Hi,
I've just got my tytn 2 on orange. I have 2 lines with orange on one sim card (personal & business).
My previous phones have been fine with 2 lines on one sim.
Having just been "on hold" with orange customer services for 45 minutes, they are now telling me that the tytn 2 does not support the 2 line feature!
Can someone please confirm this???
To make things worse orange are refusing to take the phone back!!!!!!
Please help.
Many Thanks,
J.
They are correct it does not support it, from memory it does support part but depends on diffrent models, i think it gives a dead tone on line 2 incoming but you can switch to line 2 for outgoing or its the other way round, sorry been a long time since i've had a use for line 2.
I cannot see why you cannot send the phone back you get 7 days with any phone from Orange upgrades so long as you did not purchase instore, either way i would argue they should have advised you that it didnt work with your contract.
Hi,
I have a 2 line SIM card from my provider, it works very good. Both lines will ring if some one call to any of it. You can switch to any line for outgoing calls trough Phone Options. For incoming call you don't need to do nothing, ust insert the SIM and it works, at least in my case is working fine.

the generic HTC tytn II rom works ok with Orange UK. You cant receive calls on line 2 but everything else works ok
you need to flash the rom!
If I flash the phone do you think it will work?
The store has agreed to take the phone back providing that I return it by 10:00am today!

i cant guarantee that it will work but i believe its a ROM issue, so there is a good change it will!
Hi all,
i've got a weird issue with my s730. When i power on the device, most of the times it takes 2 to 4 minutes to get connected to the carrier network and many times, even it's showing there is good connection , i'm unable to place or receive calls.
i've already tried to put different sim cards with the same outcome.
Tried as well to send it to HTC support ( device is still under warranty for a couple of months ) but both times returned with the same problem.
Anyone can help please ?
Cheers
Guys,
anyone can help please ?
I don't want to have to put the device in the bin after less than one year ......
Cheers
You need to provide more information.
- What country are you in?
- What carrier/network operator do you use?
- Type of SIM card (8k, 16k, 32k)
- What software version do you have?
(ROM, Radio etc?)

You can try a rom upgrade or use a CID Unlocker Here Or you can change your imei through registry but i aint sure how to
its already sim unlocked but i dont know if its secuirty unlocked
i emailed olipro a while a go but he didnt respond. either he or tupisdin originally unlocked it for me i cant remember as i had a dimaond previously aswell which i sold for a touch pro, then missed so bad i bought another one
would i be allowed to change imei i thought this was illegal?
il give anything a try right now. if i security unlock again and sim unlock again will this do anything? or maybe if i flash the radio or rom again maybe???? its already hardspl
man thi sis so frustrating im angry!!
o2 just called me and said "technically" they unlocked everything there end but still it wont show signal, i tried 3 different sim cards now too
something did change - it now shows the G symbol by the signal but still no signal - there is just an "!" there
anyone?
id really appreciate some help here guys
This may seem stupid and it probably is but have you tried flashing a hard reset or maybe even flashing a new radio? I don't know if it will work but I'd certainly give it a try if I was you... You never know and you've got nothing to lose...
Hi patterns,
The only way to unbar the device is by the original provider (O2).
The provider simply places a national IMEI block so that your device can't be used anymore in the UK.
The only thing to prevent the device from being barred is by change the IMEI (which is illegal), but the info to do that isn't public (and illegal).
O2 is still the only way to unbar..
hi equinoxe,
thanks - this is what o2 are trying to do, but there is some problem because i moved provider to vodafone and then didnt keep the number, so there is something stuck in transit permanently. o2 have tried 3 times now to do this and keep telling me the same thing, i dont know what to do anymore........
i called and asked if i could change imei, the guy said it would work but he cant assist - obviously as you mention this is not legal. But in saying that is it still illegal if i do it for genuine reason?
man this is so frustrating, i finally out of pure good luck find my phone and it seems useless now!
guys o2 managed to unbar the phone but now it only works on t-mobile and o2????? it wont work on orange or vodafone, any idea why?
I don't know if i can put this topic in this box
i bought a Softbank diamond (X04HT) three months ago and successfully unlock it after then. but the thing happened like I lost my silver sim and i only have black sim of an iphone which i could borrow from friend. i did a lot of searches and found that there were some folks using iphone's black usim for there G1 or HD but when i inserted the usim into my X04HT, it failed to recognize or function with that sim. is there any way to get that work?
need help
can't anybody help?
Hi guys,
Just got my phone back from being bricked and back to its origonal state but its origonal state, although ive got some signal its not letting me call out or recive calls i thought it was my SIM card but it works in other phones,
So i need to fix it has anybody had the same problem?
software is 2.2, and the handset has 3 button disabled
Also it is on the Orange network
Have you set up your APN and SMS settings as supplied by your network provider . If not do that first .
As it sounds like you no longer have the original firmware from the network on your phone .

Hi found out what the problem was the phone was black listed by orange as the phone was purchased off eBay as an unwanted upgrade, I beloved this has happens to alot of people on orange, all you have to do is call orange and give them your IMEI number and then they unblock it,
Thanks for your help though guys
