Hello there,
My XDA stopped charging yesterday and i dont know what is wrong with it.
I used to charge it directly from the adapter using the pin but i have also tried to charge it with the cradle with no luck.
I expect the phone to run out of battery soon and i am so confused about what to do.
I have been to an O2 shop and the Carphone warehouse and they didn't have any chargers available.
Can anybody help?

Cradle charges my XDA II
I have only had my O2 XDA II for 3 weeks, My cradle used to need the charger pluged in to it to charge. However the other day my XDA II was running low on battery, It was in the cradle without the charger (left it at work). I was downloading some shareware when i noticed that it was charging. I thought that this must just be an error on the display, but it charged to 100%!. I thought it wasn't supposed to do this? I have used this method to charge ever since and it works...any explanations??
Recently a bad charger accident fried my nexus one. On investigation it was found that the mid chassis has been damaged and if i get a replacement for the same the phone should work fine. Since am in India, this phone is not covered under warranty nor are the part available. Can somebody help me by pointing me to site wherein i can buy the spares for the phone. I found this site in China but they are not selling it as of now.

The part shown is the one that has been damaged.
Great find thanks

I stopped using my home charger because a few days ago, I'd plug it in, it would show it was charging but I'd wake up and it would be almost dead. Next night, same thing. I plugged it in one day, watched it, and it was LOSING power pretty quickly.
I think my charger has a short as well.
I think im having a problem with my charger as well, If i use the A/C charger when I wake up the phone is extremely hot so I play it safe and use usb and a blackberry charger
hi dudes
my galaxy i9000 does not charge!
i tried to charge it by a nokia n8 USB cable, cause i had forgotten my charger
after that whatever charger i used, even its own, no response!!!
now it doesnt work
several repairmen said that all the gadgets are ok, but the path from the charging socket to the port is cut off somewhere, and nobody has the map for this path!
please, please, please someone help me and provide me with the maps.i desperately need'em!
i spent 700 bloody bucks on this phone.my gmail is [email protected]
Never ever try another phone's charger on Galaxy S, or any expensive phone as a matter of fact. SGS, has different voltage and ampere requirements.
By repair men, do you mean Samsung Service centre? Service centre is your best option if you do not want to risk your phone.

Do you mean: 12kV/80A or more???
Tried standard and travel HTC chargers - no problem. Generic 1A/5V car charger - no problem.
Stop saying fairy-tales, please
I don't know about you, but when I tried using different chargers, the touch on my phone did not work. And I do not want to take the risk to screw up my 600$ phone over some 10$ charger... Get genuine stuff and be on the safer side.

Myhm. First of all, If i'd be you, I would do two things:
1. Compare parameters on orgiginal charger and the replacement
2. Look in accessory threads, for example First in a row
You know, I'm not you, so I like to learn before I write complete bull**** somewhere.
A little bit of education to be on safer side.
Stop being a ***** man. People make mistakes like I did not see the requirements for the charger before hand. The common notion is that if the pin/jack of the charger fits into the phone, the phone will get charged. That is why I said don't be like me and plug in random chargers which fit in the usb port.

It is easier to buy a new charger, comes much cheaper

You stated previously: "Never ever try another phone's charger on Galaxy S, or any expensive phone as a matter of fact.", what is absolute bull****.
As it is shown in the thread linked by me, ANY charger with current bigger than 900mA will work properly and safely.
The issue, that you have plugged something completely irrelevant to your phone doesn't means that SGS will work ONLY with original charger. Period
And Merry Christmas.
Hi I've got my DS7 for a while now but 2 days ago it stopped charging battery.
I thought maybe the charger is broken so I plugged it to my laptop via USB cable only but every time I've tried my laptop crashed and turned off ( I've got Asus G72GX which have safety switch when there is issue with power ).
I've tried also to connect it to my PS3 to charge it but no sucess too.
Right now I can't do anything about it because Dell Support told me that even if my DS7 is still on warranty I can't calim it because I bought it from Amazon from original owner, bastards ...
Any ideas ? Is it common issue with DS7's ?
No this is not common. Was it like this when you first bought it?
The s7 will not actually say it's charging if it's not on a 1/2A source. Pretty much only dedicated chargers can provide 1/2A, most laptops and pcs and etc usually dont.
You can get a cheap charger replacement at Amazon.

It was allright before.
I just bought new charger on ebay to check if its the charger or the actual device issue but it will arrive probably after christmas.
Thanks everyone.
Hello guys!
You have been helpful to me once, i was hoping that you will be able to help me again.
On friday morning my Xperia Z battery went flat, my phone turned off and all that stuff. You can imagine my surprize when i plugged the phone to my wall charger and nothing happened. It's like this still although the phone was plugged to the charger these past two days. Has anyone else encountered this, and managed to solve it?
Thanks in advance
S.
P.S. Yes, i did google, found even two or three topics on the matter, but no dependable answer. :|

It was happened for me same day same time. It is really annoying and I can't even restore my device to factory original set. I spend all yesterday night to find all possible solutions. Yes I tried (hard reset), (charged on USB duck and PC for 24 hours).
There may be some problem with your charger. My X10Mini did not charge with normal charger suddenly, so I changed charger and works well. I think you should try another charger or dock.
