If you listen to MP3 a lot with your XDA, we have just released a new adapter which you may find very useful:

I created a simple car kit. Using the car power adapter I soldered the cassette adapter to pins 3 and 4. Now I can power the XDA and hear MP3's. The problem is that I only hear MP3, no other sounds seem to come through, but only play on the XDA. No wav files will play through the external speaker via the bottom connector, but all sounds will play through the headset via the headphone connector (or through a cassette adapter if using a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter).
I'm at a loss as to why this is happening.
Does anybody know how to config my Blue Angel to play mp3's through my plantronics 510???

Which ROM are you using? Some of them have the capability, some don't... some can have it added, and some can't...
If you provide a little more info then someone will be able to help
Not possible, as far as I know.
The BA can handle it, your headset can't. You can install the A2DP bluetooth profile (needed to stream music via Bluetooth) on your device, but you would still need a (stereo) headset that supports A2DP.
Other than that, I doubt you'd get much pleasure listening to mono music through one ear on a little speaker that's built for cell phone conversations...
If you'd like to listen to music wirelessly, there's a number of bluetooth headsets that support A2DP, all of them stereo and not too expensive.
Hi,
I just received my new car speaking adapater from Funkwerk Dabendorf named Ego Look.
The product description tells that it has the possiblity to play music via a2dp connection. But the music player doesn't work with it.
There are two other funnctionilities which are not working with my xda star. The sms reading and calling lists functionalities.
Has anyone some experience with that. At least with the audio playing from a bluetooth device? Do have do activate anything on my xda?
Thanks in advance
cheers,

Hello yves
The EGO Look plays music only over the Line-out stereo jack plug, do you have connected the electronics box line-out to the car audio line-in?
There is no PPC Phone that support SMS reading with the EGO look and the Nike isn't anyway supportet by the EGO look. You could use the Productfinder here:

Hi everyone,
I currently have a USB to 3.5mm audio adapter that I use to stream radio and listen to mp3s in the car. As Ontario is going to pass a law saying that we need to use handsfree when driving, I also need to get a handsfree device.
If I buy a bluetooth headset, and connect both the audio adapter and bluetooth device, when a call comes in, which audio input will take the call? Also, when I play mp3s, the sound will come out from which device?
Thanks for your help!
I recently got one of these off amazon in the UK, I was fed up looking like a taxi driver with a headset on.
This streams from the phone and has a mic for calls. You can also play mp3 from cds.
This Link is to the Canadian sony shop, but you might get it cheaper.

Thanks for your help, but I don't think I want to install a new car deck just so I can listen to calls on my phone. Rather spend that money somewhere else
is there any software that could let me use an audio adapter for an audio input?
Reason being I have a redfly, one of those new ones that dose video from an MP3 Player and a set of bluetooth headphones and I think it would be grate to have the audio from both devices coming out the headphones especally since I can use both devices at once now. I know its a lot of wires but its hard to wear 2 sets of headphones at the same time.
