I am struggling to use my SonyEricsson HBH 35 Headset with my Tmobile MDAIII. But after a while the BT Stack stops working and I have to turn BT on and off to be able to use the headset again. Tmobile Service Line told me that they are aware of the problem and they will post a fix for that but no time frame was giving. Therefore I was wondering whether the latest Imate PDA2k Rom was having the same BT problems. Which version of BT stack is on this rom? Is it possible to copy the necessary files onto the MDA III and make it work with the never version?
PDA2K has the same issues with the BT Stack. In fcat it is just awful.

Hell, its worse than 'just awful'....
...The Bluetooth on the PDA2K is just downright unusable.....
...I am still holding my breath, praying to GOD they get a real fix out and not just a 'here ya go' patch with more problems in it......
BT version... MDA III new ROM
I would like to know which version of the BT you guys have = which is most current for MDA III. To verify this go to settings/connection/bluetooth an check in About .
I have heard some news that ROM 1.20 is being tested internally, and somebody promised me to provide it to me. I am really waiting.. as current one keeps turning on device every minute...
have a hcb-30 bluetooth carkit that worked great with my Qtek 2020, but i cannot seem to get it to work with my qtek 9090....it finds the qtek allright and pairs with it, but cannot connect....my bluetooth version is 1.0.0 build 2200...
hope they get a fix out soon...

You may tried that DON'T PAIR the HBH35, Afterwards, use a Bluetooth connection wizard to add it. This may be OK to add HBH35.
I don't know how those incompetent idiots could release the blueangel with such a obvious bluetooth problem, HOW CAN THEY NOT see it! the error messeges pops up so frequently.
Go for it, version 1.5
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?p=65548#65548
I couldnt get 1.5 to work on my pda2k, cant overwrite certain files... how did you do it?
I didn't do it as i don't have a BT headset yet. because of these treads I'm waiting before i get the headset, gps, and keyboard for bluetooth

you don't have it yet and you are telling other people to go for it! i dont think it works for the pda2k
Did you read or post first?????????????????
As you can see Guest and firebird say it worked to some degree for them on the PDA2K (MDAIII). Since I didn't have a BT headset to try myself I thought I would help you by pointing you to someone who had.
Read posts before blasting back.

Subject: BlueTooth manually updated on PDA2k to 1.5.081
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=11729&highlight=widcomm
Since I didn't see in any thread about someone updating their PDA2k to the latest widcomm drivers... Just an FYI, I copied the files from the other thread onto my PDA2k. Seems to be working. Will test further to see if I'm still getting memory issues like before.
NOTE - I used Resco to copy the files over. There were several warnings that I was updating a file in ROM.. but I went ahead and did that anyway...figured I could hard reset the device if need be.
just a warning, the ROM files he was talking about overwriting, cannot be restored by doing a hard reset, it is permanent. if it messes up you will have to re-flash your pda with a new copy of the OS. that's what i had to do since i couldnt get it to work
Hi all,
Since I think we all can agree to that Bluetooth on Qtek 9090 is ****e, I've been snooping around a bit, and eventually I managed to get a brand new upgrade from Dangaard
This patch upgrades the Bluetooth Stack from build 2200 to 3500, and I have experienced some great improvements since I upgraded the device. I’m not done testing yet, but I’ll let you guys know if I find something interesting. I can’t post the file right now because the only link I have to the internet at the moment is my GPRS connection, but it was my understanding that Dangaard will post it on their site within a few days anyway.
I’ll get back to you with more information soon.
Mojn.
cool, please let us know....
However, if you have such a good relationship with DAANGARD, could you please aske them about XDA2 and SE?
THANX
buzz
Found it
http://www.mywindowsmobile.dk/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=24
The site is in Danish, but it says that you have to copy both files to the Qtek and then execute them from the file explorer. First do the WWE one, then the Patch file, and then make a soft reset.
That'll do the trick ;-)
Have fun.
Hi,
Has anyone tried these patches? Does it works?

I have installed them. Before these patches my Qtek 9090 would turn on by itself when I have paired to the bluetooth carkit. Now it does not do that anymore. I never had problems using the bluetooth carkit together with bluetooth TomTom. So I can not say whether the patches have solved the issues when using bluetooth headset together with navigating using TomTom bluetooth.
've installed and tested the BT patches. I had several problems with the BT headset that are now solved.
- Headset was not reconnected after power off and on again: solved
Now it behaves in a strange way, that the BT keeps connected while the device is powered off and when you turn it on again, BT turns OFF and then On again in a second and the headset is reconnected.
Let's see if this has an impact on battery, as prior the patch, the battery was going down dramatically if the headset was paired!
For the moment I can recomment it, I have a Qtek9090
bluetooth patch
It's a shame to make a path after selling a defecting device.
Each patch that i have tested doesn't work enaugh for me.
It resolve some bugs but audio quality and crackssss are already here.
I have qtek 9090 and motorola 850. Poor audio quality and i have to stay front of the device to speak. If i stay front of it work well.
Is there another patch to test after v3000 and V3200 because it doens't resolve audio quality and distance.
Im using the update from windowsmobile.no ( aka mywindowsmobile.dk )
Found this one
http://www.qtek.nu/default.asp?nc=9683&id=110&element=0
It should update
GSM Radio
Bluetooth MMS Klient
Fix the sound troubbles for the reciver of a call from the phone.
can be downloaded here :
http://www.qtek.nu/files/BA_WWE_BP_12200_126_10600.zip
I wont/cant do anything with it, since it will only install on Swedish 9090, but maybe some off you guys can get the important files out of it??
yep i agree can someone post the important stuff?
I have Swedish QTEK 9090 and i also had installed this new ROM.
It wont fix this well known Jabra and Qtek crackling problem.
It's english, the above ROM 1.22 and instals on english Qtek... I've just done it.

All Rom's released in Scandinavien are English.
The installer checks the country code on the phone and wont installed if it's not Swedish.
Well it is suppose to not installe, but for some reason a Norwigean guy over at windowsmobile.no got it installed without problems.
It wont install on mine, bought in Norway.
Does anybody know where to change the country code??
download
Non of the links work, can someone post the cab file?
Hi all,
first wanted to say that it is a great forum.
I just came across it couple days ago, and there has been many things that I found here that improved my Qtek 2020i.
but there is one thing that i havent found in here.
I use tomtom 5.21 with a bluetooth GPS receiver. it worked fine until I bought a bluetooth headset. If im using TT to navigate and answer a call via bluetooth headset it works fine, but when i hung up the call, then Qtek looses connection to GPS, then picks it up again in about 10 seconds but runs with a big delay. I have to restart tomtom and then it is back to normal (quite annoying when driving thru town)
any of you have that problem??
thanks for help.
Hi there,
My problem might be related : the device seems unable to use both the headset and the GPS (with TT) at the same time. I don't know why. I've got a Qtek ROM at the moment, I'll see if the latest O2 ROM with upgraded radio stack does any good.
See you.
Right. Just switched to PUG's .162 ROM with O2 stuff stripped.
Alas, it comes with Broadcom stack and there's no SPP inside so I can't connect to my GPS ... Pug if you read this, help
Cheers !
seems strange: I replashed my stock O2 bloatware & buggy 169 Rom with pug's flavour, to give me the 162 rom and Radio version 1.04.
My GPS bonds fine tihe BT, and I can use TomTOm and a BT headset at the same time. Did you flash the Radio to the (far better) 1.04) when you upgraded the Rom?
I've heard quite a few people say on these forums that for Alpine, one of the most stable & speedy setups is the 1.10 WWE Main Rom, the .162 Pug rom with the O2 stuff stripped out, and the 1.04 Radio.
Joe
Yeah actually it works fine now. I made another post while I was looking for help, because the Alpine wouldn't find the SPP service when interrogating the GPS. I simply switched the GPS off and back on, and the problem was gone. I wish I'd tried that before the dozen ROM combinations I spent the afternoon testing
And indeed, I'm now running 1.11WWE/1.04.00/1.11.162 PUGS w/o O2 stuff, and finally TT accepts to work with the headset while using the GPS. What a trip !
Cheers !
Can the 6510 be used as a bluetooth GPS? I have a Hermes and would like to be able to bond it to the 6510 for GPS use. I have played with it some in the past but could never get it working.
Never Mind....
I just upgraded to a Kaiser... Problem fixed...
google for:
gps2blue or gpsgate or gpsproxy.
i use gps2blue it's free

Good Call.
Changing COM ports?
I've got a 6515a and a Hermes. Prior to upgrading to WM 6.1 on the Hermes, I was able to connect the two devices for GPS thru bluetooth, but now I can't get a connection. Is there anyway to change the COM port for bluetooth Serial porting? My Hermes only gives me the option of COM 1,3,5,8, but 6515 broadcasts on 4. Any way to change 6515 to 5?
I think many people, including me, would like this.
http://www.locosystech.com/product.php?zln=en&id=49
and here is the specifications.
http://www.locosystech.com/download/receiver/TMC2001~3_datasheet_v1.0.pdf
I had a few emails with the support people, here is a relevant excerpt:
"Regarding to navigation software, our TMC Protocol has been supported by
major navigation software providers,
such as : Destinator, Horizon, iGo, Maction, Mapfactor, Sygic. "
All the rest is in the specs.
Problem is, it connects with mini USB. OK, mini to micro converters do exist, but will it still work?
Hmm, doesn't seem so. It has a USB conector, but which isn't carrying USB signals, it has a simple serial port instead. So the PND would have to be specifically made to work with it.

That is indeed a better price. so bought one.
Can confirm it is working well with iGo8. receiving TMC without a problem.
The only annoying thing is you need to connect the com2 manually. if you have done that it works.
looking for a solution on this. so far not found.
There is also the Royaltek RTG 2000 Bluetooth GPS/TMC receiver. You can get one for around €90 and it works just fine with iGO.
THE HD2 has TMC build in
if that is the case, good news.
please explain to us how to use it in navi program.
so far no one got it to work without bluetooth receiver.
shine the light..
Bump, I liked to know to get that working !
Confirm that
GNS TrafficBoxPlus FM9BT-C (google it) is working fine with HD2 and Igo8
please explain

Bump Up ! is it true? That would be so nice!
it is just a loose comment made and never explained how to.
when you look in the hypergps thread it is stated that it does not work on the HD2.
* BCM432x Chipset:
HTC Rhodium, HTC Leo, HTC Mega
Supports radio functions if renaming FMSDKWrapper.dll to FMS_API.dll with the above driver. RDS data cannot be received.
We are working on this device. Related thread: FM Transmitter on HD2

If i have understood it right rds and tmc is transferred the same way but the problem is extraction of the tmc data. the piece of software used for that named gfmapi does not work with the BCM432x Chipset build in the HD2
so far nobody managed to write software that can do this for our chipset.
for the time being we are left with the working bleutooth tmc receiver solution.
Another potential USB solution?
After extensive googling I found this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Evesham-Nav-Cam-7500-Tmc-Kit-12-VOLT-USB-CAR-CHARGER-/370400305941
It is a GNS FM9; I bought one. At first sight the connector seemed to be a standard mini USB (that is easy to convert to micro USB). Well, it IS USB, but the 8-pin type that is widely used in digital camera connectors by Fuji, for example. I opened it up; the first attached image shows how it looks inside. Looks fairly standard USB colour coding, although pin 4 (the black) is also wired.
I have an RJ11 type that I used with my Axim X51 through a windscreen mount. The second and third image show how that one is wired; attached as comparison / reference.
I understand that I would need USB host functions to use the first one with the HD2, which is under development. But could some clever folks confirm that it would be possible to solder a micro USB connector to it and end up with a usable hardware? Of course, subject to driver availability.
