change the internal battery of MDA - MDA, XDA, 1010 Accessories

I'm looking for a new battery, looking around I found some codes : 35H10008-80, UP325385A4H, UP325385A5H, some of these (UP325385A4H, UP325385A5H) are the same of the MAC I-pod, and are sold at lower price (40$-50$) than the MDAs (80$-100$).
see: http://store.craytonelectronics.com/ipac1.html
Anyone can explain me the differnces?
Thanks

Im in Perth, WA, there are quite a few 750s among business users here. Telstra will always have the best coverage, followed by Optus, Vodafone then 3. (These are my own opionion)
3 usually has the best value for $ plans, with Telstra being the most expensive but if you are in the metro area all the carriers will be fine.
I have Tomtom and Garmin for the Palm running the generic 2.27 WM6 ROM.
Good Luck!
price is off the chain
better off buying ebay 1400mah
guys i have ordered this battery can someone tell how long that batterie last if u run browser , youtube and music etc for few hours ?

KAIS130?

All:
It would appear that my device is a KAIS130. Does anyone know how this differs from the KAIS100, KAIS110, and KAIS120?
NW
I have no idea how it differs - but I also have a KAIS130...
It would be interesting to see if you have any trouble registering on the HTC e-Club...
See this thread:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=332992&page=5
I believe we all have 130's. When you take your battery back off, there's a sticker ABOVE your battery. What is the country code? Mine's EU.

Different number of cameras!
From FCC docs

110: No camera
120: Both cameras
Not sure where the 130 came from

Mine is also KAIS 130. With date of manufacture 061107(TB02)/EU Yet I have none of the problems stated here Bought it in Rotterdam.
Has any one noticed that the battery also hasModel KAIS 160
These codes may not mean much in the solution of the registration and other problems
The KAIS130 is the standard HTC production version. The AT&T version will probably be the 100, etc. The T-Mobile Vario III might be the 120 version.

the Kais130 is the battery model number, not your device model. hence why its on the battery
id assume if they release an extended battery, it would be called the kais200 or something...

NO YOUR WRONG!!
Most Kaisers out now are KAIS130's the Battery is a KAIS160 go look at your battery if you want to know what Kaiser you have put your phone into bootoader mode by pressing and holding in the Camera and power button and then reset while holding those buttons in or pull the battery out an it will say KAIS130 on a small white sticker! I hate when people spread false info!! So please be smart before you post and do some research!
Has anyone else noticed that the battery is now grounded to the phone through the 4 gold tabs under the battery hence why the back of the battery is metal. I find this very strange also look at the hermes battery compaired to the Kaiser on the Kaiser we now only have 4 connectors as opossed to the hermes 6 on the Kaiser the 6th one i was talking about is now the whole battery on the back. Open yours up and look and you will see what I mean
oh sorry, got the number mixed up, yes the battery is 160, thats what i was refering to. no idea bout 130...

No YOU are wrong! The battery has only 4 contacts, do some research before spreading false info!! It's the truth, but I' just messing with ya
I actually started a thread about the battery and ground plate, seems that they are using it as an additional shield or ground plane. The thing to be carefull about is if buying a spare, make sure it's also got the plate.
Damn it lol... I didnt feel like pulling mine out and looking! Guess I'm getting old!

Odd, I would have expected them to give it a different number because of the different front. Good info though.
perhaps the purpose of the metal back and gold contacts is to dissipate the oodles of heat the batt generates?

I have the non Camera version ATT Tilt NC (8900) and it shows KAIS110 under the battery.
Having just had a new Kaiser delivered with KAIS130 on it, I would suspect that it means it's the next version up... It would make sense anyway
Charge/Headphone/Sync port failed after 8 months Orange have just sent me another.

Hi There!
I am owning a HTC Kaiser 130. The Model was sold by T-Mobile Austria. I don't know, where else this type of PDA was sold.

Welcome to the xda-dev forum Faity and it's nice to see someone who fills in their profile correctly. The wiki now covers all of this stuff (since the original posts are from way back in 2007) so those interested can find out the differences there. The T-Mobile Austria version may be similar to the one they sell (or at least sold - not sure if it's still avail here) in the UK and other parts of Europe (although NOT the USA).
KAIS130 - KAIS160? Confused!
Hi,
I have been using a TyTN II for about a year now. All of a sudden, it has developed a problem. If a call goes on for about 4-5 minutes, the phone powers off. Even with 100% battery charge. Rebooting doesn't work as it comes to the the screen with "smart mobility" and then powers off again. Once I connect it to mains and power on, it boots properly. After such reboots, sometimes it shows the battery empty, other times, it shows it at 95-99%.
Out of curiosity, I checked the phone. I found that the battery says KAIS160 3.7V - 1350mAh. Below that, it also says 4.2V DC. On removing the battery, the body (behind the battery) says KAIS130, 5V DC, 1 A.
Does this mean I have a wrong battery? Is the reason that the phone needs 5V and 1 Amp while the battery is a 3.7V?
My apologies if this question has been answered already or if this is the wrong forum. I felt this thread would be the most apt.

Default buying a german stellar (kaiser i think) off ebay - live in uk

Sorry every1 i posted this in the general section , i had plenty of reads but no advice so im posting it here cos the auction im interested in ends very soon. 'just wanna buy a german kaiser and use it in the uk by flashing it with english rom and using in uk network' u don't have to read the rest just answer me this please. is it possible, thanks guys
hello everyone, im glad to be back! haven't used this forum in well over a year and ive missed it. ive decided to get another ppc. i'm looking at getting the tytn 2 off ebay. basically i want just the most powerful spec ppc. apart from the shift and advantage (cant afford them) this seems the best choice. also i would like a qwerty keyboard although b4 i got by with the spb full keyboard but now i want a qwerty one. if anyone can suggest any other ppc's with a high spec let me know plz. i didn't wanna spend more than a 200 quid but after watching ebay for 3 days it seems i have to.i've got 300 quid but for that i'd like a ppc a decent memory card and some bluetooth stereo headphones such as the sony ones. luckily ive got still got loads software (i.e. tomtom) from b4 but that's from older os'es. the one on ebay is 200 buy it now but its shipped from germany.the whole lisitng is in german but at the bottom is says 'attention int. buyers this phone has german software' surely i can just flash it with an english rom such as dutty's? is that correct?just as i was leaving the forums last time. xda-dev had 2 take all the roms down due to a copyright warning from ms. does this mean i have to cook my own? sounds daunting. basically i just wanna know if this german stellar is gonna b compatible on english nets? and if anyones got any suggestions for another ppc. sorry for posting in the general section, maybe this could have went in a different board but i've got 21 hours or so till the auction ends. thanks guys. glad 2 b bk, gareth
p.s. i've got an almost new orbit with a cracked screen. anyone good at fitting screens, or wanna buy it? or sell me a screen lol. ( i still want a newer ppc though) this is why i left the boards- cracked me screen didnt i lol.
Default cmon ppl
cmon guys sum1 must b able 2 spare me a minute. the auction ends soon. 'can i buy a german kaiser, flash it wiv english rom and use on uk network'
no man. most of the times the device ID does not match along with the carrier rom of other operators. so if your device is german operator specific, i dont think it will match along with ur desired rom updated. and since u r planning to buy from ebay, you only have a less chance of getting the full advantage of knowing you can rom update into english
German to English ROM change should be OK

I don't think you should have any trouble - people take devices that started out with WorldWideEnglish on them and flash to different language ROM's all the time. The hardware is the same, the keyboard layout may be slightly different. You will have to follow directions here and Hard-SPL unlock, and may need to do SIM-unlock, but I know it's all do-able.
thanx 4 the reply
thanks a lot guys,well.. what do i do here? 2 pieces of conflicting info from 2 experienced guys. shall i take this as it should be ok but theres a possibility of it going wrong? i called uk 02 tech support, they wouldn't tell me anything 'cant make any guarantees, we dont support this etc.etc.'the guy has posted it on uk ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....m=270225685569&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=017
is it not worth the risk then do you think
n e got 1 for sale? lol
i wouldnt listen to what ayyu3m said at all. true the ID will be different, but that is one of the reasons we use hardspl. we can bypass the CID and install rom from other kaisers. no problems whatsoever, expect maybe the keyboard layout
yea i agree, cid is counrty id isnt it? still not sure what 2 do. ill have to check the standard german keyboard layout. 200 quid is alot to waste but then again i could whack it back on ebay.has anyone actually tried this?cheers 4 ur reply m8, and the others all appreciated
CID=carrier ID

I am aware about the Cuboosh scandal that occured not too long ago. I however, am not like him but am a genuine owner of a MDA Vario 3 which I want to get rid of as I can't cope with a Windows mobile device.
As mentioned, if anyone is willing to purchase it and lives in the UK (preferably London) then I'm willing to meet face to face which is what I prefer.
Just to add, the price is pretty good considering the numerous accesories that come with it- no cases or headphones need to be purchased. Moreover, the phone is literally untouched as I've recently claimed from Fonsesafe insurance as my old MDA Vario III became water damaged.
Oh, and moderators- sorry for hogging the boards with my ad but I really want to sell this phone

Personally, I have no issue with this. However, that being said, I think you might be better off with the likes of ebay. I think members here are now a little on the shy side now thanks to the fiasco that you mentioned. Good Luck.

Bump Bump...

Few things needed...

Just looking for peoples opinions about the best of the following...
Screen Protector - I'm looking for one that's really easy to put on without any air bubbles, has a good feel and also helps reflect sun light, I've always had trouble viewing my hd2 in sunlight.
Memory Card - Looking for a fast memory card either 8gb or 16gb will do me depending on the cost.
Battery - Looking for a standard sized battery to make my current battery a backup one, I want a good quality one since I've seen a few batteries that claim to be a certain mah but be different.
Case - I want something really low-key but will protect the phone, I really don't want a case but I only just dropped my phone and that messed up all the colours on the screen so I feel like I must have a case now
Any of your opinions on the above would be best, what do you recommend? Thanks
Cheap But Effective Gear
Hi, here are some links for you =]
All links will be for the UK by default, all prices in GBP (because I'm in the UK and can't find your location).
1. Screen Protector - I always thought the HD2 had some scratch protection built in, as my phone has had vigorous use/drops and not suffered any marks to the screen. Can't recommend you one as neiuther me or anyone else I know with a HD2 uses one!
2. Memory Card - PNY 16GB Micro SDHC from play.com. Listed as class 2 but transfers at ~class 6 speeds. This is the EXACT card I have been using since I bought my phone in xmas. I have had no issues whatsoever with this card. £27.49 delivered.
LINK - play [DOT] com/Mobiles/Mobile/4-/11540450/PNY-16GB-Micro-SD-Memory-Card/Product.html?_%24ja=tsid:11518%7Ccc:%7Cprd:11540450%7Ccat:Mobile+
3. Battery - be careful where you buy these from! A cheap chinese knockoff will do much more harm than good. Search using the serial/part numbers of the battery to find genuine products. The part number for the HD2 battery is BA-S400 and outputs 1230MaH. Official battery £15.99[/URL] delivered from play.com
LINK - play [DOT] com /Mobiles/Mobile/4-/12495682/HTC-HD2-1230-MAH-Battery/Product.html?_%24ja=tsid:11518%7Ccc:%7Cprd:12495682%7Ccat:Mobile+
4. Case - FREE CASE!! Found in a different thread here on xda. Pay only shipping costs. Havn't bought one myself but seems plenty of other xda users have and have had their products delievered, so its not a scam! I was sceptical at first but no need to worry, just visit stealthguards [DOT] com
Sorry about the link formatting but xda won't let me post links.. if any mods see this page would they kindly verify me?
Hope all this helps =]
