Hi! In fact, I was thinking about the contrary, but I was wondering if this is possible to do. My aim is to unlock the T-mobile SIM, and the PDA2K ROM is SIM-unlocked. The MDA III device and the Imate-PDA2K device are the same. Today a new ROM has appeared for the imate PDA2K, but only imate members can download it. Tell me if I am right or wrong about all this. Thanks.

Do not uodate to new rom. It screws the Hands Free Profile.

Hi There,
I am buying a Wizard (MDA Vario) for an Australian friend of mine that's coming over for a visit and naturally she wants the wizard in English.
However, I can easily (and very cheaply) get the Dutch version from T-Mobile in the Netherlands since I am renewing my partners contract.
So I guess I need to flash a new WWE rom onto the Dutch T-Mobile...
My questions:
I am aware of the WWE I-Mate Rom that you can download from the club I-Mate ftp site.
1. Is this a good rom - and will it work 100% problem free with the Dutch MDA Vario?
2. Are there any other or better alternatives? any links to other roms? maybe a T-Mobile UK rom or QTEK 9100? which WWE rom is considered the most stable and non sluggish?

I have a Dutch MDA myself.
Just flashed the Imate rom today with WWE.
Seems to work great.
No problems at all.
Qwerty keyboard is the same too.

I just have my Qtek 9100, and am really happy with it! I used to work with a very old ROM version, something like 1.1.7.5, and patched it to the 2.8.7.1 version, which really improved software speed etc.
What I was meaning to ask:
I have runned several different ROMs now:
Qtek: 2.8.7.1
I-Mate: 2.16.9.1
MDA Vario: 1.6.2.2
(The version numbers may be off a bit, but I'm actually concerned about the brand)
Is there one, which is like -- the best -- or something like that?
I used them all, and for what I can tell, the Qtek and I-Mate are both fast, and the MDA Vario ROM was really like hell...
So, if you all could post wich ROM you use and why, please!

Except if you want the added BT functionality like A2DP... the iMate rom doesn't have A2DP which I discovered to my annoyance last weekend.
I just got a wizard and it is an MDA 1.6.2.4 WWE rom, which is not included on your list.
where can i download qtek 2.8.7.1 rom ??
I'm using 1.6.2.4 but if you send me the latest one I appriciate so I can upgrade my Qtek9100.

I just got a O2 Xda Mini S and it came "customized" to O2, in order to make it faster and to remove all the customisations from O2 i was planning to upgrade the rom, after researching in the forum i concluded that the i-Mate K-jam 2.1.6.9 rom is the most up-to-date and faster that my current rom.
Is that true?
I was planing on using the K-JAM_WWE_216901_2169101_020710_ship.zip file from your ftp, since it seems like a simple wizard-guided upgrade. Is this the best method?
Also i am afraid to do something harmfull to it by upgrading. will I be able to reverse the upgrade? or perform future upgrades?

I too have an XDA Mini S. ROM version 1.5.4.2 WWE.
I also have a T-Mobile MDA Vario. ROM version 1.6.2.4 WWE
Although they appear to be the same hardware, the T-Mobile is a lot faster than the O2.
I would also like to know if the K-jam update is suitable, and if not, where I can get an update for the XDA.
Hello, I did a search, but can't find this info. Does anyone know if the new Qtek rom re-sim locks the Cingular 8125 just like the new Imate rom does? Did anyone with the new Qtek rom actually try a different SIM card to test this?
I know that lokiwiz hasn't been updated to support these new roms, and I don't want to end up with a locked unit because I'm not with Cingular.

Hello everyone. i need you gurus' help. My device is dopod C800 bought in Singapore. Thanks to the genius who created the hardspl, i have succesfully flashed my device with Herald shipped WM6 rom on yesterday. However, the issue now is i don't think that the Herald WM6 rom comes with a netwiz configuration file for Asia network. The worst is when i'm trying to install a netwiz released by dopod in Asia, i am not allowed to use this software due to license issue though i can install it. (Obviously internally my device is not a dopod set anymore because of the herald rom flashed). furthermore, the netwiz released on HTC Europe website is only European networks only.
is there anyone who has the same problem like me and can offer some help? thanks a million
