Someone post wavedev.dll from Windows dir from Himalaya - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 Software Upgrading

Can someone please post the wavedev.dll from the windows directory on there device preferably the Himalaya. It has the loudest volume of them all. I have the pda2k which had slightly lower volume. I guess as you can see this file controls the earpiece volume level. I have one version I don't know what device it is from it was posted in the 1.31 and 1.33.51 thread but it unmaps the speaker phone functionallity. So in other words you have no speaker phone at all. Thank you anyone who will post this. Preferable from the 2.06 rom. I don't know if older versions like WM2003 not second edition will work or not. But please post I will be happy to test.

Himalaya has different audio hardware than BlueAngel. Its wavedev.dll would hang your device if used. I've also noticed the absence of speakerphone functionality, this is because I've previously posted a file from CDMA device. I've attached a different version of this DLL.

Unofficial Bluetooth Stack "Upgrade" For iMate PDA

Check out this link from PocketPCThoughts.com for a new Bluetooth patch from Broadcom for the PDA2K...
Fellow MVP Helio Diamant, of Pocket PC Freak, has gotten a fantastic little nugget for iMate PDA2k owners:
Quote:
A friend of mine has just come back from CES and brought with him a little CAB file that was being given by the guys from Broadcom there. They told him we can publish and offer for download, so I am putting it here to you guys too.
When installed, this CAB adds the following profiles to the Broadcom BT stack in the PDA2K:
1. High-Quality Audio
2. Keyboard
This means that those of you holding stereo headsets can now connect them to PDA2k and here music, navigation instructions, etc from the device. As well, Bluetooth Keyboards are supposed to work well.
Early reports suggest it works with a number of devices, including both HTC Blue Angel and HTC Harrier units; it might work with other Broadcom-based (i.e., Widcomm) Bluetooth units, but there's no guarantee. If you're interested in playing "with it, you can download the CAB here. Note: This update is unofficial and unsupported; install it at your own risk, and do a backup first! As far as I know, it's a RAM update, but I haven't tried it. Good luck if you do. "

Noviur,
On which device did you try ? i-Mate PDA2k?
cheers,
bins
install seems not to work
Just tried the cab install (both from my SD card and Program Files location - after resets), but nothing seems to have changed on my i-Mate PDA2k with Rom 1.22.162 WWE.
1. No BT Services were added (still only File Transfer, InformationExchange, Serial Port, Personal Network Server, Dial-up BNetworking Server, Hands-Free),
2. No update seems to have happened, all module versions remained at 1.0.0.3500 (except obviously the BTPluginManagerCE.exe [1.0.0.1]),
3. Despite the dialog box telling it is "writing information for Remove Programs" it can not be found back in the Remove Programs.
Any clues?
cheers,
bins
P.S. Just in case, and like Noviur, reverted with Sprite Backup
The version information in the package suggests 1.6.0.0600
did you install the 1.6.0.0600 upgrade before u installed this?
i installed it.. the new 2 profiles show up but the audio one doesnt work ..
i have pda2k
any help???
I installed the new patch on an SX-66. It doesn't upgrade the Bluetooth stack or provide new services. But it does add 2 new profiles. One for a Stereo audio headset (this won't work with a Hands free device since the profile doesn't include support for a MIC.) and one for a keyboard.
I also switched my Bluetooth stack to the 1.6 version posted here. This seems to be a stack based on Widcom as opposed to Microsoft. Although my device worked and seemed to pair faster my Handsfree device didn't come on when dialing the phone. So I switched back.
Remco, thx, installed the Broadcom 1.6.0.600 cab-file first and afterwards installed the PDA2k cab-file.
Update seems to have worked and indeed have the two new client profiles.
Will check in the store tomorrow if the HQ audio works indeed and if no other nuisances arise.
Will keep you in the loop.
cheers,
bins
Installed it on my Qtek9090 with rom 1.22.00/1.06.00/1337.38/1.22.556
I was able to bond my Logitech DiNovo keyboard to the PDA and use it !
It works very well, very cool to be able to type on a full size keyboard on your PDA.
I don't own a BT audio headset, so i wasn't able to test that.
All other devices like my GPS mouse, Bluetrek G2 headset etc. seem to work ok as they did before.
nop, it was I-Mate PPC. I new it is for PDA2K, but wanted to try it
Previously I installed Widcom BT 1.6.
No luck for me ... for now at least
Did it answer calls through the b/t headset? Mine wouldn't connect to the headset for outgoing or incoming calls. Also if it does work, which PDA2K cab did you use?
Thanks

Hi,
I just got my HP bluetooth headphones... and I absolutely love them!!!. The range is ok... not great, but enough to be considered fully usable. It crackles if there is some physical resistance between the MDAIII and the headphones, but other than that, they are awesome...
Anyone that is considering to get them, I highly recommend it. But be sure to have a 3500 bluetooth stack (with the extensions posted here of course) and Radio 1.06.02 (I am not sure whether 00 would do equally, but I recommend 02).

Me too. Can someone email me a copy of this file?

BT3900 or BT3500

Hi all,
Just got my PDA2k and like all of you I'm suffering the bluetooth problem. Can someone tell me which is a better fix the BT3500 or BT3900? Does this fix the problem of headset bonding when phone resumes? Does anyone have a link to where either can be downloaded please?
Thanks
Medube 8)
The files are here ftp://xda:[email protected]/BlueAngel/CAB_Files/Bluetooth Upgrades/
I found the 3900 a little bit better, but i think its very independent for each setup.
i sold my XDA2s to a friend (probley soon to be ex friend) anyway as it hard reset its self he gave it back to me to reinstall his tomtom. As there was a rom upgrade i did this as well, i also used the the BT3900 from my XDA2i but i could not get the 2s to pair with any BT headsets, so i had to go back to the BT3500 that came in the new rom upgrade.

I'm confused. Isn't OEM_WWE_160_600.sa.CAB (version 1.6.0.600) a newer version than 1.0.0.3900 or 1.0.0.3500?:

Well as far as i know, the 160_600.sa.cab is a Widcom release, whereas the 3500 and 3900 are Broadcom, and these 2 companies are now the same....again as far as i have heard.
I tried the 160_600.sa.cab but it was a total disaster. Dont let the numbers fool you. Since these are from 2 different companies.
someone has explained in other post that Widcomm 1.6.0.600 is older than Broadcomm 1.0.0.3900. After Broadcomm bought Widcomm they reseted version numbering to 1.0.0
Currently the latest BT stack I was able to find is 1.0.0.3900 and audiogw.dll - 1.33g.00. There is 1.35.00 DLL but it has problems transferring call from BT to handheld. audiogw.dll is the reason of bad sound quality over BT.
I have upgraded to BT 3900, after soft reset the sound cracled like hell, so I reinstalled 3500 and the fix for it (posted on the FTP), then the sound was better, I then reinstalled 3900 and it now sounds good as well. I noticed that the crackle is intermittent on both 3500 and 3900.
Yesterday evening I fully charged my PDA2k and this morning it needed to be charged again, I only made 4 short calls. But I must say that I had my SE HBH-660 off all the time!!??. could this be the reason or the 3900.
P.S. I run my PDA2K with the Arabisation software, and I used to have a lot of hanging and freezing but after cooking the ROM and updating the Radio to 1.06.02 and replacing Caller ID 1.17 (in the extended ROM) with 1.20, it has been running without trouble (for three weeks) in spite of loading lots of other software.
I reckon removing Caller ID 1.17 from the Extended ROM was a good thing!!
ROM Version 1.31.00 WWE
ROM Date 12/13/04
Radio Version 1.06.02
Protocol Version 1337.38
ExtROM Version 1.31.112 WWE
Simple.

Does BT 3900 come with this version of audiogw.dll - 1.33g.00 or is this a sperate file file you have upgraded. If it is can you tell me where to get it from. Ive tried a search here and on google .
Out of interest how do you determine the dll version in pocketpc as this file doesn't come up in the bluetooth manager file list?
I'm using the HP headphones and am pretty happy but the quality is a bit scratchy when you put the XDA2s in your pocket, would be nice if this could be fixed.
Thanks
Wayne

I had the same experience this weekend.
I used to charge it on Friday night and use ir regulary during the weekend with my HBH-600
This weekend, Sunday night battery was exhausted.
I also think that BT 3500 is more stable
audiogw.dll is not included in this one BroadcomCorp_BT1.0.0.3900.cab
Mine is eating power like i have never seen it done before.
Only think .3900 did for me, it's faster to end a conversation pushing the button on the Headset.
I have BT 3900 installed and don't have problems with battery. I have a bonded BT headset and BT activesync connection with PC.
Regarding audiogw. Fix_For_BT.sa.CAB has an updated TIBinaryParser.dll. It deals something with WiFi and BT coexistence. I don't use WiFi so I didn't notice any differences. This archive also has 1.35.00 audiogw.dll that has problems transferring call from headset to phone. I don't recommend installing it. It was taken from Harrier 1.35 ROM and is probably incompatible with other ROMs.
I've attached audiogw.dll that I'm currently using. It is 1.33g version.
I just need some clarification please. If I want to update my BT 3500 stack which of the following cabs should I install ? One of them or both and in what order ?
BroadcomCorp_BTUpdatefor1.0.0.3500.cab

You don't need any of these 2 CABs. The first is high quality audio/BT keyboard profiles update and the second is a buggy DLL from Harrier ROM that cause problems on other devices. You need ftp://[email protected]/BlueAngel/CAB_Files/Bluetooth Upgrades/BroadcomCorp_BT1.0.0.3900.cab and the attached CAB in my prev. post. You may install BroadcomCorp_BTUpdatefor1.0.0.3500.cab if you use BT keyboard or have headset that supports high quality audio profile. I have these 3 CABs installed for 3 days and don't have BT problems.

It's back there now.
Has 3900 improved static?
Has anybody with a PDA2k installed BT3900 to improve static on their BT headset with any success? I'm currently on 3500 through the imate ROM build, and can pair with my HS-850, but the static is pretty bad regardless of the range.

Help anyone?

I am running 1.40 ext Rom 1.40.147 (Cooked) and Radio 1.12.
I want to use my BA while I ride my bike the headphone volume is painfully low. Does anyone know if there is a way to get the volume up some notches. I tried Mamaich's sound patch for 1.33.51 just as a lark but it didn't really make a difference.
I suppose a set of blue tooth stereo headphones will have inbuilt amplification, but I thought there may be another way. Or is this something that can not be done with a software pacth, as I noticed my friend's Andes had the same lack of volume.
Also wondering if Mamaich's 1.33.51 cooked Rom is not on the FTP site anymore. Can anyone put the files back up so I can try them - as I am still having BT issues on 1.40.
Cheers
Russel

Blue Angel - A2DP Bluetooth

Hi all
I have got Blue Angel:
ROM: 1.42.00 WWE
Radio: 1.13.00
BT: 3900
Last week I upgraded to the T-Movbile 1.42 Rom. I then installed the A2DP profile patch and was amazed that my Omiz OMS600 headphones were actually working using the high quality audio profile, and they were working very well.
The other day I did a hard reset to sort out a few things and left it at that. Later on when I came to reinstall my A2DP it wasn't working, nor was using the headphones as just a normal headset. I tried all sorts, including downgrading my ROM because at that point I was wondering whether or not it was actually on a previous version that I had it working.
Anyway... eventually I decided it was the headphones that had an error so emailed Omiz who were very helpful and sent me the download for their firmware flashing utility. This upgraded the ROM of my headphones from 1.06 to 1.25. I can now pair my headphones as a headset but not as High Quality Audio. I can get it to add a High Quality Audio shortcut in BT manager but when it trys to connect it says: "connection failed". Before it was also saying "service unavailable on device" or somthing similar.
Any assistance would be good.
Thanks a lot.

A2DP & WM5
Hi there,
I got the patch from: ftp://xda:[email protected] Upgrades/BT profiles for build 3500/
But I'm not sure if it will work on WM5, I think I have read that it will not, this is my main reason for not moving to WM5 yet... although at the moment while i can't get A2DP working I am not much better off.
How are you finding WM5? Is it reliable enough to compete with WM2003 yet, or is there still a bit of work needed?
It doesn't work under WM5. WM5 has a Microsoft bluetooth stack, this patch does not apply.
WM5 on the BA is quite stable if you have the time to work with it. I am not going back. If somebody comes up with a BT fix for the stand-by problem that does not drain the battery, all of my issues will be fixed.
A2DP on WM5
Thanks for that... I might consider upgrading one evening when I have nothing better to do!
Do you rekon we'll ever see A2DP on the MS bluetooth stack?

I agree. By the moment, I'm very pleased with the performance of WM5 on my BA. It actually runs faster than w2003! And I'm beeing very objective, believe me!
I'm having a big annoyance with writting (sms, word, etc) as the spelling isn't allways what I wrote. On the SMS window, it seems the screen gets redrawn all the time and it loose some words...
The other big is not having A2DP. I think is very frustrating having such a nice machine without a good software that makes all its goodness work! :?
Some delayings on the screen repainting and (I'm using Pocket Informant) slow performance on the everyday tasks as opening the contacts list, or changing toanother program, for example...

Answer is no, not possible yet.
And to the poster above - yes, just need the bluetooth connect issue solved where it drops connection when it goes into stand-by mode. The fix that drains the battery by keeping the unit out of standby mode really isn't a fix for me.
Not that I am complaining - I'm happy to be an early adopter along for the ride..

How do I enable A2DP on my BA??
Hello!!
I have searched the forum many many times and visited wiki, but I could only find 2 threads which is close to what I need to know. This is 1 of them.
I have got Blue Angel:
ROM: 1.40.00 WWE
Radio: 1.12.00
BT: 3900
This configuration came from the recently rom upgrade from o2.
It seems to me that it's possible to enable A2DP on a BA running on WM2003 SE, which allows me to stream music to a bt headphones??
However I just could not find a thread which has an instruction on how to do it. Not even on wiki. After reading some threads, I came to my own conclusion that I need to upgrade me BT to build 3900 and install a patch??
So this was what I did,
Since my BT is already 3900 "offical" version, thus I didn't do anything to it.
I d/l this file BA_OEM_AudioGW (1.33g.00).CAB (83KB) and ran it on my PPC. I then got the audiogw.dll in my windows folder.
That was all I did. It didn't work of course. I have another file, BroadcomCorp_BT1.0.0.3900.cab but didn't use it as I'm already on 3900??
So I was just hoping that someone who has done it and was successful, could point me in the right direction!!! Thanks a lot!!!
anyone tried running both cab loacted at
ftp://ftp.xda-developers.com/BlueAn...age BT 1.0.0.3900 and audiogw.dll - 1.33g.00/
if it works, do let me know. I currently do not have a bluetooth headphones to test with.
I have Omiz headset (with MP3 and radio FM) and due to work with my Magician I had to manually change some registry entries. Point was that my PDA was not correctly identified as a A2DP device (only HF). I paired my PDA with normal BT dongle with A2DP profile, found registry entries with dongle mac adress and copied manually keys coressponding with a2dp service to folder with my headphones profiles. After all that it was possible to chose headphopnes in BT menager as stereo audio receiver.
Maybe its similar and u should look in registry...
jarekt, can you post those registryvalues please?!
Can't get streaming audio to BT headphones
I still have had no luck with the BA_OEM_AudioGW (1.33g 00) Cab or any registry settings under WM5.
BT a2dp WM5
have you tried the file (.cab) i uploaded in BlueAngel under uploads, it let me pair BT Stereo under wm5. Nevermind I looked someone deleted it dont know why. PM me and i can send if you want, I tried to reupload but Uploads appears broken.
I am on thesame situation of errorist.
My machine is on Broadcom 3900, and I want to make A2DP work.
If anyone can shed a light on how to make it work, I'd be very very grateful.
BTW, I have a Motorola HT820.
UPDATE:
I have installed the 3900 stack + audiogw dll even though I had a factory-installed 3900 stack, and I managed to connect in handsfree mode.
I still have not found out how to connect in A2DP mode though...
Any help is appreciated.
Hi All
I dont know how useful this is going to be, but i spent ages doing research to get my ht820 and my 02 xda 2s working properly, and when i did, i wrote a semi bad guide here
http://www.corecodec.com/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=29&expv=0&topic=2840.0
if its any use i'd be tempted to maybe write it up proper and put in in the wiki, either way, try some of the steps or files ive listed (most of them are from here)
but it gets it working with TCPMP aswell, which is a lot better than WM10 anyhow
good luck
BTW: ivans rom uses the broadcom stack, so the patch may work, however i dont have the headphones to test it with
i've onstalled this two cabs too, but new profile didn't appeared. Bay Be some registry values didn't appied? who did this patch?

How to increase volume when make a call

Please, some body tell me how to increase volume of internal speaker? my TytnII's internal speaker volume is small, i can't hear when i'm in the street! With my Treo 650 this problem can fix easily with "Volume Caze" software, what about Windows Mobile?
thanks!
Well in this day and age, get another phone. No offence I just had to say that.
have you tried the obvious roll up the wheel while your in a call (rtfm). thats as loud as it goes
otherwise you could always get another phone (theres an echo in here)
I see a smile here.

What Rom are you using? TPC had some volume hacks for his Roms. Not sure if they will work in others. Some of the hacks had a tendency to mess up bluetooth audio, but you can try it at your own free will.
Just extract the file and copy to you Windows folder using a file explorer like Resco File Explorer. I take no liability if you mess up your device though. However I have personally used these hacks and I already stated some of the bugs they have.
Interesting... I just determined today (day 2 of using TPC's Mega Minila) that my in call volume is DEFINITELY lower with this rom than my previous (KAIS_ROM__eOS_4_888_FiRe_pp6__NoRadio).
There must be something up with different roms.... I'll give these hacks a try I guess.
Same here with TPC's Mega M2D
I have the same volume problem using TPC's Mega. I was gonna try switching radios and see if that would help, but other radios dont give me the signal reception that I get from the one I'm currently using. Have anyone tried any of these three on TPC's Mega Manilla rom, and if so, which one is the best volume level of the three, and does bluetooth audio suffer? And if I try one and decide one of the others is better, or decide I can't use any of them, is it as simple as removing it from /Windows and soft-resetting, or will it change some registry stuff or something ?

I have used these with TPC roms and they work. TPC's default is the normal one. You can try the louder & loudest, and if you don't like it, copy the normal one back to the Win dir. I have a Jawbone Bluetooth headset and I experienced some audio issues. But you can try it and see. If you have problems, like I said just copy the normal one back to windows.
it works! Also the quality of the sound isn't too good but it's ok (I've tried the loudest)! Thank Philux-X!
