Back after moving house

Hi all,
It's been a hectic few weeks. I recently moved houses and was stuck without my DSL for what seemed like eternity. I'm back now (if anyone cares :lol: ) and will try to help out once again on the forums.
I'm working on a user manual for the XDA Tools which I hope to release soon.
I'd also like to share with you guys how suddenly things can change. A colleague of mine from work died this morning when he smashed his Mustang into the guard rail of the highway he was driving on. He was 21. There he was speaking to me the day before, said 'See you tomorrow.' and now in a morgue. Kind of puts everything else into perspective.

If you follow rallying in America, or international maybe..
My Uncle Roger Freeman was killed in a rallying accident in America in July. Mark Lovell was driving the Subaru, which was competing in the Oregan Trails Rally. Cars are dangerous, there are no 2 ways about that.
The funeral's for Mark, and Roger were spectacular here in the UK. You just have to do these people proud when they have been taken away like this. Mark and Roger will be remembered forever in the rallying world.
My thoughts go out to the friends and family. Just remember the good times...

does anyone know if theres a freeware app for tracking menstrual cycles? just thought of tracking my girlfriends...

Step 1. make an entry in your calender for the last week and a half of every month.

I'd just like to make a Grammar Statement.
If indeed you did mean to type "girlfriends" which is plural, and means more than one, than I can see why you'd want to track it.
But If you mean you wanted to track the cycle that belongs to your girlfriend, you need to type "girlfriend's." The apostrophe makes it possessive.

well big lol
that prog of yours works the same like a calendar. only thing is when youre pushing like oct. 1 you will get a menu screen, which allows you the option to select in what period the girl is in, like dry,slightbleeding etc.
also you can select whether you can have sex with ur gf or not, or when do you need protection, or if she got cramps all sorts of stuff pretty funny actually^^ great find maybe im gonna buy it^^

I checked it out, pretty cool, even allows you to check off a day when she is PMSing (Which is just about every day)
But I think your gf would start wondering what was going on if you were taking her temp and giving her a mini-physical every day.

get the pill. i think its worth it. yasmine, recommended by doc with least side effects. PHP 680. there are cheaper but I'd rather not risk my wife's health.
I also tried to find an app but mostly not free.

There is the software called LaFeme+. It's prety good, however it can only keep the info on 1 female specie. Also it has info on the body temp and different level of aggression Wright me PM - will help

Letting out your Inner Geek... How we do.

From time to time, I find myself looking around and wondering "Why did I do that?", "What am I going to do with THIS gadget", and "OMG! *drool*". Yes, I did say it. Now you can too!
I've taken the next few minutes to sit here and let you guys see how I let my inner geek out. This picture was taken in August of this year after I added another two devices to my list. As you can tell below, I've got a good collection going. I'm always looking to add more, but I'm a bit of a cheapskate.
Originally, the idea was for me to start developing ROMs for each of the devices I had. Using the wonderful kitchen tools I've found, including the multi-device support ones, I was so happy to start...and then stop. I found myself becoming uninterested in developing ROMs, but kept collecting. Of course, this has caused some financial heart ship, but you know what, it's still sweet.
So, I say to you, this is my inner geek, his name is Steve, and he's getting out...

It's out on-loan to my girlfriend. She's using it as her GPS (with a BT GPS, of course). It lets her get out an explore without making me sit there and say "Turn Right Ahead".. I think I may switch it over to one of the Uni's before much longer though. She keeps complaining about the screen size... *sighs*

If we look dispassionately at all our devices, lots of them look pretty much like each other and they are really quite ugly indeed! No designer worth their salt would sign their names on any of them, including the iThingies in my opinion.
But we can love the ugly anyway. That is probably a consolation to most! Lol! We probably look past their skin and see through their windows into their souls.
Would this be a reflexion of our souls? Through the looking glass...

Second iPhone is a 3G 8GB. First is a 3GS 32GB. Mostly using the second iPhone as a dev device to test the stuff I try to create. Needless to say, it's not going well. I keep two devices on me, and active, at any given time. Right now, they're the iPhone 3GS and the AT&T Fuze/HTC Touch Pro. The Athena stays in the car ready for GPS Nav. The Kaiser sits in the bag I carry my netbook in as a backup (as I've just recently gotten backup batteries for my TP/Fuze). The Hermes goes for the ride in the bag sometimes, but stays at home sometimes too. Most of the others stay at home more than anywhere else...

I meant that here looks to be a reflection of a panda...Nice to hav backups of backups for your stuff...
By the way, your photoshopping skillz are fantastic!!! lol...

I want to share an idea with you all.
First off let me tell you about myself so you can get an idea of why I want to do this project.
I am a 24 year old ms patient. I go through things like morning sickness and memory loss just to name a few. Its a terrible disease but unfortunately there isn't much I can do about it. My name is michael. I used to be able to remember everything fine, and this disease is just starting to get to me. Besides the random agonizing pain, I'd have to say the memory loss is quite the most annoying part of the disease. I also have autism and don't recognize faces at all. Essentially in a nut shell my daily social life is not great because of these problems.
Now instead of waiting to die, like most do, I'm going to ask for feedback and suggestions or even help if you want, which I would appreciate ever so much.
I know how to program some and have time. I see a few things that would make my life and hopefully many other peoples lives easier, that suffer from the same problems I have, and maybe some other problems.
I essentially want to hook up a kinect to a hat, have the hat contain the processing equipment, such as a low power x86 board and big ssd for storage. Essentially I want to have another "brain" and "eyes". Now I admit this won't be the prettiest thing but, as long as I can make it work, I won't care. I got inspired and thought, hey! What if I could make a device, that would help me recognize faces, places, objects, and sounds! It could be a assistive device and would help me when my memory gets worse. I know Microsoft released more code for the kinect that would help to program for this stuff too.
I want to get some glasses, like the Google glass ones and have them and my nexus 7 be the interfaces for the information stored in the hat, such as pictures matched with names and other important information I have in there. In a perfect world I would want to be able to do a gesture if I was confused and didn't know who someone was and the device would go to archives and be able to show me whom they are and any information I have about them. I would also like to be able to keep my heart rate in the HUD as well, its important to know when you have ms.
I would also like to utilize object recognition to prevent myself from getting run over again, because it hurts, haha. I would program it to recognize objects outside and perform calculations and warn me if I am "blind walking" again.
I think I could also use this contraption to recognize temperature so I don't burn my mouth while eating or touching something that's too hot. My body just doesn't respond the way its supposed to sometimes.
I think I could also add a accelerometer to it, which would let me know if I were off balance , would save me from falling over and I think could help with my posture as well.
I'm thinking of more things this could help me with but if I had these, I would be the happiest guy on the planet, even with the agonizing pain of ms. I would be able to fight back against the problems I have that put me in more pain, or just plain make me look like I'm stupid. It would help me hold an job for sure. I would explain to my boss a million times, of why I have to wear such a contraption if I had to, doesnt bother me.
If you want to help, please let me know. I'd gladly accept donations as well, as my meds are not cheap, and take most of my income. Ideas are just as welcome too. If you helped me, I promise we'd be friends for life. I just can't go another day knowing I have these ideas and I am not putting them to use. Maybe if I got a prototype I could get a more fashionable device built for the other unsung heroes that have the problems I do. I appreciate your time so much.

Well I was searching ideas for my final year project of BS to work with kinect. The idea you gave is very good but the thing is its scope. It is covering a big scope problem while I have to make the project within a year and I don't have much knowledge of working with kinect. But I am interested in implementing this idea. If you will share more briefly, this could be implemented.

i kinda need a lil advice

i have been the victim of shenanigans and Its probably sad that i have found xda to be more of a community then the one i live in and opperate everyday. i know that i need some kind of assistance putting together a timeline od the shenanigans my computer was used for while being away i know if i do not figure out exactly how to show everything in a compelling and unarguable way I'm going to (God Forbid) held liable for stuff that i literally could not of possibly done or I am going to have to pay money that i already do not have (shenanigans) to fix this . Your probably wondering why im asking on here for any kind of advice or to be pointed to someone who knows some digital forensic stuff and that is simple . some of the smartest people in the world use xda everyday. also i just have a feeling this is the first step . so i am embarrass about this and do not want to give out to much info over the web but ill explain a little and see if anyone can help me out.

1) on January 30th i left my house , computer on and left for 3 weeks.
2) i got back and noticed my computer was used by roommates during this time and they commited the worlds dumbest attempt of mass fraud amd from what i can gather 10 other crimes including but not limited to federal assistance fraud , medi-cal billing fraud , 6 other government assistance fraud ordeals and also received 100k in pandemic assistance under my name, like i said using my laptop.
3)drained all accounts and put them somehow far into the negative. im assuming through others finding out before me and flagging transactions that PayPal just took cause i never responded to there attempts to find out why i was destroying my PayPal business account
4) they did all this with my laptop and didn't even attempt to cover tracks. didn't even use an incognito browser . it shows in my history in chrome all the places they went and me and my wife passwords used .
5) right after i left they must of grabbed my laptop and went to the part of the house that has the internet they pay for . they honestly left a breadcrumb trail in the likeness that only the worlds dumbest people would. i cant get over this part
6) please do not say go to the police, they sent me to civil court saying they don't care,
7)they also cleaned out everything i owned my house is empty. they are gone .
and last but not least i sadly spent allot of my life making choices that do not allow me the ability to just call the police. i know we are all the same , but this simply is not true . if i was to call the police they would show up and tell me good , and they hope my day goes even worse. it doesn't really matter but they are really offended about the face that i beat a case in which they tried to use corrupt tactics and lies to get me in trouble for something . bad cops suck
well that's my schpiel ill check back when i can . i don't know why im doing this right now lets just hope you guys got something that can take allot of stress of my plate and allow me to be the good father and loving husband i should be
