoma are OKC and Tulsa, yet Stillwater (college town an hour from both OKC and Tulsa) has 4G. Maybe there's hope.
Hampton roads has lte as of 2pm yesturday. At least that's how long it been active on my phone. Ran a speed test resulting in 10.63mb download speed. Pretty damn impressive.

AT&T LTE trials in Philadelphia

I saw today that they were testing LTE signals today and I saw great speeds ( duh) but us Philly people haven't seen this yet so its exciting news

But good to know it may be coming soon.

I was pretty happy about this! I work in the far western burbs of philly (Malvern) and saw the LTE icon pop up. I got 14.89 MBPS and 11.10 MBPS on two tests. Not quite full LTE speed but it was just a system test. A big sigh of relief on my part as I was worried that the service was going to only be accessible within or very close to the city limits!
Good for you guys. just a headsup don't get too speedtest-happy though that app guzzles up data faster than you'd like
I'm still on Edge in my area...
That would be sweet! I am about 45 mins outside of Center city towards Allentown. However i am in Philly all the time so this would be good. Drinking in Center/Old city while enjoying LTE speeds lol. Of course LTE when i'm at Citizens Bank Park watching the PHILLIES!!!
I don't know who owned the tower
but I know they were putting up new panels on 76W between Girard Avenue and the Roosevelt Ave exit.
I haven't seen the icon light up yet but hot damn am I excited for this!

Great News!
GOOD NEWS! I am waiting to switch back to ATT pending their rollout of LTE in Philadelphia. If we could keep this thread going with updates that be great.
I was in Old City yesterday and did not see an LTE signal.
The only thing you WILL see in Old City

I work in University City too. We were at the Phillies game this past Sunday and I was able to use my iPhone 4S. Normally I wouldn't be able to use it at a game.
Well if you iPhone 4s had lte maybe this comment would be useful.

T-mobile USA LTE San Jose, CA

It seems the other cities have a thread but SJ doesn't quite yet. Anyone have any luck yet? using the sensorly app it seems like all the towers are around high way 280 shucks it woulda been nice to get some LTE coverage at SJSU. I guess we can use this thread to report any updates anyone else notices
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
This is a block off from SJSU campus. Which hopefully means that the buildings around the edge of campus can get some LTE goodness
Although the majority of the towers are located around freeway 280 so until they roll out more towers its gonna be pretty empty although I did manage to snag this gem while driving

LTE Working in Milpitas & Mountain View (Moffett Field) for me. Have not tried anywhere else, that's just where I live/work.
Now threads are specific to cities...

LTE is very sporadic in San Jose, i can't understand how T-Mobile can claim they have launched this city. It's like they threw a tower here and there and that's it.
I drove around and you can see an LTE tower at some places but coverage is fairly poor so far.
Works in the North side of San Jose.

Well yes, because the other launch cities aren't in our state so we are discussing the roll out of LTE at this area and neighboring cities of CA

Relax, they just went live yesterday and San Jose isn't the only town they're working on. It'll only get better with time, so stop *****ing and chill out.

On Grant Rd? There was kind of a dead spot on Grant, hardly any signal, but on North St. by the hospital, had full bars. Also strong signal by Starbucks on Cuesta.
I have LTE at home and work in north SJ (Montague and Zanker)
Please continue all future LTE discussions HERE.

N7000 on Tmobile 3g/hspa??

I know Tmobile is suppossedly refarming the 1900mhz frequency. I am currently on the AT+T 14.99 (250mb data) but want to go to the tmobile 30 dollar (100 min 5gb 4g). I am in the Albany, New York area, and would want it for the surrounding areas too (Schenectady and Saratoga). I can't din anything that shows it has been refarmed in this area yet. Any info? Is tmobile eventually going to open up all the 1900mhz towers to 4G???? I just don't want to be stuck with EDGE speeds. Otherwise, I'll just stick with AT+T. I know the big push was to get iphone users on board, so I thought they might be motivated to get this up and going quickly and use n7000 users will benefit as a result!

I am looking for this exact same information. Anybody know?
The Albany/Colonie area has NOT been refarmed. Only pulling Edge speeds. On AT&T I'm pulling LTE.

Sorry guys, but what do you have for a tarif? ?
In Austria I have for 10€ 1000min, 1000sms and 2000Mb. For one month. How can you use note with 250mb, if I understood good. .. ?
Edit: on hspa+
Yeah, seems to be edge only for the n7000. I ended up selling my note n7000 and got a note 2 for t-mobile. Glad I did. Hspa speeds on t-mobile are really good and I understand they will be deploying lte throughout this year. I'm in the 30 dollar 5gb 4g 100 mins, and unlimited texts. I'm glad I no longer have to use android firewall to watch data etc.

This is strictly my opinion + my experience.
I was on vacation to the states for about 3 weeks and just got back last week.
my aunt + cousins bought me that exact same 30 dollar 5gb plan from t-mobile.
I traveled from San Fran, to Boston, to L.A. and also to Vegas.
This whole time I was using my n7000 to use this sim from t-mobile.
To be quite honest, the reception was really terrible and there were planty of areas that my network got dropped from hspa to 3g.
Do correct me if i'm wrong. but as far as I know, the n7000 can only do hspa+ (at max) and some type of 4g in the states.
So my point is : If you're looking to do that 30 dollar plan, make sure your area (check their website) is a LTE location and make sure your area is a stable T mobile location. Also, if you' want that kind of speed, personally I think it's time to retire your n7000 and use it as a fun phone to try stuff on while getting a better phone (such as the note 2 or the s4) as your main phone to utilize your phone plan.
Good luck, and hope this helps
