I would just like to no if anyone has seen this before, because it has to be some kind of scam, but i would like to no if anyone has used this and if so, is it legit???
What the heck :O. I seriously don't think they are legit, maybe stolen !? I just wrote an email to them. And they claim a 24 months warranty!. Maybe they are trying to fool someone and get some money. Don't know

A quick check around finds.
Very little onthe web about a company that is supposed to have been in business since 1996.
Not registered at Companies House.
Web Site was created in August this year.
And this is their trading address.
NEW-TOPICS STORE
45 Gardner Rd
Lancaster, Lancashire
Which looks like this.
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=45+...=J6hLmT1PwSEAVVM18tIQSg&cbp=12,313.75,,0,6.87
So. Make up your own mind.
Ciao.com does have some customer reviews but I have not read them yet apart from one who said he could not complete the transaction as their PayPal would not take payment
Just like I suspected. Clearly there's no STORE around that corner .
I found similar fooling techniques being applied on eBay, ebay.fr to be exact.
eBay remove some of them and notified by email too. I guess all those 100% positive feedback are f**kers trying to pull money easy. Btw. can anyone explain me if the Buyer Protection works for these cases on eBay ?
I sent them a email too and i seen where the address took me in the uk, also i looked everywhere for this site cant find anything on it, i couldnt find the address in italy where it is being run from.
The website is part of prostores, where you can set up your own website and sell stuff, and its run by ebay, soo ummm i dont no, i dont really want to pay that money to find out to be honest.
also had a look on ciao, it dont look good the guys payment was cancelled but this was a while ago, they have updated since then.
anyone willing to give it a try???
Scam.there are lots of "web stores" that offer such low prices.most of them in china.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA App
Yes, but the stores in Chine offer their models, China made, for that reason they're cheap.
im starting a new business and im looking for an email service provider that i can get push notifications to my cell (epic touch 4g). i know those aint free like gmail or hotmail but looking for something good but economic
can anyone recommend any thing?
http://www.google.com/apps/intl/en/business/index.html
It costs $5 a month, and you'll get [email protected] and you'll be able to add different business tools/apps to your account. It will work like regular Gmail, and it's easy to set it up on your phone. 30 days free trial.
any other option out there i could possible consider before deciding on this one
i used 1and1 when i started my business. it came with 50 email slots for employess and a stock website that was easy to change around. I was very happy with them and their service.
alaman68 what do you use now?

nothing, sold that business to a bank for a lot of TARP money
I am planning another company in the few months and i definitely will use them again because it was so easy. One word of advice, when you check different registries for name availability, they will hold that name so you can't take it from godaddy to myfreedomain.
Give 1and1 a look. they also have a sales department you can call with questions to make sure they do meet your individual needs.
thinking of going with Gmail for business i use the trial and see how it goes
hey the business im starting is a trucking business and have been having trouble with coming up with the name thats not already being used by someone else
We will work CA, AZ, NV, NM, TX , mainly with Produce and Dry freight we bring in alot of international product into the states (yes i know this is waaaayyyy off topic but if you can help that be great)
cant find anything so last resort is
740 Transportation ... what do you guys think???
Gmail All the Way and +5 more and you can add 25 gigs to your account. Really Good.
The problem with gmail is the support. It was impossible to receive decent support... I agree with free service = no support. But not when you pay.
Look for a hosted exchange company that is available on phone, by chat or email. It was the major point in my decision.
Hi to all,
I want to share with you what appened last month with fastcardtech site... I already bought a zopo zp100 and I was really satisfy about service so I decide to bought a new one but white.
Reading internet site I saw that two models are available but I was interested only in the completely white one so I ask availability at support center of fastcardtech that confirm by mail the availability.
After two day I release the payment and in a week the phone was shipped.
Where is the problem? The phone received was the other one.
After 1 month they could give me a 3% discount (6USD due to account limitation) on next order that I'll never do cause It's not sure what they will ship.
I didn't report all the mail between us where they wanted to refund (6USD) and after 2 weeks no paiment was released so I asked and they wrote back to call support center...
I'm writing this post cause the site is really cheapest but pay attention cause if there is a problem you'll not have support... In some case you feel victim of a joke...
Bye.
P.S. attacched the chat transcript for all the detail
Sorry for what happened
i faced the same problem they listed a phone with high specification at a high price yet it was just specifications hacked in kernel the phone was not of quality as it was priced i bought it at USD 295 yet other phones of exact spec without hacking kernels were at USD 165 so if you are buying online its better you buy from sites with payments protections like escrow of aliexpress as the product i bought there was real coz it had to wait for my confirmation the payments to be made which force the sellers to be sure of what they are doing.
In fact the item was shipped with very low prices i never requested for which led me to be over taxed as the tax authority had to do it by themselves.

i was about to buy from them but it think i will consider it twice
the posthumous fame[/B] should be re-considered by all Internet Shops
I don't know what to tell everyone, but I ordered from them and didn't have any problem other than I paid $2.99 for them to root the phone which was never done nor refunded.
I used EMS shipping and had my phone within a week; the tracking was a bit wack, but I figured it out and it even worked.
Everything works great on the phone and came as promised. I can't comment on customer service other than they never responded about a refund for the $2.99.
Would I order from them again? Maybe, but you might have to cross your fingers and hope you're lucky but my experience was acceptable.

Here's one I busted on aPad.tv.com forum; regarding Hyundai T7 Exynos 4 quad-core processor Tablet PC:
me: I ordered 1 a week ago. It was supposed to have been in stock, but when I checked on the status it was still unshipped. I was beginning to wonder if the T7 even existed; so what aPadTVadmin said about them being in stock, makes since now. I guess most of these online stores get all their stuff drop-shipped, am I assuming correct?
aPadTVadmin: I spoke to DP a couple of days ago regarding the T7 for another reason and all T7 units have been shipped out. This was Thursday. If you ordered 1 week ago it would have shipped out nearly same day. I witnessed with my own eyes a large stock of T7 Hyundais being processed for shipping out last time I visited there.
Please give me your order number so I can validate it and check with them for you.
me: BUNCH OF SCAM ARTISTS! I contacted the manufacturer today and found out that they don't even start shipping them until March 7th, 2013. SO THERE'S NO WAY THAT ANYONE EVEN HAS T7'S YET, EXCEPT FOR A FEW ENGINEERING SAMPLES THAT WENT OUT. SO MUCH FOR SEEING THEM WITH YOUR OWN EYES... MORE LIKE LYING OUT OF YOUR OWN MOUTH.

this guy who wrote this is also part of the scam; he want's you think that the company actually ships a good product, while the truth is, what you'll get is an imitation of the product you order, if at all that; these guys are all in cahoots, and they're on every forum & youtube video out there. They are good at what they do & once they ship the inferior product, if you return it, you lost all your money, point blank.
aliexpress.com is the best site to buy tablets/phones from china. they have buyer protection, and the money isn't released from your account till you confirm the device is received and working.
Scam
I ran into the FCT trap too. Should have done some more research beforehand .
I ordered an HDC Note 3 clone from them and paid through Paypal. They provided a Singapore shipping number and the next day told me the phone is out of stock and was not shipped. Meaning a fake shipping number was provided. The same time the same phone is still listed on their website as "in stock" and questions of potential customers are answered.
They told me to choose an alternative phone which I did with another HDC N9002. 35$ more expensive which difference I paid. They did not ship, after a number of reminders they however provided again the same (!) fake shipping number as before. So the item was never ever intended to be shipped. They play for time and money to get over the 45 days to launch a Paypal dispute. So be careful.
Currently a dispute for full refund is ongoing.
Stay away from these scammers!
SCAM artists
I'm also getting countless fake shipping numbers regarding broken tablet that I actually received from them.
Beware of FCT!
They are always delaying with shipping (some items they never ship). Their policy is to provide a bit lower prices than the others at first sight and then add extra fees for nothing and eventually ship the item you ordered when it is already outdated.
Fake shipping numbers are their method of delay.
FCT
I recently ordered from FCT and of course before reading all the forums of countless individuals who have been scammed or dooped by these guys.
Anyway after 2 weeks from placing my order I received a tracking number followed by another tracking number 2 days later (weird), then a week later it was scanned into the U.S, 2 or so more days it actually arrived at my door!!! (bing bong)
I was pretty stoked however, once I opened my package (HDC GT N9000 Note3) one thing was missing ...No stylus!! so after numerous calls to these guys via Skype (preferred and only method to contact them) I finally speak to a man who tells me that if I buy another phone they would include the stylus plus a gift free of charge....wait the phone was advertised to include this?? blah blah something shipping he began to ramble on about.... all n all pointless
I'm now a month into having my phone which appears to be pretty effin exact to the Note3 however yesterday my phone just disconnected from my network and will not re-connect. I cannot reach a soul at this place leaving me with a fancy mini internet tab/paperweight/possibly shooting target..
Basically they were great until I gave them my money and the phone is awesome however customer service is a huge key to running any successful business and this is something they LACK.....
GOOD LUCK!

Simple question: Should Google re-implement the pre-order system?
Hopefully some "people of power" within Google will look at the stats generated from this Poll, and adjust their game plan accordingly.
I personally think the pre-order system is the only way to conduct sales on a Lunch date of a high-demand new product for a several reasons, some of them being:
a) Allows both the Manufacturer and/or Google to accurately gauge the market demand prior to launch, and thus create/plan stock accordingly.
b) Allows accurate shipping times to be predicted based on the volume of orders, rather than playing a "guessing game".
c) Allows a specific amount of Launch Date devices to be in stock to at least meet the demand of some of the "on the day purchases", while still achieving the "sold out effect" marketing scheme, if they want.
d) Consumers are more comfortable being informed with expected wait times for orders; comfortable with the fact that the device is already on pre-order (now it's in the hands of Google to roll out the devices). AND consumers don't have to keep checking a website in order to find out if it's available again or not.
The bottom line is: The pre-order system is a more professional and organized approach to selling a high demand item, from only one online source.
Furthermore, I think that Google Play should start taking orders now for the re-stock of Nexus devices, so that even if it has to put on back-order, at least the consumer knows they're in-line/queue for the device, when it becomes available, no more frequent and unnecessary effort in consistently checking back.
I would prefer it would over refreshing lots

google could care less about the stats from an xda post... we comprise of probably less than 0.01% of the buying market for the n4
I think they should!. Thing is.... Pre ordering gives us as the consumer the option to give interest and thus giving Google the information needed to generate a general clue as of demand. At the moment, the only demand they can calculate is site activities.
As its been mentioned all over this forum, both here in the UK & Internationally. Google, has really shown themselves to be very amateurish on how they have conducted there orders and allowing the customer to show interest in purchasing there products.
Poorly managed I hear you ask?!... Its been a complete embarrassment for such a big company!.

Well if you want the device, you want the device. You're going to pay either now or later, doesn't make a different.
Better to be informed and secure that your device is on order and not "up in the air".

For something like nexus 4 I would definitely put down my money even it was 6 months before shipping.
It should make a eu play store devices... thre are no custom between states in europe, why is only in 5 countries ._.
There was problems when they did preordering before however there was only really 2 problems they needed to fix rather than abandoning preorders completely.
First the problem with the nexus 7 was that as orders came in it didn't change the estimated delivery timescale. If the site updates the estimate even if it gets to be weeks at least you know what to be expect. How hard is it to say we have x thousand for release, y thousand a week later and update the estimate accordingly as ordered are placed.
Secondly the other problem was they ended up sending out newly placed orders immediately while seeming to forget about those that preordered. This is something that should have been fixed quite easily by simply fulfilling orders in the correct order.
I agree that if they did preordering properly it would be better than the current system.

Haha says who?
Honestly, I would vote that Google leave the ordering/shipping business all together. They can still make great devices, but launch after launch, Google has proved that they just can't get a clue. If Amazon.com can give me free two day shipping on a 15 pound medicine ball and charge me $30, I think that Google should be able to successfully launch 5, yes 5 new products at the same time. And remember, this is not the first F'd up launch. Pre-orders for the N7 didn't go so well either.
Personally, I will stay with the Nexus line far into the future, however, no longer will I be purchasing from Google directly.
And PS, their ordering web site look like it is from 10 years ago, doesn't provide barely any useful information, and sometimes doesn't even get updated until after the even has happened (IE, someone receives and order even though their order says "Pending"). This is from the same company that created an app that can zoom all over the world and show us down to 100 feet what a street in, say, China, looks like.
Nah screw that. I like instant gratification, and want my stuff as soon as its announces.

I think google likes EU custumores buy million of Apple devices. And Apple thanks.
Google = :angel:
Google royally screwed up the launch, everyone can agree with that. Google should implement a preorder system and like you said allowed people to secure their place in line.
Even Apple allows people to do that via carriers (Rogers in Canada allowed people to pre-order). Looks like there's a lot Google needs to learn before they get this right as their Nexus 7 launch wasn't that good in the first place.

Agreed.
It's now sub 1200 Euros in Germany, if you look around a bit. Nearing 1100 in a few places.
Price has cratered harder and faster than any phone in living memory.
Samsung must be pumping these out of the factory pretty quickly, and not intending for new models to take as long as Fold 1 to Fold 2.
I can see this going below 1000 around Black Friday, and definitely by the New Year. If it's not already replaced by the end of Q1 '21, I'd imagine the phone might see significant development and community involvement, below 1k.
You're insane.
Sent from my SM-F916U1 using Tapatalk
Really, care to explain why? Lowest retail price has dropped over 700 Euros in less than 2 months.
Samsung are well known for front-loading pricing, and quickly tapering it to distributors and wholesalers, but it's never been quite like this. The device is clearly intended to sell in volume, and not be the flagship for anything like as long as the Fold 1.
Re: development, plenty of 800-1200 Euro devices see lots of development.

In the next two days I am going to buy a brand new in box Z Fold2 for €1.000 or less in Germany.
Not from a shop (several are offering them for €1.150 already) granted, but in Germany a lot of Z Fold2 have been included in a subscription renewal package where people just keep their current phone and monetize the Z Fold2.
I see the prices going down almost daily. It's a simple matter of supply and demand.
Check out https://www.ebay-kleinanzeigen.de/
The same thing happened with previous Samsung flagships.
LG devices also depreciate very quickly, but that is because noboby wants them and LG has to lower the RRP to sell them.

I know it's probably a foreign concept, but supply chains and retail channels are relatively competitive in Europe .. particularly Germany.
Probably seems unreal to you when informal price fixing in a hugely non-competitive market rules in the US ... and you just got a Verizon Fold 2 for $$$$$$$$$$, with no hope of waiting for discounts.
Why do you think anyone with a clue in the US buys from European retailers? Price including tax in Europe (which you don't pay) is usually much cheaper than price excluding tax at US retailers, save for Apple. That's what no competition does.
And now you're mad and refuse to believe anything.

I don't think any contract phones have been branded / locked for 5-6 years in DE ... and he appears to be implying these are secondhand contract phones. I'm not even sure heavily subsidised pay as you go phones are branded anymore.
Lowest retail price for sealed NIB Fold 2 in DE is 1149.99 today. It has been lower. Trend is still downwards quickly though.
I bought one of these z fold 2 of Germany.
1215€ and came sealed... I activated Samsung care+
I dont know the reason of the low prize of those phones, but are real and legal.

Now it is sometimes a little bit cheaper but ok .... I use it for over a month now and I love this phone ! So great stuff Samsung did here ...
You can buy these used for around $1400 US off of Ebay (which is around 1250 Euro, which is what I see it for on the German eBay site). Hoping for a slight bit more of a price drop from Black Friday, but I noticed that Samsung is still selling it for its original price, and they've dropped the price of trade ins by around $200.
I don't know why anyone would have paid full price in the US as it was on sale the opening day at every possible outlet and you would have had to literally give them more money than they were asking for the device in order to pay MSRP; I paid 1600 directly from Samsung's site on pre-order for the unlocked variant and others did better. Day one the latest greatest is always going to be more expensive than it will be just a short time later; you all know that, I'm not telling you something you didn't know. You do need to put it on a level playing field though, you can't compare the MSRP here to the actual price somewhere else at a different time, you have to compare actual price at the same specific time in order to get a valid comparison.

I'm looking to buy it again, and I'm not seeing all these great deals. Samsung's site is $1999, unless you trade in a device. The deals on eBay are ok for a used device, but not great. Amazon has some refurbs for $300 off, which is ok, but again, it's a refurb, to which they only promise that you won't notice a problem "holding it at arm's length". I haven't seen any sign of a new unit coming down in price from $2k.

The same thing happened with previous Samsung flagships.
LG devices also depreciate very quickly, but that is because noboby wants them and LG has to lower the RRP to sell them.

Be very wary of purchasing a phone tied to a network contract.
These phones may get blacklisted a few months down the line if the original owner doesn't pay the bill, or if they have insurance and claim a month or two later that it has been lost or stolen.
... I know this from experience ... you could end up with a 1000 euro "tablet" that cannot use a sim card anywhere in EU

It's good advice, and I am worried about it. I see a number of devices for sale that say they're on a contract. Kind of terrifying that someone decides to switch providers and suddenly my phone is blacklisted.
Starting to hope for a Black Friday sale!
