Read some threads.... The informationis out there, there are better alternatives.
I have never seen a device be abandoned so much.. I'm not going to write everything I've already written again because people won't be bothered to look themselves, the info is there, have a look.

You must be confused, this device got Android 13 update this summer and just got a big update this week. Very much not abandoned.

Abandoned by developers...100% true... Not only that but oppo/oneplus are locking these devices down. Unlocking the bootloader on the 10T is already an issue.
Think it's you who's confused pal

They're mostly referring to the fact that OnePlus, once developer-friendly, has reversed that stance and with every flagship phone, has found more and more new and exciting ways to make developers' lives a living hell. Hence, no developer support. Meanwhile, OP releases updates that only seem to break things more than anything else. Buyer beware, as they say.

very sad to see so many people talking s**t about the note 4.
It might not be a huge difference from note 3 but is definitely a big upgrade from my note 2.
I think everyone expect to have extreme changes in the devices every year and that is not possible anymore.
I think now the upgrade should be every 2 years.

Someone told me that if you get the TMO version it won't have a locked bootloader, and can be usedon ATT. I'm not sure if this is true, but considering going that route.

Verizon :/ I really am getting tired of it from them tbh. I buy the phone, why should they lock the bootloader. (Yes, I know there are reasons, but still) they are not leasing the phone to me, You buy the device and use it on their network.I am paying for a service. That's just how I look at it.

I sure understand that thought. But I also understand the carriers not wanting to warranty phones that we hose trying to mess with them.
It's probably too much effort to position themselves to offer an unlock code for the bootloader, which would cost 'loss of warranty'. If they don't have to warranty them, then why should they care?

probably because so many people lie when they call for warranty service, saying they dont know why their phone suddenly "stopped" working..
Now, what could be done, is to sell an unlocked phone/boot loader, NO WARRANTY AT ALL, and see how many folks buy that model...
Not many I bet..

The vulnerability of towelroot was patched on all kernels deployed after 6th June.
It has very less chances of working.

Any news on when/if the Marshmallow update comes to H811 T-Mobile?
The tmo support site has it listed as "Manufacturer Development", so it means that tmo have probably just received the update or are working on it. Click here if you want to check it out. I remember last year the G3 being "In Development" around March 2015, so I am guessing around then if not sooner.

All I got from that thread was a bunch of users speculating when, why, and who was the cause for the update not being released yet. I saw nothing from any T-Mobile rep giving any info or blaming LG. All the accusations I saw came from users in that thread.
I think some of those users have their facts wrong about the Wi-Fi calling issue, that was the G3 when it first got updated to Lollipop 5.0.1 that was causing a problem for some users, I was one of those users, but T-Mobile never blamed LG.
I'd rather they take time and get the bugs worked out and put out a fully working update rather than put out a half assed update that could and/or would screw our phones.
Hi All,
Its been a while since I have seen a need to unlock a bootloader on an Android Phone. I have just managed to snag a good deal on a MI 9 128gb via eBay. So pretty chuffed with that as the Spec of the Phone looks good.
My understanding is that I need to register an account with Xiaomi to get the bootloader unlocked. I have seen several people on here saying there they have tried different ways register their account and their devices.
What is the proper way that gives the least amount of time to wait ?
I think my device will have the Global Rom. Is this best one to stick with as I am based in the UK ?
Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks, in advice.

The whole unlocking thing is getting me read loads of stuff just no clear info in my mind.
I'm baffled. There are at least a dozen of guides on XDA about how to unlock the Mi 9, and you're asking people to write you another one?
People have no shame.

Blimey, some people are rude
The process is detailed quite well on Xiaomi.eu
I'm also inclined to check out the XiaomiToolv2 project which looks to make things a bit easier to follow.
Good luck!

What are you, talking? Did you see the video?
I also read that Google is giving the update in steps.
Even if you install the update it will not bring the new look until Google is read to do it. When Google wants, you will see the new look.
I m not trolling at all.

We all know it's coming eventually. Google announced it at the beginning of May, it's not news.
You claimed it started rolling out. It hasn't. The video doesn't support a claim that "it started."
