Who have an italian QTEC9090 ... saving rom image

Hi all ...
surelly somebody have allready an italian qtec9090 ...
I want that someone download the rom image please...
Like this, we (italian) can upgrade the mda or others xda with italian os.

Hi Denis,
I got yesterday my new Qtek 9090 with Italian Rom.
I found the way out to dump it to the sd card (Thank you xda-developers) and for Monday (the 6.12.04) I will shurely be very happy to share it here for all they that need it.
Version
Rom 1.12.24 ITA of 09/24/04
Radio 1.02.00
Extrom 1.12.165

I don't think so!
If I could have a copy of the ROM but only dumped with d2s command I'll be able to change it and it's very easy too.
Can someone to post ONLY THE ROM no Extended ROM and Radio, jest the ROM duped with d2s.

The BT fix (version 3500) is included plus i think the mic problem has been fixed.

Geovass, please upload this ROM to the FTP of Xxda-developers. I have installed the newest Qtek 9090, but I am still having problems with the GSM connection. For some reason sometimes my Qtek 9090 would not be connected anymore, even though the Qtek shows all green bars. When I try to make a call nothing happens. Only a soft reset helps. Perhaps this new imate Rom would solve this.
Could you tell us what the version is of the radio?
My version shows 1.06.00
Extended Rom is 122.126 WWE

Is imate rom is the same file for english and french update ?

Browsing the clubimate ftp server i found those to ROMs:
Maybe they are new, cause the date is from 4. Oct. 2005.......

Im guessing the "_ship" part means thats what was shipped with the device.

Most of the available ROMs on the ftp contains the _ship. So i do not believe that it is the original ROM.
But users of the wizards could easily compare it. So this posting was just informatial......

I live in Italy and I am interested in buying a Wizard.
Up to now only the WWE edition is going to be available here.
The question is: is possible/easy to upgrade the rom with a Italian one?
Will the localized Italian rom be updated as frequently as the WWE will?

I have downloaded this ship rom and ran the installer to confirm the version. I got a really strange result that maybe others can tell me what they mean.
On the final confirmation screen before starting the rom update process it states that it is upgrading to model id of Prodigy with Image version 09.
What the heck is this, a beta pre-ship release maybe? The attached image clearly shows a picture of the wizard device so i'm wondering what imate are doing.
Needless to say, there's no way i was going to press next and actually install it as i wouldn't want to risk ending up with a 2 day old paperweight :wink:

Sure. You can use K-Jam or QTek9100 rom on Dopod 838.
Unlocked it first. Backup your original rom with "r2sd all" command.
And try to upgrade with K-Jam or Qtek9100 rom.

QTEK 9100 Upgrade ROM for English Version

I would appreciate if someone could help me.
I am very confused about upgrading ROm on QTEK 9100.
I Bought a QTEK 9100 in USA, it comes with the following ENGLISH version of software
ROM Version: 1.1.7.5
ROM date: 09/22/05
Radio Version: 01.01.10
Protocol Version: 4.0.13.16
Ext ROM Version: 1.1.7.105
I have red a lot about auopgrading, but finally I don´t Know wich is the right ROM for my device, I have found the following link for upgrading the ROM

You can use the information from this forum to upgrade your phone:

This is a Qtek official upgrade so you just need to run the installer and you'll be done with it without much hassle. I personally prefer i-mate's KJAM ROM since it is newer and in my opinion it runs a bit faster. To have i-mate's ROM in your Qtek, you have to do CID unlock (using Lokiwiz). Search the forum for this info.
I had a Qtek 9100 before.. it has a dead bluetooth hardware. Now, if you know where I can get this thing serviced I would appreciate it. Anyway, in place of my Qtek 9100, I purchased Cingular 8125, CID unlocked it.. and run i-mate KJAM's 2.17 WWE Rom.

Why do I have to make a CID unlocked, because I bought Unlocked, it means I can use it with any GSM Company.
When you made a ROM upgrade, you are also upgrading at the same time Radio Version, Protocol Version and Ext ROM Version.

You don't need drivers, just download and install Activesync 4.1 after that plug in your USB cable and the device gets recognized.

Whenever I go to this link it says "Windows cannot access this folder. Make sure you typed the file name correctly and that you have permission to access the folder.

i thoght qmat could only be used to flash from stock-rom to stock-rom?

This Rom here is a stock-ROM
So if i´m not wrong you can upgrade this ROM with GoldCard-Methode.
If i´m wrong please let now.

yes this is a stock rom, but my vario V is from t-mobile with t-mobile branded rom, zekon´s is o2 branded
...don´t know if this will work

I have a German Version and installed WWE and then French version with QMAT without problem.

remember, you can not install this stockROM without a hSPL
the hSPL is in working....
